Vibrant, healthy, fresh and fast delivery. 26 sent with the plus of and 2 for 1 huge clump (great valueforthe $$. Thank you to the seller and job well done, if I could give 20 stars I would. 🌟 Review: Grow well and taste great - [May 2025] Last year, I started a tiered raised bed with the rootstock I ordered last year. That rootstock did very well last year and expanded with a zillion runners as I hoped it would. I didn't get any strawberries last year - but that was okay, I wasn't expecting that. The plants did very well through the winter. All the plants survived. This year, I pruned all the excess foliage in January. Now in May, I have thousands of flowers, and most have strawberries developing. This looks like it will produce a large crop. I'm crossing my fingers - but these look better than the ones in my other public garden plot that I've had for years. [Original] This is the third year I've grown these (I add new ones every year). I set up a passive watering system (from a rain barrel) and water each plant three times a day. After doing this the yield was fantastic. This year, I had an issue with USPS delivering the rootstock on time. It sat in my local post office for three weeks before arrival. The plants looked pretty sorry—I don't know if those will make it. I ordered another set because I thought desertcart was refunding the first order (they didn't). The second order arrived in a timely manner, and all of the root stock plants have started (zero have died). So, if delivered on time, these plants are great. I love this variety of strawberries. They had fruit last year from July through October. They are also very good tasting. Late in the year, we had trouble with yellow jackets, but the birds left them alone (because we put out rocks painted red early in the year). This year we will put up yellowjacket traps.

Excellent quality
My plants arrived very quickly, ahead of schedule. They were in perfect condition, and since my weather was just right they went in the ground the same day they arrived. There was new growth in 2 days, and at the 2 week mark all look terrific, very green and healthy.

Excellent! Highly recommend!
I was a little concerned with the condition of my strawberry plants/roots when I received them as I live in Phoenix and they'd been in the heat for a little while when delivered. Also, the ball of plants was really unusual looking. However, after following the instruction to soak (I did two hours) and then separate and plant them I found that each plant had a huge amount of roots, and they have really taken off! I planted these on Saturday, and today on Thursday they are really thriving! It has been up to 108 degrees here in Phoenix this week, so I was really worried about how these would do, but keeping them here in the shade on my patio seems to be working well with me watering them lightly in the morning and afternoon to cool them and keep them moist. I've had quinalt strawberries before and they've always done really well here in the Phoenix area. Based on what I'm seeing here I would recommend these to anyone in a similar climate!

Not the variety listed.
These plants were NOT the Quinalt variety as advertised. Quinalt Strawberries were developed here in the Pacific Northwest at the University of Washington and do very well in our cool Pacific Northwest climate. These plants all survived planting them in September and continued to grow until the first frost. However, all but 2 of the 25 died over the winter. The remaining two plants were slow to start up this spring and have not flowered as of June. I have grown Quinalt berries before and they thrive in our climate and start bearing fruit in early June. These plants are not behaving like a Quinalt Strawberry.

Great strawberries
Ordered 25 last year, 50 this year. The shipping seemed slow both times, but they were well packaged and all survived. I'm in Zone 9 (Texas). Our soil is dense and sandy. I added some ground oyster shell, gave the plants a good soak pre-planting, and that was it. Tons of 1-2 inch firm, sweet berries (the photo provided for this item is accurate). Healthy plants the entire season (no wilt or blight). If we don't overwinter these, I will definitely be ordering them again.

Pay attention to the guarantee.
Only four of 26 survived. I planted according to instructions, all in identical soil and sunlight. The four that lived are beautiful and baby strawberries are already growing. I didn't notice they came with a 30 day guarantee so I missed that window.
