- About this item Set consists of Vantage Pro 2 6152EU and rain gauge heater 7720. The Vantage Pro 2 is weather measuring system, which was developed for professional purposes, especially agriculture. It works on the latest scientific knowledge and has a sophisticated software that allows highly accurate weather forecasts. It consists of a high quality display, a combined outdoor unit and a rain gauge heater. This instrument measures the rainfall through a very large rain gauge and the wind direction and speed with an extremely accurate wind gauge. Temperature and humidity are measured in a protected, well-ventilated enclosure. The outdoor sensor is supplied with a solar power cell with battery backup. Particularly appreciated is the frequent update rate of the wind data at intervals of 2.5 seconds. Thus, you do not miss a single gust of wind! For all measurement data, a history graphic is available. The weather center is highly accurate and expandable. Optionally, UV sensors, solar radiation sensors, soil and leaf moisture sensors can be connected. Of course, a computer connection via USB or serial port is optionally available. The housing can be fitted with solar powered ventilation for even better measurement conditions. This set contains the base, the complete outdoor sensor and the rain gauge heater 7720. The rain gauge heater can be used in winter to warm your Vantage Pro 2 rain gauge to measure the moisture content of the snow. It requires a mains power supply and has a heater with thermostat.
