Ahh the memories and I just about knew every line which I’m sure was annoying to everyone else but I enjoyed it. Came nicely packaged. No problems here

Yeah, we rented and watch this while tripping on Amanita Muscaria. It’s as good high as it is sober, still a fantastic movie.PS- Jim Carrey’s neck does some WEIRD stuff when it kicks in. I swear I thought it was gonna stretch off the screen! 🤣

Rare case where the second movie in a series is better than the first. It's a lot more ridiculous, but I think that is what makes it work. I don't want a seriously good story with this character, I want insane shenanigans.

This is one of the funniest movies. All the Ace Ventura movies are funny, but this one especially so.

The 90's were so much better then the 20's!

I saw a video clip on my social media, and made me remember when was younger ! Ended up looking for this movie and rent it to watch with my kids and laught with all the crazy thing he did on the movie !

Don't let the "2" scare you, this is Jim Carrey giving his peak comedic performance through a character who has now fully developed and matured. He's a multi dimensional character, too! You have to root for him in his Eco-activism and anti-bad guy antics, but at the same time he is a caracature of many overzealous PETA types who might throw paint on you for owning a pure bred pup. This is most clearly demonstrated when he leaves his (Buddhist?) monastery and the fellow monks are doing back-flips because they will finally be rid of this bozo.You can watch, "When Nature Calls" on many different levels: it is a silly movie full of butt jokes (yes, his talking out his hind side makes a galant return), but it also follows the classic hero-villain comic type formula with mustache-twirling baddies and overacting from everyone. It references anthropology, conflicts between tribes and the modern world, Eastern religion, and it even tackles (superficially) the economic motivations for ecological harm. Pretty impressive for a stupid, silly movie full of butt-talking!The 1990's was a high point for 90-ish minute comedies featuring alums from sketch comedy, in Jim Carrey's case the brilliant, underrated "In Living Color" which was decades ahead of it's time. This film rivals anything Sandler has done, and I would argue Carrey is the better actor. His dramatic roles are equally brilliant.Don't overlook this classic! It absolutely belongs alongside classics by Python, Mel Brooks and the Zucker Bros. Maybe it's no "Airplane" or "Holy Grail," but it should at least be in their company, worth watching again and again. And you can share it with your kids!
