These Neewer batteries have been on a few shoots working right along with real Sony batteries - Even when the a7Riii was updated to firmware 3.01 the batteries work fine in the camera, and the camera doesn't complain at all - the battery capacity indicator continues to work just fine.These batteries are lasting just as long and charge in the same length of time as Sony batteries. Electrically they seem perfectly fine.The grip - well it's not Sony quality - but it is sort of OK. The buttons work but don't have the same feel as Sony, and the covering isn't quite as good with a little glue oozed out here and there. You get what you pay for. It does hold two batteries though - but we've found 1 battery is enough for a day-long photo shoot in most cases. If you're shooting a lot of 4k vids then 2 batteries would be handy.Mainly bought this kit for the TWO batteries and grip for the same or less cost than just a single Sony battery.It is worth the money for what you get. If you want Sony quality, then get Sony products...but this will work for what it is.

I was a little apprehensive when ordering my grip. Some reviews said that the batteries were not compatible with their camera and some said that the build of the grip was shoddy.Well, I am pleased to report that the batteries work perfectly in both the grip and the camera itself. The camera (A7RIII) just sees them as ordinary batteries and gives me the charge in the normal way. As for the grip itself, it is well made, there is no visible glue around the rubber and it fits the camera perfectly. The shutter button, as some reported, does not feel as precise as the actual camera's shutter button but I have had no problem in using it.I have one small gripe about the grip (pardon the almost pun) but it is not worth cutting a star off. The battery door from the camera does not clip into the grip's cutout properly. One of the hinge holes must be slightly out of alignment, however once the door latch is closed it fits snugly into the cutout and is actually quite secure. A couple of my pictures show the cutout and the installed door.I would definitely recommend this battery grip!

Update... I’ve used this for a while now and can say that it’s great. The battery life is about as long as the original battery. The charging works as like it’s supposed to. I took it on a 2 day assignment and didn’t need to recharge. The grip feels like the rest of the camera, though the buttons feel a little different. This is a wonderful battery grip and works great. Buy it.I have an a7iii running the Ver. 3.1 firmware. I mostly wanted to let anyone know that upon installing the grip and batteries, everything worked flawlessly. Not even a warning. The display show the levels of both batteries. One was at 80% the other was full. I connected my USB-C to the camera and it started charging. So far, so good. I’ll update if anything goes wrong, but it’s great so far.

I’ve always had a grip on my camera, and I knew with my A7iii, it was gonna be a must. I shot an event before where I had a long lens that made my camera front heavy. It was a rough on the wrist towards the end. With the grip, I had no problem going 8+ hours. It just adds a different balance of weight and ergonomic feel. Plus, you get double the battery life so you never have to really worry about switching cameras. I imagine you can easily snap 4,000 shots without worry. It’s fantastic!

Great feel. The grip is solid. Very happy about that. It comes with 2 batteries. Always nice to have backups. I only had one issue. I couldnt charge one of the batteries... I took it off my sony charger and it charged 2 days later. Perhaps my charger, but ill keep an eye on it.I like the shutter feel and the controls are responsive. (I did jam the joystick when pulling out of my bag. Menus were going everywhere. It unstuck ok. I gotta be careful and hopefully it doesnt do it again.

This provides excellent battery life, and the fact that it comes with TWO batteries is a huge plus. You essentially end up with three total batteries (two from this purchase and the OEM that came with your camera) which is plenty for most shoots. I use this with my a7iii and it works perfectly. I highly recommend this if you don't want to spend $300 (as of this writing) on Sony's battery grip which doesn't come with any batteries.I just hope this holds up in the long run.

Seems good so far! Definitely does not feel heavy duty in terms of its materials and weight, but when it’s attached, looks fairly seamless. Works perfectly for simply extending the battery capacity. All the custom buttons work and the vertical shutter button, alrighty very different from the standard, works perfectly fine! Works for me and saved me a lot of money lol.

This grip is Amazing!!! Feels snug on the camera and looks organic.The battery life is AWESOME. I had to shoot two college baseball games back to back and one battery lasted me approximately 6 hrs before the 2nd one needed to kick in. 10/10.This a is a great purchase for anyone looking to upgrade their Sony camera. Couldn’t recommend more!!!

The packaging and build quality are good for this price point. All buttons function as expected.Lots of great features and batteries have more juice than the originals.Will provide more updates in a few months once I have put this Camera grip to good use.

My battery life has lasted me for ages! So firstly you can charge these on the a7iii whilst mounted (but only via the USB C port on the camera) i.e. they can be charged when fitted.The battery life is excellent! The grip is good and does not weigh too much. Overall great buy.

Perfetto in tutto (per ora),... presa eccezionale,... buoni i tasti e le ghiere... batterie come le originali e che possono essere sostituite anche senza togliere la fotocamerà dal cavalletto (peccato per la levetta in plastica con cui si sblocca/blocca il relativo sportellino che sembra molto fragile)Consiglio questo grip a tutti ;)

J'ai acheté ce produit avec beaucoup d'hésitation vu les autres avis, mais j'ai foncé, je l'ai reçu au plutôt que prévu, il marche très bien avec mon Sony a7iii et aussi sur mon Sony A7RIII, toutes les touches fonctionnent avec, les batteries sont très bien, colis reçu avec beaucoup de soins en un mot je suis très satisfait, il n'est pas très lourd.
