SMP Lite 209 Carbon

For reference I am a 41yo 260lb male. I bike an average of 20 miles per ride,3-5 x week lasting about 2 hours per ride. I have done about 5 rides (100+miles/10hrs) on this seat. The seat is on a full suspension MTB. I bought this seat to replace my Selle Royal of the same size. Both are fairly comfortable for a guy my size but this seat eliminated 90% of the numbness I was having with the Selle Royal. Compared to a stock seat these are both INSANELY more comfortable. For guy my size this is about a close to perfect I will find. Most people think the bigger/wider the better but then you end up with interference if your pedal stroke and/or chaffing. So there definitely a size limit before it negatively affects your efficiency and begins to create other issues. Good Luck!!

I have a Nordictrack bike and found the factory seat to be unbearable; when I rode, I would be numb within minutes. After a little research, I found that can have some serious long term effects. A friend recommended this seat to me and it is a game changer! No more numbness, very comfortable, and does not interfere with the high intensity purpose of the bike. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants an affordable replacement seat.

Absolutely comfortable from the start. First installed it level, front bars dug in a bit and were too hard. Adjusted seat angle down a few degrees in the front and instantly the pressure was removed. Took a long ride with the saddle at that angle and was in my glory. Best ride yet in a long time. Love the cutout to keep comfortable on a hot, humid day!

I've never tried an extra wide saddle, but this was an improvement for me. Like other Selle saddles I've owned, the back is flexible and comfortable but the nose is hard as a rock. Watch the videos online on how to determine the best fore/aft position and angle for these saddles. I've spent more than an hour with the bike on a trainer experimenting with different positions. So the rear of my butt hurts much less than before. I would rate the comfort higher if the nose had more padding.

If your crotch is convex, don't mash it, cradle it! These seats beat out all other modern bicycle improvements in my opinion, by supporting you along the entire inside edge of your sit-bones, not just the pointy tips at the rear. Meanwhile, important parts are not mashed. A must try for numbness. Right for me in a way that my Brooks Pro never, ever will be. YBMV (Your Butt May Vary)

I almost had to stop riding my bike because of the severe pain I would feel after about 8 miles. This seat was a desperate attempt to keep riding and IT WORKED!! I am not pain free but it has eliminated at least 80% of the pain and I can totally live with that. This seat is pricey - 1/3 of the price I paid for my folding, portable bike but it was totally worth it to be able to keep riding.

Bought this saddle to replace the stock Peloton saddle. It was comfortable with one exception. There is a seam around the outside edge that rubbed my inner thighs. In fact it nearly rubbed a hole in my workout leggings after two 45 minute rides. Had to return.

I was having so much trouble with my old seat and decided to try this one......or never ride again! I was really hurting. This seat is amazing!! I have now ridden on 4 rides, all over 30 miles in length (2+ hours) and all my soft tissue discomfort is gone. The change was immediate- I couldn't believe that this seat made that much difference but I'm really glad I looked around and found the seat with the biggest cut-out on the market. Width isn't a problem, gel is nice. Even when I am in the down position on my road bike, it's still comfy. Whew!

Après 200 kms (et encore 300 à faire pour boucler la boucle) je suis bluffée du confort de cette selle. Aprés maintes recherches sur le net pour savoir QUELLE selle choisir pour réduire les douleurs de nos parties intimes de femmes, c'est celle-ci qui arrivait en téte de liste. Je confirme que j'ai à nouveau du plaisir lors de nos longs périples en vélos ! Alliée à un bon cuissard (très important aussi !) la journée sur le vélo est un vrai bonheur ! L'appui sur les ischions reste inévitable et donc "sensible" mais plus du tout douloureux comme sur une selle classique. Le gel de la selle est réellement efficace. Et pourtant quand je l'ai reçu je l'ai trouvée spartiate et plutôt dure ! Mais non, une fois installée et surtout essayé sur ces premiers 200 kms, je recommande vivement !!!

I love this bike seat and I would recommend it to anyone. I've used it on my 11km each way daily commute in all weather on a flat bar road bike for a few years now. Nicely padded with gel and I love the way it's shaped to take the pressure off sensitive areas. Much more comfortable than the seat that came with my bike which already had a decent amount of padding. I no longer notice my seat at all when I'm riding, which is I think the best compliment you can give a seat. Not cheap but well worth the investment. It's also very durable, I was in an accident recently and my bike (but luckily not me) ended up under a 4WD. The bike had a lot of damage but this seat came away with just scuff marks, the fabric held up really well to being scraped on the road surface. I liked this seat so much I just bought a second one for my dad. This was to replace a cheaper gel seat that developed holes after less than a year. You get what you pay for.

I am a casual cyclist, rather than an enthusiast or sportsman, so despite having bought myself a nice new gravel bike, I just want to be able to use it wearing my everyday clothes. I'm sure padded cycle shorts are the best solution for the die-hards amongst us, but if like me you just want to pop to the shops, or do a circuit of the park or local area, you don't want to have to dress like you're joining the Tour de France. I therefore want a saddle fitted with adequate padding to do the work instead, and this Selle seems to do the trick. It's early days yet, but initial ride-outs have been comfortable in jeans or nomal shorts and no tell-tale soreness around the inner saddle area afterwards. I also have a bad back, so wanted to eliminate all pressure on the base of the spine, which this saddle seems to do with its large cutout down the middle. It was easy to fit to the bike. It is not the lightest (definitely a little heavier than the supplied one I took off) but again, unless 200g extra is going to ruin your road race, it's a negligable difference.

Este sillín lo compré para mi mujer. Llevaba años sin subir en bici, lo hemos vuelto a retomar, y su principal preocupación era el sillín, que no sufriera molestias por haber tenido en el pasado una intervención, de ahí el temor a no poder practicar este deporte. Probó con fundas de gel sobre el sillín estándar, y no le iba bien. Finalmente, y viendo los buenas críticas, nos arriesgamos a comprar este sillín. Lleva unos tres meses con él, y en ninguna ocasión ha sentido ninguna molestia, un sillín francamente aconsejable, muy buen producto.
