Best colored pencil blender!
What can I say? These are THE best blending pencils I've found! I've tried many brands (Prismacolor, Derwent, etc) and keep coming back to these. They work well with ALL my pencils, including Faber Castell Polychromos, Caran d'Ache Pablo, Derwent Coloursoft, Lyra Rembrandt Polycolors, and even Prismacolor. What I like about these blenders is that they feel very smooth and buttery to use. The Prismacolor blender feel so scratchy I can't stand to use it and honestly feel like it's just going to tear my paper up if I press down much at all. This one I can use anywhere from light to heavy pressure depending on the effect I want. It BRIGHTENS my colors just as much as it blends and smooths them. It is somewhat fragile, since it's not cased in wood. If it breaks, you can just sharpen the little piece and stick it in a pencil extender and it works just as well as before.

universal
There is no one blender for all projects. Each blender serves a diff purpose for each brand. I love these and the prisma colorless blender. This blender looks more professional when blending FC Polys and the finish looks better compared to blending with the Prisma blender. Both work well but it depends on the look you want to achieve really. I love how this is ALL blender and no wood casing and sharpening is easy. Very diff feeling without a casing though. With Prisma, whatever color you blend tends to stay on the blender and you have to have a extra paper handy for scribbling the colors off before you move onto another color. With this blender, it doesn't matter what brand of pencil you blend out because it is always clean when your done so I find that a plus. This blender blends out Prisma, FC polys/classics, and Staedtler colored pencils. I am still waiting on my Caran D'ache luminance pencils to arrive so I can test those as well with both blenders. The Prisma blender works better on their own products and not as universal like this blender. Hope this helps.

Fun product! Breaks easily so you have to be careful.
I'm giving 5 stars.. I did read the reviews but was too rushed when it came that I broke the pencil when opening.. SO I just sharpened the halves & it works GREAT! I'm new to using these brighten pencils & other blending pencils so it's been fun to play around with things. It did the job brightening and depending on the color it blended it pretty well. I can see where some of the others blended better but these worked great too. I find that each blender pencil I bought several to try) blended a bit differently which is nice to try with my colored pencils. I did notice that it smeared the gel pen so I don't think I let it dry enough.. Useful info for next time! Like I said the pencils break easy so you just have to be careful. It would be nice if there was case of some kind to store them so they don't break more... Trying to still figure that out.. As I'm writing this I wonder if they'd be better in an extender, maybe I'll try that next! Anyway fun product, impressed & will purchase again! :-)

Not quite what I expected for all the hype
I bought these for blending my colored pencils in my adult coloring books, They were highly reviewed on a few of the online coloring groups I am active in. I failed to see all the rage they got when I tried them though. They are 100% usable that means that you can break them and still use them and there is no "lead" to sharpen. You literally sharpen the entire pencil. They are waxy so it may be harder to go back over your picture once you have used them on it. You may also see a bit of a "shine" on your picture from where you have applied the pencil. To be honest I used these with Faber Castell Polychromos so perhaps if they are used with the actual pencil brand that makes them they would work a bit better. I did not like how I went to color with them and the snapped right in my hand. I was happy to be able to sharpen the little nub and continue using it though. In case you are completely new to what these even are supposed to do they are meant to blend colored pencil. Think of it as making your pencil drawing look more like a painting. Blending is an absolutely lovely technique. I will try to get back and leave some photos of what it does if I can find any of the broken pencils I still may have.

Excellent service. Caran D'ache blender works exactly as the company claims! Great product!
I'm brand new to the world of colored pencil art. Purchasing an entire setup of an experienced colored pencil artist isn't in my budget, so I have to pick and choose what I need a little at a time. I decided to go with the Caran D'ache Full Blender rather than OMS or powder blender and all the accompanying supplies needed to use either of those blending methods. I'm glad I tried this method first. These blenders do exactly what they are supposed to while being perfectly sheer. For basic blending and furnishing, it can't get more easy. Only gthing I would advise is to get more than one pack because the blender is wearing down faster than I, due to having no experience, expected. It arrived very promptly and in perfect condition, so kudos to the seller!

Absolutely worth it!
This makes your colors more intense, bright, and blended! I use this with my prismas. The prismas blender is nice to but if I had to choose one or the other I'd choose this one. I was a little worried I'd waste my money since I already had the prisma blender and didn't know if it was going to give similar results but it was well worth it! The results you get with this is noticeably different! It also works well with FC Polychromos.
