Northeastern Exhaust - Stainless Steel Muffler Fits 2006-2012 Toyota Rav4 2.4L 2.5L- Includes Clamp and Gasket

This is basically one of only a few mufflers that is stainless. The original Toyota OEM without installation will cost between $500 to $1200 dollars for a part that should never wear out in the first place. My original 152k muffler did last way past most only because I painted it when it was brand new, the only part of the muffler that I could not paint rusted a small pin hole and was the only reason why part only failed! I would not install any other replacement muffler that was not stainless steel, you want one and done. This new muffler does come with brackets that avg at best and are not stainless. I ended up purchasing a 2.5 inch stainless brackets separately. I had my mechanic do the installation for only $100 and he was able to unbolt my original exhaust because it was painted 12 years ago and he was very surprised that all the original bolts came out, go figure. Overall it is a clean direct bolt on which is rare with some after market parts. The overall quality seems to be very good, but for good measure I ending up painting it completely with High temperature exhaust paint before the installation this time I got it all painted. The muffler might be stainless but the resonator connection is not. Also the rubber dampers do not come with the muffler and you should be able to use your original ones if they are in good shape otherwise you should order those as well. Overall very happy with the end result and would recommend this product.After having this muffler installed for two years now it is still working as intended, but I am a little disappointed that the so called Stainless steel which you would think would not rust! But news flash it rusts at most of the weld points especially on the front and back parts of the muffler and it was previously painted with a High Temp 2000 degree Silver paint before it was even installed two coats and it is still some rust which for me is a major disappoint. I ended up having to sand an repaint the surface rust off yet again. I would say that this Chinese Stainless Steel is not as good quality as I had hoped for. If it was true Stainless muffler I should have no rust after only 2 years of installation.

Just the tail pipe came bent

It didn’t fit my RAV4 as described. Seller charges a restocking fee that is not mentioned on the website.

Did not fit my toyota properly, had to cut pipe and add a few customizations and adaptions to make it work. However does not sit properly because of this either.
