The Dictionary of Cultural Literacy, 2nd Edition, Revised & Updated Paperback – January 1, 1993

I had this book several years ago but am unable to locate it, so I ordered another. I plan to use it with my 7th graders when I have several moments to work on reading comprehension. I can read a brief entry and we can begin a discussion on meaning and inferences and allusions.

This is a fascinating encyclopedic collection that can be read in big chunks or small ones. It offers a fun education in itself.

Book is great but came with out a cover.
