28806 Perfect Sweep Turbo, Grey

I've been wanting something like this a very long time. I have a housekeeper who sweeps and mops my tile floors twice a week and I got this in case anything spilled between her visits. I found this simple and easy to assemble; I just screwed the three handle pieces together. It's very lightweight. It needs to be charged for 16 hours before the first use. I easily ran it over the tile floors in all rooms and was amazed at all the gray dust and dirt it picked up. It's so quiet and light I wasn't expecting much, but the dirt cup was full! I also love that it's small enough to go under the bed to clean the dust underneath it. I hadn't been able to find a vacuum that fit my need for something very lightweight that can go under low furniture and this works for that and does a fantastic job. The price is right, it's small and light, and vacuums like a regular vacuum.

I like to wait a while before I review products like this because it generally gives me not only an idea as to whether or not the item is going to last as well as how the item works- far more than anything else, I think that this is probably the most important thing that you can do with ANY piece of equipment so, impressions. We first purchased a Shark which was... alright except for the fact that the model that we got died on us within the first month. Twice. So, we tried a few other items over time with only so-so results before we got this Bissell. Right of the box, the Bissell seems to have the same older battery-model annoyances that apparently, all sweepers have- long charge time, susceptible to overcharging, has to be run down completely... You know, the usual. I've come to the conclusion over the course of my research that this has to be because it keeps the cost down by a substantial amount on the units themselves- after all, who wants to pay 100's of $ just for something to run around the floor for a few minutes? So, yeah, I gotta agree with the choice all the manufacturers have made on this one: the charging requirements are annoying but, I wouldn't pay the extra $ just so I could leave yet ANOTHER energy vampire device plugged into my wall 24/7 so that I can use it for 5 minutes here and there EITHER. Beyond that, as I've learned with other battery operated items that get used sporadically: don't ever let the run-times fool you because ONLY day-to-day use can ever really determine how often you'll REALLY need to charge it (for us this seems to come down to about 1 a month for this unit which is actually a lot less than the Shark we used to have- which lasted the longest). As to the power of the unit. Like others, I wouldn't exactly call it "turbo" but then again, I just can't see how having a super-powered "engine" in a sweeper could make the slightest difference to anyone other than Tim Allen. In my experience, as long as it's powerful enough to sweep the little bits you're trying to get rid of up and into the collection bin- bristle location, height and length? Waaaaay more important. Remember this is a SWEEPER, not a vacuum. The motor just turns the wheel, so any extra power only goes towards draining that battery faster. These things have NO SUCTION so there's nothing that you CAN "turbo." Still, because of the bristle length and bar-placement, I can understand how the ILLUSION of a "turbo" could be created to someone who thought that there was some suction going on because they are VERY well placed- at least for our low pile rugs and tiled floors. Seriously, unless it's REALLY bad, one time is all I need to go over an area. In fact, while just about every sweeper that I've tried can get kitty liter, dried cat food, etc, this bad boy can get even the small stuff that the others would leave behind- like sawdust from off of a tiled floor- even from the little grout crevices (although admittedly that took two passes but in the Bissell's defense, it WAS a lot of sawdust). Now we come to the above-mentioned bar that the bristles are attached to. I will have to admit that I didn't see the point of it being red at first but, after the first time of having to clean it, I now understand that this is so that you can see the inevitable hair that ALWAYS seems to wrap itself around these things in both vacuums and sweepers alike. Since, over time, this can destroy your device, I have to admit that I appreciate both the fact that it's red AND the fact that the collection bin is directly above it. This means that when the bin is pulled not only can you SEE all of those annoying and damaging hairs but that you can remove them a LOT easier than I have ever had to remove them from ANYTHING before. In all honest, since I've always had long hair, even if the Bissell had exploded on the very first use, I would STILL give that design choice a standing ovation. It's just ingenious. Truly. Whatever mad and unnamed genius out there that seemed to have finally understood that a lot of women have long hair and what that means to all cleaning items that have bristle bars should be thanked! A thousand blessing upon you sir/madame! All joking aside, it really is a lot easier to clear the bristle bar on this Bissel then anything I've ever had to clear before. Just run the requisite box- cutter along each side and pull it free- no more having to remember which way the bar is supposed to turn so you can unwind a particularly nasty clump! Yay! And, speaking of cleaning, because the item is all-but open when you do pull out the collection bin, it's really easy to wipe down- which means that it actually DOES get wiped down once in a while. Appearance-wise, I'm not 100% thrilled with the choice of clear plastic any more than I was with the bright red (and highly visible) bristle bar but, again, these were practical choices made for usage- not style and I have to admit that I'd rather something that worked than looked pretty. This brings us to the bane of ALL sweepers, everywhere: edges. Like all sweepers, edges do indeed give the Bissell a bit of a problem. Running it along the wall just isn't going to get that little bit next to the baseboard, however, UNLIKE the other sweepers we've tried, the Bissell WILL get most of it, if you come at the area head-on. Granted, this means "bumping" the wall a few times as you work your way along it, but, this is still a vast improvement of other models we've tried because, this means that we're only having to get the old-fashioned broom or (far more often these days) the little hand-held brush with the collection pan for the corners. This is a LOT less than the entire perimeter of the room- so, yeah, lots better. I think it's just the way that sweepers have to be designed by their nature because most vacuums aren't any better unless you pull out the wand either. So finally, the summary: PROS: Bristle length and bar placement are EXCELLENT for getting small things. Maintenance is easy including clearing the bristle-bar (THANK YOU KIND STRANGER!) Can edge a little with some fancy maneuvering. CONS: Fugly color design obviously chosen on purpose because it's more effective (I'm for the easier to clean bristle bar but others might not agree) Battery is still the same-old annoying tech as all the others (other people might want to pay more for an easier to charge unit) Summary: There's nothing, really that makes this unit stand out until you use it. It's a sweeper. Some people are always going to want to make it work like a vacuum and, it can't. Others are going to try to make it work like a broom and, it can't. It's just a sweeper. High piled rugs and carpets, edges and corners just aren't the items you really want to reach for a sweeper to tackle and you don't want to leave this thing plugged into the wall 24 hours a day. That being said, it's a very GOOD sweeper. It picks up not only the big stuff that's easy for bristles to catch onto but also little things. It handles both grout between tiles and low pile indoor/outdoor rugs wonderfully. It's easy to see that the collection bin is full, easy to wipe down and clearing the bristle bar is a breeze (can NOT stress how important that is to those of us with long hair that try to keep our cleaning equipment in good repair). Battery life is decent and it's very good for a quick run over the floors to keep them up. So: not a miracle worker but an extremely well-designed machine that works well.

Do I like the Bissell Perfect Sweep Turbo? Well, I've bought three of them over the past few years, so yes, I do. It's not the Ultimate Cleaning Machine. It's not even a vacuum. But for what it is, it's handy and works fine for a very reasonable price. So what is it? The best way to describe its function is this: a motorized dustpan and brush. The spinning brush bar at the front is surprisingly good at cleaning up those annoying messes that would ordinarily be tackled with a broom or dustbrush. It's also great for quickly dusting floors (and lo-pile carpets) between regular cleanings. Do you bake? if you get a dusting of flour on the kitchen floor, the Perfect Sweep will get most if not all of it. Small stuff gets spun into the bin quickly. It even cleans up those annoying static-y beads that break off styrofoam packaging. What it's not is 1) durable or 2) foolproof. You'll be lucky if the rechargeable batteries hold a charge after a year of use. If you don't follow the instructions in the user guide they'll die even sooner (One exception: the guide says the charging light won't go out when charging is done, but that's not true with recent models). I strongly advise buying a third-party replacement set, which is easy to swap in and lasts much longer, when you order the sweeper. It's about $22. Do this and you have a handy, efficient, effective cleaning tool that will last three or four years (or more) for a reasonable price per year. I wish I could tell you about a better option that does what this does at this cost -- but there isn't one. I've looked.

Get your teen to put it together, takes 3 seconds. push the big start button on the thing, (I didn't at first LOL). its awesome, goes under my couch and bed and so much better than a regular broom. I got it as a temp fix until i could afford a romba thing... but this is working so well, i'm putting that off for a long time i think; one of the best purchases I've ever made on Amazon, and I've made a lot!!!! Whole place is 1600 sq ft and is all wood! You will have to move some things with a broom from hard to reach corners but not much and won't need a dust pan to etc to do it, ust move it with a broom (same thing you would have to do with a Roomba) and walla get it up with one move of the Bissell!

I opened my shipping box and I should’ve known right away that something was wrong. This wasn’t in a commercially branded box from Bissell. It was in a brown box staple gun with stamps on it that said this I’m not sure if I received a refurbished item or what they sell refurbished items and used items but that’s not what I chose when I purchased that I thought it was buying a new item. I ran into trouble the first week it said it would last an hour on a battery charge and then I was supposed to charge it between 12 to 16 hours run the battery down and to do that same charge cycle all the time and I’m using the Bissell. Well, after the first hour discharge of the battery I go to charge it and the thing will not operate. It will not take a charge. It won’t lightly spin. It won’t lightly spin like it’s running out of juice no power absolutely no power I double checked it. I did troubleshooting on it, but the troubleshooting is basically did you plug the item into working electrical outlet? Does the red indicator light shine? Everything did but the thing is is that no charge came through to vacuum the floor. I call Amazon numerous times I’ve never been so rudely talk to because they wouldn’t do a return return on a $42 item. I told them I was disabled. I couldn’t get to a car I couldn’t drop the device back to Amazon. It wasn’t gonna happen I couldn’t do it. I’m a retiree non-disability. When I was calling through Amazon, they blocked my phone. I tried calling from two of my devices and it was blocked they told me I had to call Verizon because it wouldn’t connect to Amazon and then when I was explaining us to all the other reps, they all came up at the same item. There’s nothing showing up that we can do for you on your tickets, sir. I talked to One last Supervisor before I gave it one last attempt and she started screaming me at the end. I said if you can’t return it then please give me a courtesy credit. They would not issue a courtesy credit from the rudeness of the staff. They had to put black listed items about me calling in about my return for $42 items. I have my prime membership and I order frequently and my groceries from Amazon and they would not give me any grace when I asked for it. These were all out of out of country call centers with no help from them. The last Supervisor would yell in my ear and I said well if you’re not gonna do any of this, you can return my prime membership to me which was at a discounted price because I am disabled and she told me I couldn’t get a refund or courtesy credit for any of this because I had enjoyment of the items so for one week I had this vacuum cleaner that ran for one hour and then wouldn’t take a charge and I’m being faulted and that I can’t get any refund even from the Amazon prime because I had enjoyment of using it what kind of enjoyment can I get from trying to get a vacuum cleaner to work and it won’t charge?

Brought it in Oct 2025, I used it everyday for about 5 minutes. Now it will not complete a charge. This is my second one, I brought a replacement battery and attempted to replace it, that was a mess trying to put the vacuum back together. The battery life is awful but the vacuum does the job by cleaning cat litter and cat hair on the carpet.

This is an amazing vacuum. I enjoyed it very much. I bought it for the wrong reason, though as in I used it for cool, vacuuming, which it worked for seven months when I’m going at it every single day but if you bought it for like your house and stuff like that, it would definitely be a 10 out of 10 vacuum cleaner because it’s good suction it picked up almost everything I mean, I’ve had pencils. I’ve had paper pens. I’ve had a bunch of hair get into the machine and it cleans it up and even cleans up dirt and dust. I mean it is really reliable and it was worth the price, but I wouldn’t recommend if you’re a custodian to get this for school carpet or school hallway for sure but if you’re buying it for home use or like little areas then I would definitely recommend this

Cons: Doesn't get along wall or edges of rugs (height difference and not enough powerful suction), red light didn't turn green after hrs. of charging (think it just turned off), dust cup was wider than my garbage pail so I had to tip it all to one end to empty. These insignificant cons aside, here are the pros! No cords!! Super light, quiet, easy to put together and maneuver, gets under furniture, nice toe-touch start button, good sized dust cup. Though it doesn't really have "turbo" power, it picked up all the dirt on my hard floors and flatter carpet (don't know how it would fair on pile/shag type). I even threw crushed cornflakes and dry rice on floor to test it out and it sucked it right in without spitting it all over! It also picked up a ton of cat hair I didn't see, which was fabulous!! I hated getting the big clunky, corded vacuum, so I wouldn't clean as often as I should (once a week at least), but with this cordless sweeper I love to pull it out daily and buzz around my apartment, it's that fun to use!! Only takes minutes and my apt. looks clean and cat-hair free! I would 100% recommend this sweeper! Price was right too. LOVE IT!! My original review ended after I said I love it, but now, after 2 wks. of using sweeper, I wanted to add more of what I noticed about it. When fully charged the light just goes out (not green). I have a small apt. and used it every day and charge lasted about 13 days. (you can hear motor start to fade out, then stop). Sweeper also stops if you pull out dirt cup while it's running. I think I was adjusting it and it kinda pulled it out and discovered that. When I go over an area rug straight on it'll get caught on the edge of it and get sucked into the roller sometimes, but backing up over rug worked really good. Hair gets caught in the roller often, so I have to pull it out regularly. It wouldn't be so bad to clean if it was a spring-loaded roller you could pop out (like a toilet paper roll). I've pushed the sweeper forward and ran it close along wall but there isn't enough suction to get the dirt that's there, but my hand vac will get it. When I feel like I need to deep vacuum, I pull out my big one, that has good front and side suction, but I haven't pulled it out since I got this sweeper because I like to use it so much (it's just so easy to grab and go)! I wanted my review to be as thorough as possible and I think I covered it all. Bottom line, I like this sweeper and use it every day! For more money there's probably a more powerful sweeper out there, but for an everyday quick clean, this is great!

This machine has limitations in approaching the corners of walls for cleaning and underneath of furniture.The brush should have been stronger in design and motor more powerful.

Very easy to use on on kitchen floors saves me having to get my vaccum cleaner out
