Romans: An Introduction and Commentary (Volume 6) (Tyndale New Testament Commentaries)

I haven't even finished it yet but wow, I really love this book. It's packed full of knowledge. This is one of those books that makes me want to go read the Bible even more. And that's always a good thing in my opinion. The only complaint I have is the packaging it came in. The box was literally half open when delivered. You could see this book and another I ordered. Not a huge deal in the summer but considering we were in the middle of all the slushy sub-zero windchill mess of winter I didn't appreciate the carrier leaving this...a *paper* product on my doorstep half opened.

Needed for Bible college. This was a good price. Book was in new condition.

Bruce provides an authoritative commentary on Romans that offers interpretive focus at the paragraph level more than at the level of individual verses. This results in a relatively compact treatment that quite satisfactorily illuminates the meaning. It is up to date and confronts textual and contested issues head-on with balance.

F.F. Bruce is one of the finest NT Commentators to ever publish. The Tyndale NT commentary is a great commentary in that it is not too technical and is brief while giving good coverage of the text. Her you have a one two punch that will bless the heart and enrich teaching/preaching.

F.F. Bruce gives helpful insight and background on each chapter in Romans. A classic commentary on Romans. I recommend this commentary.
