Amazon Basics Lawn Edging Coil Border with 10 Stakes, Landscape Garden Edging 8-cm/3-Inch x 12-m/40-Feet, for Lawns Raised Beds Pathways, Brown

Recently purchased this lawn edging coil to go around a tree in our boarder, very sturdy but malleable enough to create a perfect circle, the stakes were very strong and well made, perfect for keeping the coil in the right place and blended in well to the boarder, highly recommended.

As my borders aren’t straight I found it quite easy to install, it arrives coiled up so it naturally followed the shape of my swirly beds, but if you want to use it on a straight edge you’ll need to lay it flat and put some stones on to weigh it down, it’ll flatten quickly if you lay it in the sun. The best thing about this edging is that it’s strong, you can run your strimmer up against it and it doesn’t shred like the cheap stuff. It’s so strong I had to use a little hack saw to cut it to size. The only problem I’ve found is when it’s warm it looks kinda wavy, it loses that solid crisp edge - but warm weather is fleeting in the UK so it’s not a huge problem - it snaps back into shape when it cools down. I noticed some people complained about the lack of pegs but I found I didn’t use that many, I guess it depends how deep you bury it, mines about half way into the soil and that keeps it in place without a lot of pegs. Overall I’m very happy with this edging, unlike the cheaper stuff I foresee this lasting for years.

We used this to edge a very poor grass area we then covered with weed control and gravel. We bought more pegs separately to try and straighten it out. Easy to cut - I just kept scoring it with a stanley knife. Definitely use a rubber mallet and soak the ground well. Been in place 2 months and withstands the lawnmower and strimmer. Very pleased with the finished result - not an expensive solution to fix an eyesore.

Highly recommend this product i have a long narrow bed which i firstly laid cardboard on. After wetting the cardboard i used the edging border in a thin trench and put it in about 10cm. Next came the bark .This brilliant easy to use edging not only looks good but is so easy to use and keeps the bark in place. It said to leave in the sun for 4 hours but i found it workable much sooner. I had to curve it at either end and found it really flexible . Cutting it was really easy , i used a small fretsaw. So i have a new clean bed with just a couple of plants in. couldn't be happier with this product. personally i only needed to use a few of the pegs supplied. I really like the brown colour as it's very discreet. Would highly recommend this product.

The advertised instructions recommend 3 stakes per metre. The product is a little over 12 metres long so I expected it to come with 36 or even 37 stakes. It only came with 10 stakes. The border seems reasonably sturdy but I cannot try it out properly with the proper support as that would need 37 stakes (one at each end plus 3 per metre). So it is not easy to install as it needs extra stakes to install it - I now need to buy the extras and wait for them to arrive. Easy to use? Plastic stakes are not easy to get into stony ground (most of the stones are not visible from the surface).

good value lawn edging - did the job well.

I didn't use the pegs as they're a bit big for where I was putting it but the roll is heavy duty and is plenty strong enough to go between my grass and stone chip path.

It did what it promised it would do. I have tried to tidy the garden this year, as it was looking terrible. So to define the grass from the plants I thought I would use lawn edging. As I have a sandy soil the edges tend to merge into the planting area. This lawn edging is fairly tuff stuff so did the job really well. It also tidied the garden up.

Bonne qualité on est sur du plastique dur. Maniable et facile à poser. Petit bémol c’est le manque de piquet. N’hésitez pas à prévoir des sardines ou du fil de fer épais de 0,5cm.

Very strong product but still easily formed to the shape of my garden. 5” was just perfect. A little pricey but worth it. Would recommend.
