The biggest mouse failure versus CORSAIR®
Purchased a RAZOR® mouse on September 11th, 2022. Squeaking and plastic failed as a thumb button broke off literally when a five-year-old pressed it while sitting on my lap doing what infants do. Never abused, or misused by anyone, in a professional environment in my office. This mouse was completely dead by Thanksgiving Day 2022 not even TWO MONTHS of normal use. For Daily normal, professional, NON-Gaming use for two months and failing this badly, they should be ashamed EPIC FAIL IN QUALITY AND DEVELOPMENT and RAZOR® has now given me 0-3 in one calendar year thus far. CORSAIR® IS MY ENTIRE SYSTEM AND NOW KEYBOARD AND MOUSE AS WELL! ONE PURCHASE HAS LASTED 4 years on PC, 2 Years on the mouse (Thus replacement finally), 2 years on Mechanical Keyboard. If you want quality, you want reliability, and want years out of what you pay for, get CORASIR® products. Tested them all (Razor, Logitec, Corsair... etc....as a developer, and simply put, CORSAIR® is what MONSTER® used to be in power protection and cables, untouchable across the board worth it. Good for DPS, perfect size for large hands, iCUE software a little tricky
So I originally purchased the wired G502 from Logitech back in 2016 and it has been my daily driver ever since. For about 4 years I was happy with it and it performed admirably. However, with the recent release of apex legends and a desk change it has started to bother me due to two issues. Those being the drag of the cable on my new desk and the large size on my hands not sitting properly on the mouse. So with those two issues in mind I started looking for a new mouse. I first settled on the new G502 wireless but discarded it quickly due to the premium price tag of $150 and it still being the same shape/size of the original. So I ran through a couple of other mice but didn't find anything similar to my G502 until I stumbled across this Corsair Ironclaw Wireless. Right now at two days of use in I am loving it. The size and feel of the mice coupled with the freedom that a wireless mouse gives you has been the perfect companion for me. The button placement is perfect for the transition from my old mouse with the only difference being that the sniper button was moved from under my thumb to beside the first pad of my index finger. The three buttons at the back are in perfect reach of my thumb which allows me to continue firing while performing different actions in game such as pinging enemies or using the voice chat. The two buttons on the front left and the two in the middle are in quick reach of my index finder which allows access to my heals and quick dpi changes. As a palm grip with a large hand I can say that the shape of it fits my hand perfectly with a decent thumb rest and a nice tactile texture on the sides for gripping. The ammount of customizability this mouse offers is awesome with its 3 rgb zones and 10 buttons. The rgb allows you to setup pretty much any effect you want and can be used to change colors based on the temperature of your system. The sensor allows you to change in increments of 1 dpi and calibrate your movement based on the surface of your pad. It offers 3 dpi settings per profile along with a 4th sniper setting that can be bound to any of the keys on the mouse itself. The mouse has an indicator on the left side which among other things is used to show which dpi/profile you are on. You can also set it two use 2 different colors for the dpi or sniper modes for each profile you have. Each of the 10 keys can be rebound to perform a myriad of tasks such as button presses, num keys, function keys, macros, script launching, or media options. Each software profile can also be linked to a program so that it changes based on what games/applications you have open. Now for the downsides. First off after receiving my mouse I had a lot of trouble getting my dpi setup and my keys rebound within the iCUE software. The software does a very poor job at explaining how the profiles work and lacks the abilities to change certain keys when running on the hardware profiles. Coming from the Logitech software it was a very confusing experience. My first issue I came across was with the profiles. With corsair and logitech mice you have two different sets of profiles, hardware and software. With logitech you have the option to swap between either set of profiles at any time but with corsair the profiles you are using depends on whether or not you have the iCUE software running. With iCUE running you will be forced to use the software profile, but if it is closed or not installed you will be able to run off of your hardware profiles. The hardware profiles disallows you to change certain buttons such as the profile swap buttons and it restricts certain actions to the software profiles only. You are however able to copy settings between profiles and save profiles as a file to swap between other computers. My other issue is that certain actions are divided up into separate menus. I wanted to bind my two middle buttons to toggle dpi and toggle profile and while the profile toggle is under a section called "profile switching" the dpi toggle is under another section named "remap mouse buttons". Another thing I would enjoy coming from logitech is the accelerated scrolling you get from the free scroll mode on the scroll wheel and the left and right clicks the scroll wheel has which I use to turn up my volume. Lastly to access/change hardware profiles or certain other settings on the mouse you need to plug it directly in which is just a minor annoyance. The cable itself was a little hard to insert on mine and is not fully in until you hear a click, but that may be good thing since the cable on my old logitech wireless g700s would come loose mid game. Battery life is pretty good at around a solid 16 hours with rgb and 24 hours without rgb on the 2.4ghz dongle or up to 50 hours on bluetooth. I mainly use the 2.4ghz option for gaming as the 1ms delay is needed for quick reactions in FPS games. I also have my rgb turned off currently which should last me well over a week of gaming sessions. Overall I love this mouse and would recommend it to anyone looking for a larger mouse with the amount of customization that it offers, the freedom that comes with wireless, and the lower latency that it provides with Corsair’s lightspeed technology.

Lost faith in Corsair
Let me start this off by saying that I have been a Corsair fan, user, supporter for almost 20 years. This goes back to when we bought our first ram sticks for a pc we built in the mid-late 90's. Up until recently I have trusted their products, and I will probably not be giving Corsair any more of my money. I wanted to love this mouse. Infact, I do love this mouse, when it works. I needed a wider mouse due to the way I hold it, as well as wireless. This seemed to have everything I needed. Within 3 weeks the scroll wheel completely fell out of the mouse, and as must people who game or use their computer for more than 30 minutes know, you can't get far without a working scroll wheel. I immediately contacted Corsair to have a replacement sent to me before I send mine back. It took me 3 weeks to finally speak to a competent supervisor that could expedite my request. The reason I was requesting this was because I paid money for the product and expected a working one in my position before I parted ways with something I paid for that was defective. Over the last 5 years I have had almost every Corsair product fail on me and need replaced. So, I finally spoke with a supervisor who got the ball rolling and as a courtesy she also sent me their RGB hard surface mouse pad, which is AMAZING by the way. Well, I've had the replacement for 3 months now, after taking almost 5 weeks to get replaced. 1.5 of these months was spent barely even using the pc, so I would say on the replacement mouse I have about 1.5 months of daily use. Guess what happened? If you guessed that the scroll wheel fell out of place and stopped working AGAIN you would be correct. On top of that, Corsair's iCUE software is ATROCIOUS. I have two mice plugged in. One wireless, one wired. the wired mouse is my m65 RGB that I've had for about 5 years that is starting to wear out on me. (That's not on corsair, 4-5 years of daily use for 8+ hours a day for a mouse is impressive IMO). The m65 has 5 dpi profiles, the ironclaw has 3. While both mice are detected the m65 4th and 5th dpi settings are literally grayed out and inaccessible. On top of that, changing one mouses's DPI changes the others. I can understand what some people may say, "why do you need two mice connected" Well, some games I play I need the wireless due to having joysticks, extra keypads, etc and rearranging my desk. Being able to swap to the wireless mouse on the fly is nice. The m65 is perfect when I'm just doing normal work due to the charging cable of the ironclaw is really heavy and gives too much tension. On top of this dpi issue, the profile swapping buttons on the Ironclaw do not even get recognized by the software. This was an issue with the original Ironclaw I purchased as well. This was something I overlooked because I really only use 3 dpi settings when gaming so one profile is enough. This is just an added issue ontop of the faulty product. I have contact Amazon and I am in the process of sending this back for a refund. I would love this mouse if Corsair's quality assurance reflected how they did things 10 years ago. Corsair if you read this, I am ashamed on your behalf that this is what's happening with your products. I've submitted a new follow up ticket with Corsair just to let them know what's happening. I also have a streamdeck that failed and haven't sent back yet due to personal circumstances. I should probably keep it out of spite, but I'm an honest person. I know this was very long winded for a review. It takes a product being either impressively amazing, or atrociously bad for me to write a review. I don't feel a product performing as expected is worthy of a review because every single one should be that way. TLDR : Be very careful with Corsair products. Their quality assurance is run by people who don't even use their products or understand their expectations. The mouse is amazing when it works but so far I'm 2 out of 2 for having the exact same issues and do not expect replacing the mouse again will resolve this. Purchase Corsair products with extreme caution if you use your products 8+ hours a day.

Fantastic product
The mouse is great. Feels good in my hand, though I needed to get used used the shape since I used a much simpler mouse for a long time. I'm still trying to find a use for every button but the fact it connects to iCUE gives me more possibilities for those buttons, like the autoclicker I set up on one of the buttons. As well as of course setting custom colors for the rgb, rebinding the buttons themselves (I felt I needed to for the DPI buttons, the 2 buttons right behind the scroll wheel work way better than the default forward side buttons in my opinion), and even changing the DPI between the 3 available levels anywhere from 1-18,000 to really hone in on the accuracy of your mouse movement. Also you'll seemingly need to set up the sniper button via iCUE, or at least I had to. If you do go to change any of the buttons be sure to have the mouse plugged in. When I first tried to change the buttons they didn't work because I needed to plug it in first. I will say though, just before writing this review it felt almost like little bubbles were under where I put my fingers on the main mouse buttons (I have used the mouse a lot but not had it for very long, maybe 2 weeks at most), and in trying to get rid of them I caused cosmetic damage to the right mouse button. Ultimately my fault, but it seems like the skin of the main buttons might be going that way soon enough all the same. The mouse clicks are very light, which aids reaction time. It's akin to a SCUF controller with the binary triggers if you've ever used one of them. It's very responsive on the 2.4ghz setting, it's battery life has lasted for probably around 2-3 days without a charge, and doesn't take very long at all to charge. Not to mention the charger is plenty long, and really locks into the mouse when changing so I don't feel like it'll slip out like some modern phone chargers do after a while. All in all, great product for the money, especially if you can get it for a sale.

Bad Dongle.
5 MONTH UPDATE: Changed to ONE STAR. Now the thing has a double-click issue. Started noticing it a few weeks ago where 1/10 click registered twice. Today EVERY CLICK REGISTERS AS A DOUBLE CLICK. I've read some trouble-shooting items from their website...reset the mouse, checked polling rate in settings in iCUE, etc. This mouse is functionally useless. Piece of junk, and I wasted $80. DO NOT BUY. I went with a much cheaper Red Dragon. Can't wait for it to get here tomorrow. Never had issues with those. 3 MONTH UPDATE: It has been three months and I figured it was time for an update. The dongle has completely stopped working. I can connect through USB and keep my iCue settings, but iCue doesn’t detect the mouse when connected through Bluetooth. I feel like I wasted a LOT of money. It no longer functions as a wireless mouse. I think I am just going to get a cheap-o one next time. Lame. ——- Been using the mouse for about five hours. I'm really impressed with the overall ergonomics. Everything fits my hands great..Buttons are all easily accessible with no finger strain or stretching. I actually didn't get this mouse for gaming, though. I do a lot of video editing and typing and needed something with lots of customizable buttons to streamline my workflow. Now that I got it figured out...I'm in LOVE with this mouse. Prior to this mouse I've been using the Logitech Performance MX. It was not great, but I used it until it started getting the double click syndrome. I hated having to basically take my hand off the mouse to use the extra buttons. I kept it out of spite because I spent so much money on it...hated to feel like I cheated myself. This Ironclaw just FITS so much better. Everything is so much more accessible. This is over half the price I paid for the Logitech! The software, on the other hand, sucks! iCUE is ridiculously complicated. I was able to reassign all the buttons I wanted to change and I disabled all the silly lighting effects...set up a default profile that works with what gaming I actually do. It just took WAAAY TOO LONG. Even the $10 gaming mice from China with no English instructions were easier to setup. Who designed this software? Corsair needs to scrap all the "CUE" stuff and start over.

A shame: very comfy mouse, poor software and build quality.
I had a Logitech G502 wired mouse before this. I got this because I wanted to go wireless but Logitech's options were too expensive for my taste; I guess I got what I paid for. Pros- ~More comfortable for my hands. I actually have smaller hands, but I still found this far more comfy for my palm grip. If you use a palm grip or have big hands, this mouse will be comfy. ~Good button placement. It has two thumb buttons, and three index buttons. When I first got the mouse I thought that I'd hate the third button that sits below the middle of your index finger, but I used it all the time in game. Cons- ~Sub-par build quality. This mouse creaks and creaks when I grip it any harder than a feather. ~Connection issues. I tried to use this mouse with my work computer, alternating between the bluetooth mode and the dongle mode. I guess the mouse didn't like that because when I get off work, it would need to be re-paired to the dongle if I had used the bluetooth mode at all that day. And unfortunately, that made me interact with iCUE more. But besides that, the mouse connection on my machine (I stress that this is on my machine; your mileage may vary) has been so inconsistent that I am going back to my Logitech wired mouse because it was very annoying to have to figure out why my mouse was throwing a fit every time I wanted to play a game. Not to mention that mouse disconnects/ intermittence literally lost me a couple games here and there when the mouse would disconnect from/ be forgotten by iCUE and would reconnect with twice the dpi I set, making my view spazz out right in front of the guys shooting at me. iCUE- If there is a God, the person responsible for iCUE has been fired. It is so unintuitive, buggy, and generally unpleasant that shipping it is tantamount to blowing a raspberry in front of every single one of your paying customers. I'm not interested in writing a list of the things that are wrong with it, especially because the only way to truly get a taste of its special flavor of mediocrity and ugliness is to use it. But being that it's iCUE, I beg you, please do not use it. Overall, I would get the wired version of this mouse if iCUE wasn't what it is. If it was cheaper I could get past the creakiness, and being wired the connection issues I had wouldn't be the case. It's a shame, because it's an exceptionally comfy mouse for my use.

The iCue software wrecks this mouse. Its a STRONG AVOID.
This mouse is very comfortable. I use it with the 2.4Ghz dongle, and as long as it's within 6 inches of the mouse, it's flawless. Much further away than that however and you can see a little skipping. I believe this to be the fact that the 2.4GHz wireless band is so congested these days, and has been for a while. The iCue software, while competently laid out, is still fairly complex and sort of flaky. Setting up profiles is something I still have not figured out. Still, it does work very well and is very comfortable. If they work on the software it would be a 5 star review. UPDATE: After a few months, I must declare that this mouse is entirely crippled by its software. The iCue software is a disaster; the engineers behind the software should be ashamed of it. Why do I say this? Well lets see.. and please keep in mind that I am using the latest FIRMWARE and SOFTWARE versions available as of November 2019: (1) Stability. The software itself is a CPU hog that can eat 40 - 60% CPU on a modern 6+ core setup. Even then, it locks and freezes. Even on a brand new Windows install. You cannot turn off its monitoring software, so it polls the entire system constantly that you can neither read readily, or care about at all. Just chomping up CPU cycles for the sake of stressing your cooling solution. (2) Dependence. The mouse itself, while very soundly built, is dependent on the software. If you boot your machine without having the damn mouse *ATTACHED VIA USB* the iCue software will flake out and deem you have no mouse. Even though your mouse and the three main buttons (left click, right click, middle scroll/click) work. Then you open the iCue software to confirm you have no mouse. So you pulg it in and now you have two mice. But one is not connected... what? (3) Ease of use. I still, months later, cannot figure out how to bind ANYTHING to any of the buttons. The Corsair website and the pack in instructions have ZERO help about this. I suppose you are just supposed to figure it out. It is impossible to figure out as you cannot HIGHLIGHT / CLICK a button and then assign a command to it!!! I have a special SNIPER button, apparently, and you can bind an RGB color to it. The problem is that no such button exists. And Lord help you if you try to assign a button, as it just will not work. Because of the software issues, which are numerous and seriously crippling, I can't recommend spending any money on this mess.

Its actually pretty good.
I actually Like this mouse. Coming from a steelseries 600. I did find this mouse a little heavy compare to the steelseries 600. However I guess I can expect that being wireless/BT. But enough of that. Let's talk gaming cause be honest thats why we bought it. The mouse is good and responds great it has a good battery life, it can last me a week on use and that is with me not turning it off after use and with still full responsive movements and now with the ICUE software while it is good it isn't the best but it does its job. The buttons are In great place and feels smooth BUT the third option button is good I just feel that its placed a but odd for my liking. It could just be my type of grip I use.. I do like the the dpi buttons and profile switch aswell. And seem placed very good and easy on the fly switching if needed. PROS: -Battery ( has a good duration span ) -Buttons -Software -Ecronomic -RGBs Now not everything is perfect so with that being said there is some issues that it has. Maybe it's just mine and not yours. The middle button is not very good and seems to have some movement play like if it wasn't tight properly and it does have a harder press then my old steelseries 600 and it is alot heavier but that should be noted being wireless and having a battery. CONS: -Middle mouse button. ( Could just be mine and not yours ) -Heavier ( but then again it does have a battery and wireless connectivity ) -Third Macro button ( now I am not saying this is a con and is bad. I just personally feel awkward with it being so high ) This mouse has replaced my steelseries 600 mouse I used for a while. I use this for Rainbow six Siege and other fps games. So this mouse has earned my rating for competition on a personal level. Quick on the fly response and buttons.

Me encanto

Worth the Purchase, minimal cons.
I absolutely LOVE this mouse. Very happy with how it performs. I would say the only thing that I find a bit difficult is "properly" remapping buttons, as you are required to essentially create a macro for the button to use. It's not terribly difficult, but I think just having the option in the software itself to remap a button like Increasing or Decreasing DPI to a useable mouse button that I can rebind for gaming would be better. I do have rather large hands, but this mouse fits perfectly for me. If you have smaller hands, I would probably recommend a different purchase as this mouse is a bit on the larger side. All in all though, this is a fantastic mouse and I would still highly recommend purchasing it.
