La MerMoisturizing Gel Cream 3.5 Ml / .11 Fl Oz

Was watching a YouTube video and they recommended La Mer. The girl's face looked luminous before they got into the makeup. They put a link in the description and I clicked it which led me to this. I checked sephora and La Mer was like $315. So when I seen this I was sold! I laughed at how small it was but a little really goes a very long way. One dot of the stuff spreads very well.

I ordered this very small sample of La Mer's moisturizing gel cream from Amazon. I had been concerned that it may not be the real thing. Still, about the same time, I had ordered a sun product from La Mer directly and received a sample of the gel cream in that package. Both the jar AND the contents did seem the same as what I got from Amazon.That said, I do like this gel-cream! It makes my face feel silky smooth. It only feels very lightly moisturizing. Though once I walked out into the heat, I found that nice. I think I get plenty of moisture from the natural outdoor "sauna" here in NC this time of year (June).And if you think the price is high for this little gem, do the arithmetic (remember ratios & proportions from, like, 7th grade?) Per ounce, it works out to be about the same price as the full sized jar on the La Mer website. Only slightly LESS. Seriously. And you get a fresh product every so many days (haven't figured out how many yet).With the full sized jar, the smallest size available is 2 ounces! (Isn't that ridiculous?) Not only is that too big for travel (in my mind), but that's a huge amount to be exposed to air and fingers for as long as it takes to use it all. I know you get the spatula with the full size, but using, cleaning, and storing said spatula is way too high maintenance for me. And there is still the air exposure over time.So, I'm still not absolutely certain this is the real deal, but it seems it is. I still can't figure out how it is acquired, since it has not been available for sale by La Mer. So that uncertainty was the reason to knock off a star.Still, I'm thinking about ordering a few more....UPDATE: It's almost a year after I wrote my original review. I continue to feel the same way about this product. Of course, this trial/travel size is so small, I've ordered quite a few since then, all from Amazon. I continue to stay away from La Mer's 2 oz offering of this gel cream, because that is just too big, as I wrote before. I don't use this product every day. I use it on days when my face is irritated, due to treatments I use such as vitamin C, retinols, or glycolics. And it makes my face feel so smooth, more so than on my normal "treatment days." I always keep one in my travel bag.

Quality product

This is a rip-off! This is smaller than a sample. I could not believe it. I understand that it is a promotional size, but for the price, you would think it was sprinkled with gold dust! I know this is expensive cream, but it is not a quality moisturizer. It does nada for my skin. I was so very dissappointed. I do not recommend it at all.

I don’t see the hype for la met products I have seen absolutely no difference in my skin after using them. I will not be investing any further in this brand.This size is TINY I’d say it lasted two weeks I used very small portions per use. This moisture is blah wasn’t moisturizing and left no glow behind. I have oily acne prone skin.

Although this was a small portion size of the La Mer, I was able to see noticeable results after stretching the product out for roughly 3 weeks time. I specifically used it around my eye area (I'm 40 and my under-eye area is my PROBLEM area) and I saw some slight differences in my crows feet and dark wrinkled under-eye areas. It appeared smoother, softer and plumper. I would purchase this product again, but hopefully next time I can find a reasonably priced standard size to use for a couple of months to see if the product is as good as everyone raves about.

I have purchased other products that are very effective and much less expensive. I bought this tiny size to try out after not using LaMer for many years. It is smooth, goes on silkily, but I do not see it as more effective than my other products that form the staple of my routine. That is not to say it isn't right for someone else. It is just I will not be pruchasing this in a larger size. I think I have found other things that work for me.
