Loved the story recomand reading the issue Blake cross over series and the mercenary series they intertwined love story for sure.

With her mind made up and just about ready to set out on the road there was on thing that she hated thinking about leaving behind. Ryan. Deliciously sexy, he was the only man she had wanted, but never acted upon. Now he’s the one thing keeping her on the fence as to whether she should leave or stay.Ryan Hunter has watched Jamie for quite some time now. He knows her habits, her ways, her inner fire…he knows her. He also knows he wants her with a desperation that he has never felt toward any woman before. The heat between Ryan and Jamie is blazing and builds at a delicious and delectable pace. Ryan is 100% alpha and makes no bones about telling Jamie exactly what he wants from her and hot damn, it is wonderfully detailed and beyond super sexy. I admired Jamie and her quest to find out more about herself. She is also a witty and sassy gal, which I loved. She gave Ryan quite a run for his money and the chase was indeed a whole lot of the fun. Together they make a scrumptious pair and totally balance one another out both in the bedroom and out. Hard and soft, stubborn and yielding…they really are a beautifully equalized couple.Thank you, Julie for one hell of a steamy and sexy read! I can’t wait to see what the Stark International Series has in store for us.

In this novella, we meet up with Nikki's best friend Jamie Archer, and Damien's head of security Ryan Hunter. Jamie is a mess. Having slept with most of Los Angeles, she has decided to move back home to Texas and try and get her life back on track before returning to Los Angeles and the acting scene.Jamie helped Nikki plan her wedding and had worked closely with Ryan. Jamie, was of course, attracted to Ryan, but she wasn't sure if he returned her attraction.Needless to say, if Ryan wasn't attracted to her, there would be no story, so yes, there was mutual attraction, and that of course, led straight to the bedroom. Which then led Jamie to run. Halfway to Las Vegas, her car breaks down, and she calls the only person she can think of; Ryan. Her car was a gift from Damien and Nikki, and therefore had a tracking device installed in it, so Ryan had been following Jamie. Stopping over in Las Vegas so Jamie can complete an on air interview of a well established actor, she unexpectedly meets up with a man she would soon forget, and the man who pretty much is the reason why she's running away. Blaine is a huge actor who Jamie had dated. When he was advised to date higher up on the acting food chain, he dropped Jamie, and all of her acting prospects dropped along with it.Ryan keeps telling Jamie he wants her, all of her, but she is scared that at the first sign of something better, she will be left again. Jamie feels that she needs to find herself before she can commit to someone else, especially since she has ruined a few great friendships by sleeping around.This novella could have been expanded to a full length novel because the chase and catch game was really interesting. Plus, if you have previously read the Take Me series, you know a lot about Jamie, but almost nothing about Ryan, and in this novella, you know even more about Jamie, but very little about Ryan.However, I really enjoyed the characters and I hope to see more of them in other books.

I'm sorry J Kenner, i loved your Damien Stark trilogy, and i swooned and swooned while reading those books. But this, this is very disappointing, i loved Jamie in the Stark trilogy, so i was really excited to discover you were writing about her. But i have just finished, and i found that there was no depth, no feeling to the characters of Jamie and Ryan. I really wanted to discover what makes them tick, but i didnt achieve that, and that makes me sad.I really wish you had written something more substantial, and not a novella, if that meant waiting a couple of years to discover the reality of the characters, then so be it.The two stars i have awarded, are for the red hot sex between the two, and you certainly know how to get my blood pumping, the only thing i didnt like about their physical relationship, was the fact that he dominated her. I got the feeling from the stark trilogy that ryan was mysterious, but a softy, not a dom, and that also disappointed me.

It was great to find out how Jamie and Ryan got together there had always been chemistry between them so their attraction was no surprise and when they finally got together there was no way of them denying their love had grown through there friendship and had become all consuming lovely

Loved the stark trilogy so couldn't wait to read another J Kenner book. Jamie was a well rounded character in the previous books and here she gets her own story with the very HOT Ryan Hunter, security chief for Damien Stark. It was a quick read but loved it all the same. Hope that there is more to come from these two.

I loved this book. From the very first chapter - may have helped hat I had read the Stark Trilogy before this - I don't know! It was great catching up with Jamie and well Ryan Hunter is just what she needs - even though Jamie is denying it. This is a small book - but still worth the read.

I had high hopes for this and I was a little disappointed. There wasn't really much of a story. It would have been nice to have got to know Ryan and Jamie a little bit better in a full length book with more of a story line.
