Atlantic 63712035 52-DVD/BLU Ray Disc Tower,Multicolor

Edit: 04/05/12 I bought two more of these and couldn't be happier. I am currently fitting my Wii games on there as well as all of my PSP games (although the PSP games are "smaller" than a standard DVD box in width, but in height it's the same), AND best of all, i'm fitting a ton of my manga on it! All standard Japanese size manga (comic) books as well as, say, Tokyopop ones, fit fantastically on it. Out of my stack of about 40 manga, only one standard sized volume didn't fit, and it was due to the thickness of the book. All my other ones fit fine (some slightly tighter than others, but no shoving/cramming! I love my manga far too much to risk damaging any). Only issue you may run across is that as you're putting the books in with the spine shown outwards, the pages may split at the shelf metal, so you just have to be a bit more careful when sliding your books in there. If it took me 2 seconds to slide a game box in there, it only took around 5-7 seconds (or 10 seconds if i'm having a thicker book) to put a book in there instead. Another thing I noticed is that since these are towers, not a real book shelf, you can actually put one tower in front of the other to conserve space, and just move towers around to get to whichever "shelf" you want. WAY more convenient than double stacking (like front and back stacking) on a single bookshelf! I think i want to buy another 2 more (to bring my total to 5)! Single complaint though. I bought two of these together, and amazon shipped them to me in two separate ginormous boxes (the boxes are big enough to fit a 64" TV -_-;;; ). SEPARATE boxes even though I bought them in one go, AND it's clear that you can fit more than one of these towers in a single box. Hell you can probably fit 4 (though in the spirit of making sure nothing gets scratched or dented, 2-3 with a layer of tissue between each would be perfectly fine). Amazon, please help in not wasting so much cardboard (it should save YOU a little money in packaging too!) Original review: I've been in need of some kinda space-saving organizer for my PS2 vidoegames for a while now. they're taking up precious shelf space that needs to go toward my manga and books lol, so after a lot of deliberating, i ended up picking this up. I SO do not regret it! in fact it's one of my best purchases to date. I got the 52 one, and I'm not sure if PS2 game cases are a little thicker (or perhaps it's just "fuller" filling due to the instruction booklet?) but i had no issues with the cases sliding around. All standard cases fit fine, and i was able to fit some slightly larger DVDs on the bottom couple of spaces (which are a smidgen taller). I also have no issues with it falling over/being unstable or anything of the sort. I don't have a pet tho (i can see how that would affect things). I have it placed in a corner next to my bookshelf, on carpet. it's not touching the wall or the bookshelf, but i think since it's in a corner, it's also out of the way and not easily messed with. I'm pretty anal about how things fit too, and had no trouble with making all my games aligned properly. taking a game out never threatens to topple it, and i never had trouble with taking one game out resulting in several other games around it sliding out or being misaligned. It IS too bad that the slots are a little too wide for blu ray cases. those are just thin enough and short enough that it might be more difficult to keep 'em on the shelf. It's doable, but might upset people who have lower irritation tolerance lol. I'm very tempted to get a 2nd one for any stray DVDs i own!

Here's the thing about this media tower: it works as advertised. It's going to hold your DVDs and blu-rays. In other words, if this storage tower were a paid employee, it would be an employee that does the most bare minimum of their assigned job requirements and nothing more. If that's all you expect, then you won't be disappointed. But if you need a storage tower with more job experience and a graduate degree, then you may want to remove this one from your list of candidates. This tower's main expertise is holding DVD cases. The slats are perfectly designed and spaced for that purpose. Now you can use it to store blu-ray cases as well, but the fit is a little more unstable. Obviously, this is due to blu-ray cases having a much slimmer profile. So yes, they'll technically fit, but you may find that the slightest nudge may knock a few out of their slots. Since I am storing ONLY blu-rays on this thing, I have a few tips and tricks if you're thinking of doing the same: - Place it in a corner, if you can. Or somewhere that won't easily be walked into. I use this tower as a corner-filler that was previous empty and looked odd. - Store blu-ray cases as centrally as you can in each slot. The exact center is the most stable position. The cases won't be 100% secure if bumped into, but they stay put otherwise. Steelbooks and Criterion cases have the best, most secure fit in terms of blu-ray packaging. DVDs are obviously ideal for this tower. The slots do not accommodate blu-ray cases that are encased inside of another case (say THAT five times fast!). Specifically, there are these clear plastic cases (sleeves) that some people get to protect rare or valuable blu-rays from cosmetic damage. They're just a little too thick for the slots on this tower and won't fit. In fact, nothing thicker than a standard, ordinary DVD case will fit into the slots. There is room for exactly ONE oversized (by thickness) item and that's right at the very top. It's a shelf, rather than a slot. Basically this media tower is good enough for my needs. It fits and holds my stuff. I wish they made another version for blu-rays only, but of course that would make it less versatile. Just make sure you don't set your expectations too high and you'll likely find this tower, at the very least, satisfactory especially given the price.

For many months, my HD DVDs, Blu-Ray Discs, and DVDs were piling up in a nice, large heap. I decided that proper storage was in order. I wanted a unique and stylish storage solution for my collection, and that's exactly what I received! I ordered the Atlantic Nestable 52 Tower in Gunmetal in hopes that it would be just adequate; instead, I received a fantastic storage solution! I assumed that the construction would have been flimsy, given the low price point. However, the tower has a strong, sturdy, and almost heavy feel to it. It definitely exceeds my expectations in every way. My collection of movies now rests in a stylish, elegant tower. They are not sitting on a hardwood surface, but rather carpet. This posed no problem for me; the tower still sits in an appropriate way so no cases fall off or shift position. If you have kids that will play near it, I recommend either teaching them it's an off limits area, or not buying it. If you push it, it will easily fall over; but no product can avert that inevitability. My only qualm with the delivery was the box used to ship the item. Amazon shipped in a very large box; you could have fit 4 of these in 1 box. However, given the odd shape, perhaps there were few shipment options available. Needless to say, it was funny to arrive home and find that UPS left this outside my apartment. The foyer has 4 doors, and it looked like the box was taking up all the space! It gave me a good laugh. All in all, great product! The perfect addition to every living space; so perfect, I need to buy another - this one is now full.

This is a very decent product specially for the price, however It does have some problems. Below is a list of pros and cons. + the frame is light and thus very mobile. + it is easy to assemble. + it holds a decent amount of Blu-Reys. + It boasts decently sturdy build relative to its price. - it is not the most stable Blu-Rey rack. - any light brush against it can potentially knock it over. - while easy to assemble it is also extremely easy to accidentally disassemble when moving it around. - while it can hold a good amount of Blu-Rey cases it is also very easy for these cases to slide out of the rack if it is moved slightly. In conclusion I recommend this product for people who want a simple, convenient, and flexible way to store a small collection. However if you’re looking for something glamorous and more stable then you should get a proper shelf.

Stands on its own, holds many DVD boxes

Not much to not be happy with here. Sturdy and durable material, holds video games and dvds comfortablly regardless of type.

I bought this to store my 8 year olds DVD's and Video Games. I was so tired of all of the video game cases and movies laying all around on our entertainment center. I had looked for a long time for something visually appealing to eye, but useful. Most storage racks I had seen in the store where either cheap plastic or big bulky metal. I LOVE THIS UNIT! It is sturdy yet slim and sleek. It fits perfectly next to our entertainment center and is not an eye sore in our living room. My son enjoys having a storage unit that is just for his movies and games. It is easier for him to find what he is looking for and he doesn't seem to mind putting his things back up when he is finished using them. I would highly recommend this unit if you are looking for something that can store many cases without the bulky look.

I bought this tower stand to display my latest DVD and BLURAY discs so they were easy to see and access. The unit was really easy to slip together, works really well, is attractive and very functional. A great purchase.

輸入品なので、少し輸送に時間が掛かりましたが 商品は予想通りの物でした。サイズが大き目ですが、組み立て式なので梱包箱は思ったより小さかったです…(^^; これで、散らかり気味だったブルーレイやゲームソフトが整頓出来るようになり満足してます✨

Very speedy service, well packaged arrived in perfect condition and easy and strong to fit together dvd's look so nice in this tower doesn't take up much room. Just Brilliant.

Me ha servido perfectamente para colocar juegos de mis diferentes consolas. Sin tener que poner algún estante o repisa ya que no tengo espacio para eso. Y tenerlos en torre me da mucha facilidad. Resistencia y materiales son buenos. Lo único, es que veo con facilidad que pueda caer con algún empujoncito involuntario o accidental. Ya que por espacio y portabilidad la base no puede ser muy grande ni pesada.
