Limited seven inch picture disc vinyl pressing. 40th anniversary edition. Originally released on 29th June 1979, 'D.J.' was the second and final single from Lodger in the UK and the follow up to 'Boys Keep Swinging'. The A side of this 'D.J.' picture disc features a previously unreleased single edit of the track from the Lodger (2017 Tony Visconti Mix). The previously unreleased version of 'Boys Keep Swinging' recorded especially for The Kenny Everett Video Show features on the AA side. This take was recorded by Tony Visconti in Soho in London on the 9th April 1979 and features Sean Mayes on keyboards, Tony Visconti on bass, Simon House on violin, Andy Duncan on drums, Brian Robertson (of Thin Lizzy) on guitar and Ricky Hitchcock on guitar. Wonderfully printed and the plastic slip it arrives in is substantial enough to actually keep it safe and I daresay ready for wall hanging and framing if that's your thing. A great addition to any Bowie fan's collection or a great gift for someone younger who collects records but may not have anything of his yet. Great picture disc but very poor packaging
The song is great and the disc looks nice but Amazon needs to stop sending these fragile items in packing mailers.

Questi 45 giri sono acquistati perchè sono pictures musicalmente sono già tutti in mio possesso , in vinile o cd ,per cui non sono novità ma già tanti sono i 45 giri di questa collezione che ho acquistato ,non bella la confezione ,una anonima e squallida copertina di plastica trasparente, ma alcuni hanno belle stampe e i primi sono diventati rarità interessanti ,questi ultimi ,visto l'alto numero di pubblicazioni, hanno perso la loro caratteristica di rarità e novità ma alcuni li acquisterò ancora DAVI BOWIE merita questo riconoscimento , grande artista ma questa è una OVVIETA' . Il mio cuore è sempre molto vicino ai vecchi 45 giri e anche questi nuovi per me hanno un FASCINO PARTICOLARE .
