Oh my God I think my heart just burst! Maelstrom is my absolute FAVORITE M/M series ever, and has had eight designated spots on my Kindle since the day each installment came out. Now I can have it as a full-length book?! When I saw it under Yamila's releases, I thought it would be like fifteen bucks (and would have happily paid twice that!), so grabbing it on sale for four bucks is the STEAL OF A CENTURY. Imagine reading Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Hound of the Baskervilles in installments in the Strand magazine, and then finally being able to buy it as a complete book years later. This is just like that, only much sexier ;DTwo interesting bonuses I noticed right away: The eight installments have been made into eight chapters, with the original cover art for each installment at the beginning of each chapter, so we don't miss out on any of the gorgeous art. Also, checking back through Yamila's books, of which I unashamedly own way too many of, Maelstrom was released before she got her (new?) editor, whom she's been crediting since around the release of the Vampire Slave series. This version's been fully edited by Michelle Henson and for someone grammar-irky like me, the difference is a huge plus.If you already have the series, buy it again, SO worth it to have it combined. If you don't, GRAB IT! Learn how fantasy M/M is supposed to be done!

Buy this!Its so much cheaper then buying the chapters separately 5.99 instead of 20.93! and now I can have the entire story in one book!This is by far my favorite book by this author, I love Maelstrom! He's funny, easy going, sexy and is willing to wait for Demetri to love him! Demetri is stubborn and strong, at first he wants nothing to do with Maelstrom but unfortunately he needs Maelstrom to survive!Then there is Brainbox hes the machine that allows Demetri to understand Maelstrom, and he will do anything to help Demetri live even if he hast to give Demetri some rather steamy dreams of Maelstrom to get him on board with this lighting/fated mate thing!This book is an entertaining, fun read, and the plot is pretty good too!

I enjoyed the world that this series was set in and found it to be interesting. However I did find some dialogues in the book to be confusing as to who was speaking when, especially when the two main characters were talking with brainbox. But other than that issue it was a fulfilling and enjoyable weekend read.

By far, this set is my favorite work by Ms. Abraham. I've lost track of how many times I've reread it. The characters have enough depth to surprise you, without being unnatural. And the plot is strewn with conflicts and complexities from a variety of interacting forces (both subtle and overt), that it surprises you that they can all fit within the story. I wish she had gone into more depth with the mystical process of "synching" with the planet, the origin of the native species (or were they?), and the properties of the beads which were the planet's sole source of value. I also would have enjoyed Demetri's transformation being more drawn out (it seemed somewhat rushed at a key point). However, none of these issues were enough to deter me from giving it a well deserved 5 star rating.

I liked this story at first but it got to a section where they 'talking' rather than 'doing'. I couldn't finish it after a few chapters. The drama it started with seemed to pause for to long. I really like the concept of the story though. Maybe I will try reading it again later?

It's Yaoi novel and there's always a happy ending. The bonding between the characters are really enjoyable. I love the worldview, it's a character too. I'm new to the the joys e-books because I'm an avid analogue book reader of all genre. However, this title makes my transition very easy. Keep up the good work. Yaoi lovers won't be disappointed.

I really loved the romance of this series. At first I was afraid it would have too much of a different scenery for me to really enjoy (I prefer stories take place at school, apartments, parties, cities and town scenes), but I was able to follow it with no problem and the mining theme didn't bother me. The scenes were great. I love the lightning between them. :D

I was surprised with the story, I thought it w as as going to be mostly erotic and lots of sex, but actually had a meaningful plot. I enjoyed reading it till the end. The end cut have been better for my liking. I would have preferred Li Gang to be kicked out his position completely. In all it was an interesting story. I highly recommend it.

This was a thoroughly enjoyable sci-fi with a charismatic rebel leader and his new mate from Earth on a lawless mining planet filled with men. The relationship between the two MCs was wonderful, especially in the way they were drawn together and the way each respected the others strengths.

very good value for teh bundle!it's got a very decent story, a bit stretched out at times, but well worth a read. It has plot, which is more than what some other stories offer online.
