My Liverpool Home: Dyed-in-the-Wool Red

Full disclosure--I'm a big LFC and Dalglish fan. Having said that, I appreciated being able to read the additional info from after his time at Blackburn Rovers. Much of it seems taken from his earlier "Dalglish" bio, but that must be up to the ghostwriter. There are some nice add-ons of stories, and of course, it's nice to get insight on his Rovers and beyond years. I still feel like there's more to this to be told!

The first time I order this book, its because I am a liverpudlian and I love King Kenny. Little that I know, the content is so good, full of the lively events through out Reds Glorious History, and the first person view of it.The story telling ways of king kenny is so easy (even if its very Scottish)to understand, and that's coming from me, an Indonesian.As I read pages after pages, I can, somehow, picture myself being in the KOP,in anfield, even to some extent feel the pain of the horror the families of the 96 victims of hillsborough.It is truly a book of revelation for Reds all over the world!It is now my new found treasure!

Excellent...heartfelt journal of a lifelong devotee of the club and the people of Liverpool.

Kenny Dalglish's autobiography paints a honest and frank portrait of this Liverpool hero. He is both self-effacing and humble about his love for the game, the fans and his time in Liverpool. A great and easy read.

I loved reading this book. The only downside was that his book comes to a disappointing end when he isnt offered the Liverpool job. I was keen to know whether a 2nd edition of his autobiography would be written when he portrays his ectascy in being handed the Liverpool job in Jan 2011 and goes on to win 2 Premier League titles, an FA Cup and the Champions League?Unfortunately this didn't happen in reality.

What can you say about a true legend!. Indoctrinated by my three sons into a compassion for Liverpool Football club it seems inevitable that I could not fail to ignore the significance of Kenny Dalglish as a major part of that club's history. As with other reviewers I found the sincerity of his devotion to Liverpool FC impossible to ignore albeit balanced by his expression of the support the club has given both himself and his family. Maybe the tragedies of Hillsborough and Heysel produced the basis from which mutual devotion is magnified, whatever the answer I for one cannot but admire the man, his values, his honesty in a time when each Saturday we witness degrees of blatant cheating and pursuance of self interest. If I could criticise the book in any way it would be for it's lack of illustrations and that I found it a little lacking in expression towards the end but otherwise a very enjoyable read about one of sports most significant characters. What a man this is a book which celebrates a true gentleman and a liverpool legend who has taken to liverpool as his spiritual home this book delves into not just the man but what liverpool means to him and his family and as to why he still resides in lkiverpool and allways will a must for all LIVERPOOL fans.
