Great model
Has hooks for use with hornby but too light and has plastic bogies but maybe you can buy metal bogies to replace them.

An old favourite
This kit has been around for donkey's years, but is a classic, very useful for bulking out an engine shed line up, or, as I like to do, a 'cut'n'shut' 0-4-0 version! Good kit.

Poor Quality
For a small plastic construction kit I would have thought that at this price it would have been better constructed.None of the plastic pieces were numbered, the instructions were very basic and not always easy to understand (For a beginner). Some of the pieces were detached from the moulding bars and some larger pieces were actually bent out of shape - all due to being sold in a basic plastic bag with no protection for the components.I would certainly not recommend this item - in 60 years of plastic kit making, I have never before come across a kit as poorly made as this.

this is a superb amd a must get!
This is an excellent product by dapol and is perfect for any beginner. I would highly recommend it to any modeller who is looking for a small shunter to build for pure pleasure. It has the potential to be modified to be able to be motorized and even comes with its own BR decals. The only problem is where to get the perfect BR green paint?

Poor quality mouldings
This is the Dapol version of the Airfix kit that older readers will remember from the 1960s. The moulds and tools are more than 50 years old and showing their age.The overall quality of the kit is poor. Most of the larger parts are warped, especially the cab and bonnet sides. The kit is delivered in a plastic bag rather than the traditional Airfix cardboard box and can suffer from damage if not packed properly, but the real issue as that the pale grey plastic used is of poor quality and the moulds need to be cleaned up. There is also a lot of flash on some components, which is difficult to remove on the smaller and more delicate items. The assembly diagram is fairly explicit and parts are easily identified as this is not a complicated model. The old Airfix black plastic ones from the 60s and 70s were far better quality. If you are prepared to put in a lot of time and effort than you can make an acceptable model, but it will take a lot of effort.
