Excellent germination and easy to transplant.

These peat pellets are very convenient for starting seeds. They come compressed and expand when water is added. There is a small hole in the top for poking a couple of seeds into.The annoying thing is that the peat is held together with a fine plastic mesh. This can can cause problems, for example this spring I used this product to start green onions. When I harvest the onions they are wrapped in the plastic mesh.Plastic pollution is a serious problem so it would be desirable if the mesh material was made out of something biodegradable.In the future I will switch to using peat pots instead in an effort to reduce plastic pollution.

Pots are OK but if I pay for 200, I shouldn’t get 189

I decided to try these discs and they are pretty easy and convenient. I planted 100 seeds, not 1 of them sprouted. I replanted the same seeds I used in these discs into little pots with potting soil and seeds are sprouting. I tossed the remaining discs in the garbage.

instead of the peat pellets coming to me 4 different bags of fifty they just gave me one opened bag of 200. but other then that small irritation, they do exactly like they are supposed to add water and they pop up a few mins later. will probably buy again.

I'm a first-time user of jiffy plugs and am really impressed with these. I started seeds last Thursday and have leave popping up already. 'started more seeds yesterday and look forward to a bumper crop. My challenge is that these are so very very easy to use, I have planted way, way too many of everything - so will bless my neighbors. Best discovery ever!!!

These are so great and much easier than using seedling soil! You know how many you need per how many seeds you are planting! I love them.
