I do not use my good Chef’s knife to cut bone any thicker than a chicken rib bone. On a whim, I decided to order this “cleaver”. It is solid, substantial, thick spine, full tang, stainless steel. This came ok sharp. I used my knife sharpening skills to bring the edge to a 20 deg, liquid edge.This got great use on chicken, rib roast chine and Thanksgivings turkey. The edge requires light attention, with a flat diamond sharpening steel. Overall the metal seems around Rockwell 55. This makes it easy to apply a couple of sharpening strokes and on you go.No rust, but I hand wash and dry this cleaver.My only negative is the hatchet like design. It took a few whacks to learn this cleaver’s nuances. With a freezer full of wild game, this is going to see some major use. I expect it will do well.

Used it to cut up some ribs , ir was not to much of a struggle. The axe looking blade is sharp, sturdy and has some weight to it. I definitely recommend this product.

This is best knife I have ever bought! It's insanely sharp and the weight of the knife makes it easy to cut through culinary pumpkins and bones. I have lupus which is attacking my wrists, so I do have to say if you suffer from an illness like carpal tunnel, you should handle this knife with both hands otherwise the weight of the knife is painful. You should also plan on investing in a good wood cutting board because this beast will DESTROY a low quality cutting board.

The video for this product shows a knife embossed/printed with some Chinese characters on the face of the knife, presumably the name of the manufacturer. The same marking also shows in pictures sent by customer "Nala" on 12/1/19. The knife I received today, however, came in a different box that actually looked recycled and the knife did not have any markings on it's face. There's another company that sells what appears to be an almost identical knife except that the picture clearly shows the markings and a stabilizer hole. It's priced at $80 but would be worth it if it is "genuine" and of better quality. I will order this one for comparison and will provide additional feedback later.

Good weight, good sturdiness no chipping on the blade was a little skeptical about the handle (had a little wiggle out of the box) but once I soaked in warm water, the handle tightened up. Went through deer bones with no problem. Very good for the price. Thinking about buying another one actually, I will buy another one. Great product!!!!

I use this knife for cutting chicken and smaller pork bones and it works well.

It is beautiful, sharp and sturdy, easy to clean, very nice
