I've had my Necteck Solar Lights for almost a year. They are very well made, and the sturdy plastic stake makes it easy to place them in the lawn wherever they are needed. (The lights themselves can be removed from the lawn stakes if desired, and have four holes in the light base if one wants to mount them permanently on a fence post, side of the house, or whatever.) The solar batteries seem very capable: ours catch the full (southern USA) morning sun and then fall into the shade of the house around 2:00 or so. Even though they aren't exposed to the sun the entire day, they last all night long and are still going strong at full power when the sun comes up the next morning and shuts them off. The angle of the solar panels and lights can be easily adjusted by a knurled knob. I've set the tension on mine so they stay in place, but can be readjusted as necessary without having to mess with the knob (this is important to me, since I take them up each time I mow the lawn, and reset them after I'm done). I use the two I bought to illuminate an aluminum street number plaque mounted on the bricks by the front door of the house: they make it really stand out so visitors or emergency responders can readily see it at night. In addition, the lights also provide an extra level of security, since anyone approaching the door will be illuminated. They would certainly be useful for other applications as well (e.g., illuminating bushes in a flower bed or at the corners of one's house, without having to go to the trouble to install permanent 115v outdoor lighting). So far I have been totally satisfied with the Nekteck lights, and recommend them to anyone looking for affordable outdoor solar lighting.

These solar landscaping lights are great! The light is adjustable AND the solar panel is as well. They work perfectly to up light trees, a front door, flower beds, and whatever you like. I have bought others in the past but these are the best!

Lights are great except one of the lights won’t turn on

I give very good early marks for this product, which is very suitable for my purposes. The solar panel is very large, so it should do a very good job picking up plenty of solar gain to charge the batteries. The LEDs are also quite large, which translates to a nice floodlight effect. There is a setting for low and medium intensity, which is more than enough for something that will remain lit all night. (Some may think it should be brighter, but you really don't want that in this kind of product, or the battery won't be able to last very long. It should not be confused with something that is very bright and designed to deter trespassers.) The LEDs emit a warm light, which is a nice change from some other products which have a cold light. The detection of dusk and dawn works well. I currently have these on my upper deck, which has no other lights. They are mounted on the house and pointing down, to mimic fixed outdoor lights. I use the low setting by default, which has a nice decorative appearance, but if I was on the deck and wanted more light to entertain, I can just reach up and switch to the higher setting. I have only one minor complaint, which is that the solar panel and light can only be adjusted in a single direction on the same plane, which can, depending on one's circumstances, make it hard to point the LEDs where you want light and also maximize the amount of sunlight you will get on the solar panel. If it had ball-type joints that allowed multiple planes of adjustment, it would be perfect. I have only used the product for a few weeks, so can't yet tell how well it will hold up over time. I will update the review if I have more to say after the product has been outside and weathered a variety of weather conditions for a number of months. So far, though, so good! Update in June 2025: The lights have been outside and activating (on low) in the dark exactly as expected for over four years!

2 years later they still work great. Light up everynight. Didn't expect they would last this long.

I bought a set of these and received several of them as gifts. They work great at first, but after 1 year only about 10-15% of them are still working well. Some don't work at all and others are very dim. One broke at the neck and another broke at the stem.

As the title states I am highly impressed with the quality of light emitted from these spot lights. I've always been hesitant on buying a solar powered light products because I haven't seen any that give the visual effect I am looking for. These blend in well with my current low voltage lighting and were a fraction of the cost to extend my current landscape lights to the areas I wanted to illuminate. The replacement cost is low so if they don't have a long lifespan I'll make a point to reorder new ones. The color of light isn't a bright white LED color that stands out. This has more of a warmer yellow that blends with my other lighting. The actual spotlight didn't have yellow colored lights as the product picture represents as they were actually clear lights but again mine produced the desired color I was wanting. We placed a set of 4 on the outer areas of our landscaping and they performed as described. We charged them for 8 full hours initially and then when it became dark they all illuminated within a couple minutes of each other. I'm not sure how long they lasted through the night but they still were glowing past midnight after turning on around 8:00 pm.

After few months the brightness will drop, but it’s ok

Provide bright light for around my pool! Thinking of buying more.

Ilumina bastante bien un área pequeña. Yo los uso para una maceta grande y se ve muy bien de noche. Solo tengan cuidado de verificar que tipo de luz (blanca o cálida) genera para que decidan de manera informada. ¡Un imperdible para el jardín!

A los dos meses dejaron de funcionar y comenzó a entrar agua.
