Honestly a great quality product when built, but two very annoying things - there is a big and unnecessary sticker on one of the legs, which when peeled off, left all the glue behind. It took several rounds of boiling water and patience to get the majority of it off. Second, I was missing two washers (missing parts seem to be an issue with this product). The legs are very sturdy, even without the second set of washers, so it hasn’t affected it overall. This would have been a 5/5 if it weren’t for these annoyances - a real bargain.

In search for a solution to weights dotted all over the house I was shocked at how expensive simple weight trees were. Being the cheapest well reviewed option I gave this a go. It arrived well packed ready to assemble with detailed instructions. They do include an Allen key but be aware you will also need a 17mm spanner or socket. Once assembled this thing is rock solid and it’s finished with a durable black paint. On to capacity, each pole is 16cm long and designed for standard 1 inch weights not the larger 2 inch Olympic weights. I’ve tried a variety of brands, York, Reebok, Body sculpture and Bodyrip and all fit perfectly. Based on the thickness of the most commonly used brand York, a rough guide to how many weights will fit on each branch is below. • 10 x 0.5 KG • 7 x 1.25 KG • 6 x 2.5 KG • 6 x 5 KG • 4 x 10KG For reference I paid £38 and I feel it’s great value for money and looks good. Looks great, sturdy and easy to assemble.

It is not possible to assemble this with the Allen key provided. The steel nylon locking nuts are very strong, but I needed a spanner to tighten them whilst using an Allen key screwdriver to hold the bolt still. Once assembled properly, it is very study, The pegs are standard plate size, not Olympic size.

Does a solid job for my weight plates I use at home usually holding about 35kg on there between session. Was easy to put together and stupid ideal for keeping a tidy space for home workouts

Good quality product with a very reasonable price

I am very pleased with this rack because when assembled it is very rigid. A few reviews complain about the rack wobbling. I found that the Allen wrench (aka hex wrench or hex key) that is included is not up to the job of tightening this rack properly. Get a good set of long hardened metric Allen wrenches so it will not round out in the bolt, and a socket set or box end set of wrenches. Tighten until the slightest amount of deformation of the steel tubes can be detected. Then it is tight enough. The U brackets will take some extra leverage to totally compress them tight against the center tube. This is why good tools are needed, and a bit of muscle. Also take note that the bottom center "peg" DOES NOT TAKE A WASHER!!!! If a washer is used then the head of the bolt sticks down too far and makes the rack "wobble" (it can be spun like a top, don't ask how I know this. LOL). The bottom tube has an extra large indentation specifically to allow the bolt head to clear the floor. Putting a washer here is probably why many reviewers complained that there was a missing washer. The instructions clearly show that no washer is used at this location. After assembly, place the rack on a hard level surface and it may wobble. At this point, loosen two of the bolts at one end, press down on the rack to level the feet and tighten those bolts again. Bingo! Its level and does not wobble. In the attached photos, the big weights on the lower peg are 12.25" diameter, 25 LBS each. They will fit one above the other on same side, with about 3/8 to 1/2 inch clearance between them. If you have Olympic weights with the 2" hole, I strongly suggest getting the Olympic weight version. Once the rack is loaded with weights, it will be difficult to move. I use a "utlity" room for an exercise room as well as other tings and need to move the weight rack around. So a set of heavy duty casters Online Best Service 4 Pack Caster Wheels Swivel Plate Casters On Black Polyurethane Wheels 880 Lbs (2 inch Plate) were screwed to the bottom and the rack rolls around easily even when loaded, even on a rug. And stability is not affected, even when pulling the loaded rack by the very top point sideways. The rack was further modified by replacing the center bottom peg with a "foot" that came with a missed weld on one side. Cap Barbell sent a replacement part and I used the old part to make a center mounted bar stand using 2" metal plumbing pipe caps and heavy duty stainless clips at the top. That is why the rack looks different from the description photos. Also back when I ordered, white was an option. Its a good rack, and with casters, it is much more manageable. But you will not be happy with the results using a pair of pliers and the included Allen wrench to assemble it. Hope this info saves you aggravation. Happy Lifting!

This is a great stand for us because its fairly compact and is quite sturdy. There is nowhere to put the bars which is a shame but its great for all the additional plates we have and its so much tidier now. No more stacks of loose plates and easy to find the weights we are looking for. Pretty good value.
