Easy home oven pizzeria quality pies
I bought the 16” screens and have only cooked 1 pizza so far, but it was impressive. Having become used to using a 16x16” pizza steel with great results, albeit slow with the 45 minute to 1 hour heat soak before launching the pizza, I began wondering if there wasn’t a little less time consuming way to get a pizzeria quality pizza on busy weeknights.I watched a video by Vito locapelli on making NY style pizza and he did it on one of these screens. Bam! This is the answer. Just roll out the dough lay it on the screen and pull the dough to the outer edge to make it round, rub a little olive oil on the dough then spoon some hand crushed Dinapoli San marzano pizza sauce, some mozzarella, provel and a little feta with sone fresh basil leaves, dried oregano and a sprinkle of sea salt. Throw it in the very lowest rack in the lowest slot over the heating element and cook at 500 or 550 if your oven will do it and cook for around 12 minutes or somewhere around there until it looks the way ya want.The pizza in the pic was made just like this and was absolutely delicious. As delicious as any I have ever eaten actually. The pizza poops right off the screen with a little coaxing with a spatula. The little bit of dough seen in the pic got stuck because I let my dough get too thin in that spot and the sauce soaked through. If you roll your dough out evenly, and don’t get near break through thin spots like this, the screen would be clean as a whistle afterwards.

They work great
I bought these mainly for pizza to add a bit of airflow on a pizza stone but they work great for other things too. They are strong enough to support a 16” pizza picked up from one side without bending. They are expanded metal not punch plate design and that helps strength and reduces food contact to prevent sticking.

Okay quality. Hard to clean.
Update 3/2022: i now measured 1000 in my oven. So i could have hit 1200. Maybe it is all aluminum. It does clean when hit with an aluminum pads. But it is hard to clean as everything gets stuck and ripped by the small diamond holes. Is there a way to make the surfaces smoother?I am retracting my old comments. Hopefully i didn't hurt their sales... Also updated the picture.-----Edit: after a few uses, i haven't had another incident partly because i control better my DIY oven. Increasing my rating. Still believe this is some kind of alloy.-----I have a home made basic brick oven. I have measured 800F once. I doubt it can reach 1221F. Since it can run so hot, I am cooking the pizzas on these stainless steel, which avoids burning the bottom before cooking the top. Only one melted when i pushed it way to the back over the open fire. I avoided that and didn't have a problem eith the others. Most likely, this is not pure aluminum, and that lowered the melting point. I think if you stay under 800F, you should be fine. In the meantime, please post if you know of a better quality set. I still want to cook the pizza over an grill that can withstand high temperature, but not on the stone directly. Tip: you can slide the pizza the last 30 seconds on the stone to get a perfect crust.

Worked great in my Halo Pizza Oven!
I grabbed a pack of these to try to use in my Halo Versa 16 Pizza Oven. The oven itself works great, but sometimes it is a little hard to launch a pizza into the oven. This makes it so simple. I just make the pizza on the screen and slide the 16 inch screen into the oven. The heat from the pizza stone transfers very well to the crust and allows it to cook evenly. The screen itself held up to the intense heat without warping. I might suggest using a nonstick spray (lightly) to the screen because one of the pizzas got a little stuck. The screen also made it very easy to retrieve the pizza from the oven as well. Overall, very happy.

These made such a difference
Having these to put on a pizza rack made all the difference in the world doing our homemade pizzas for the family. We were able to make pizza after pizza and put it on these, put them in the oven and keep them warm until all of them are ready. It helps to keep the crust from getting soggy by giving it a chance for air to flow through. They feel really sturdy. They clean super easily. And they’re thin so they don’t take up a lot of space when storing. Definitely super glad I have these !

Really improved my pizza making experience
The "mesh" plates, ie with holes, gets a nice uniform crunchy crust across the whole pizza without burning. Best of all, you can get the pizza off the plate easily without wrecking your pizza.

Great quality and value game changer for the home pizza cook
The quality of these screens is comparable with commercial. Joy to use. Don’t put in dishwasher (aluminium will tarnish) also no need soak if crust is stuck and they clean up real easy. Perfect even crust. Feels like cheating, I’m getting restaurant quality with this and a dough docker and a toaster oven.I’ve cooked a ton of pizzas and have worked at pizza parlours and popular wood fire pizza restaurants. Now we have a small unni wood fire pizza oven - amazing results (without screen) but there is a catch: As the cook you are chained to the process. You can’t prep pizzas as they stick to counter/peel and the oven can go cold so while adding pellets and waiting for it to come up again a pizza may stick to something. Fine for one or 2 Za’s but awful if there’s a family get together.These screens are game changers and often used in high order kitchens. They allow you to prep the pizzas and due to the mesh design even if the dough sticks it will cook and once the base it hard enough they pop off the screen. So you can batch prepare all the pizzas and cook at your leisure.Added bonus discovery. The 12” size fits in a breville toaster oven so now we are in winter having a pizza night is still happening. I’ve never had pizza so good in a home oven. The base is so evenly cooked to perfection. I cook on middle rack and then remove from screen and cook direct on lower rack for last 2 mins. Perfect every time.I believe this would also improve the quality of cooking a store bought frozen pizzas.

Thinking outside the box
This was exactly what I was after. I now have the 14” and 16” screens and I use them on my Yoder YS640S smoker. This makes it easy to put any sort of food in and take out as well as rotate around as required.The screens are well made and there are no rough edges. Cleaning is not hard. Give them a good rub with soapy water and then hose them off.
