Works well AND comes with Duracell batteries!
I had been looking for just a wireless mouse and stumbled upon this for just about $3 more and jumped on it. The driver that goes in the USB port is a little bigger than what's the latest in the market today, but is still sticks out less than 1", probably more like 3/4". It's not nearly as large as the driver from a couple of years ago that could get easily banged on something if not paying attention. The mouse works well and can be turned on and off to conserve the battery life - I didn't see any place on the keyboard to do the same, but I mostly use my laptop keyboard anyway. The mouse feels just like my wired mouse and is the same size as a standard mouse. The clickwheel works nicely on it, left and right clicks nicely and is smooth. The keyboard, though used on a limited basis, also works nicely. For anyone needing to use Function keys regularly be aware that they are not full sized. I can't remember the last time I used a function key so it doesn't really matter, but if you do need to then you may want to consider another model or company. I like that the keyboard allows me to mute, raise or lower the volume too. Is it top of the line? Probably not. Is is good for the average home computer user who's sick of wires all over the place? Absolutely. I would feel very comfortable recommending this or giving it as a gift esp. since it includes name brand batteries. Great value for the price. Kudos! UPDATE JULY 2012: Still using the batteries that came with this set, though don't use the keyboard much since I use the laptop keyboard. I'd say I've turned the mouse off for about 10% of the time I've owned it so the batteries aren't lasting longer because I'm actively taking steps to conserve the life. It simply doesn't use that much juice to operate. Very, very satisfied and a better buy still as I update this by $4. UPDATE JANUARY 2013: STILL using the original batteries that came with this set with no signs of the battery dying anytime soon. I still don't use the keyboard that much, but use the mouse daily for at least and hour or so. I can't remember the last time I turned the mouse off. It's still more expensive now then when I purchased it, but it clearly does not chew through batteries (good ones like Duracell anyway). Maybe there are models that are a bit less expensive, but if you're replacing batteries frequently then are you really saving any money?

Great Buy!!!
Purchased this set for my laptop. The order arrived very quickly and I got what I was hoping for. A cheap, functional, band name product. The keyboard is fairly simple, not too many frills but works well and has a good range. Ive tested it to about 30 feet. it is also thin and pretty compact would be easy to transport if needed. The buttons do stick a bit but it isn't a problem and I suspect will correct itself with a little wearing in. The mouse is also simple but works smoothly and has its own convenient on-off switch to help avoid wasting battery. It fits well in my hand and has been tested to the same 30 feet with no issue. Nothing fancy but very serviceable. My favorite feature is the USB sensor. It is small roughly thumbnail size and keeps a low profile to the side of the computer making it easy to transport unlike bulkier ones that I've had. Overall I'm thoroughly satisfied and would recommend this set to anyone, especially if you are on a tight budget. DO NOT BE AFRAID TO BUY!!

Good Combo, good price
I write for a living and my notebook's keyboard just does not cut it. I previously had a Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard bought as a set. The receiver for the keyboard failed after about 8 months and the mouse still works, but the buttons occasionally do not work, and when they do, they double-click instead of single click. This is a common problem with Logitch devices, as they use cheap switches even on $80 mice. In comparison, so far, this set is much better. The keyboard is full size, though it has the wasted space between keys removed. Strangely, though there is a frame around the entire keyboard that makes it larger than the Logitech and is probably unnecessary. It seems as tough as some of the better keyboards, unlike the Logitech that felt cheap. The multimedia controls are great, though I wish they had added the skip forward/back buttons. As it stands, it has a calculator button, play/pause, mute, and volume up/down buttons. The mouse is full-sized, and the buttons seem to work well. I do miss the tilt-wheel horizontal scrolling that the Logitech had. Battery life is great so far, I have not changed them yet. The receiver works for both mouse and keyboard, and it is very small, though the part that sticks out is about double the length of the Logitech. I like the Logitech Nano receiver better, because it can stay plugged in, and I have broken a USB port on a previous laptop by hitting a large dongle that was plugged in, causing a short that shut the machine down, but fortunately did not kill it.

Amozing!
This is easily the best keyboard I have ever owned. The keys are very quiet (including the spacebar, which most keyboards have a snapping sound to) as well as the mouse. The mouse has a "stuffed" click sound, which is very gentle and very useful if you have roommates or have a baby napping nearby. The layout was a tiny bit weird at first, mainly because the backspace is touching the 6-key rotation to its right, which took about 1 minute of typing to get used to. The keys themselves are tilted at a certain angle for comfortable typing and have sticker-based letters so they don't fade if you're an avid typer. It's the same sticker-like letters that was on my old keyboard which I have owned for 3 years and not a single letter has faded away on it. It's very good for gamers, as I use the QWER very often for games. Mouse is comfortable to hold and move and the scrolling is natural. It even has a slot at the bottom of the mouse to hold the USB for easy transportation without losing the little fellah. I also like the low-battery indicator on both the keyboard and the mouse. It's very sturdy and has nice grips on the 4 corners at the bottom and when lifted for the higher adjusted it has 2 grips, but just as stable. It's very sleek and polished, which gives it a nice feel-good look when typing. Overall a great product and a great price for it.

The only issue I have so far with the keyboard is that it is rather small for a person with large hands like myself. There is no
Let me first say that I was not expecting too much when ordering a wireless keyboard and mouse combo for under $20. I expected a basic keyboard with a few shortcut keys and adequate but not luxurious key press, and a mouse with a scroll wheel that works decently. I am using this for office work, not gaming. The keyboard lived up to expectations, but the mouse, well not so much. The only issue I have so far with the keyboard is that it is rather small for a person with large hands like myself. There is no spacing between the main set of keys and the group of buttons for insert, delete, home, end, etc or the arrow keys. The ESC key being smaller than normal is the only other annoyance. Other than that, I am fine with the home row and its size, as well as the tact of the keys. I am using this keyboard on a relatively new Windows 8 laptop and have not noticed any missed keystrokes like some have reported. Also, the Microsoft software was easy to load, but needed to be installed and setup before the combo would work. The mouse is a little small (again, large hands), but the main issue is that is didn't want to track on any surface. I tried my fake wood grain desk, a piece of paper, cloth type mouse pad, vinyl mouse pad and anything else I could think of and it would skip or stop working frequently, very frustrating. That is why I am giving this product 3 out of 5 stars. A laser mouse should be able to work on just about any surface that doesn't just absorb light. I have 3 other laser mice and all of them worked without fail on all of the surfaces I tried. Ultimatley I ended up buying a 3m stick-on mouse pad as I have used these for years at work and they work well. Here is the link: http://amzn.com/B0017D5Z40. The mouse works perfectly on this pad and it costs under $8 bringing my total purchase price to around $25 which is still a bargain. Were the keyboard/mouse combo paired with this pad it would get at least 4 stars from me, but on it's own it is just a mediocre product that misses the mark on quality.

Using two of these on the same computer...
This thing works great! I've used it on two different computers and it set up instantly on both machines. The range is very good and it gave me the idea to unplug my tv from my pc and instead use the dual display on my graphic card to extend my computer into my workshop that is adjacent to our living room. I have one of these Microsoft Wireless Desktop 800's in the living room where my pc and 24" ViewSonic monitor are located and one in the workshop along with a 2nd 22" ViewSonic monitor, each keyboard and mouse controlling the same pc. It all works perfectly! I like that it's a compact keyboard yet has all the controls I need for media player, each requiring a single keystroke. Some other inexpensive keyboards require using a FN two-key combination to access the pause and play buttons. I consider this a good bargain from Amazon and give it a solid 5 stars. I have read that each of these sets has a unique wireless code so my theory is you can use as many as you need at the same location. I expect I may purchase more for a couple more desktops.

Quality product
I bought this after being exasperated with the poor performance and quality of a SIIG wireless keyboard/mouse combo. I was quite relieved that this uSoft product fares much better. --I use this with a home theater setup, and have no problem using these from the couch, 10 feet away from the computer. As an example of the quality uSoft built into this set, the batteries supplied were genuine Energizer. EVERY other product I ever bought that came with batteries always used off-brand scrummies, including the remote for my $2400 big screen TV. --Mouse and keyboard work very well. The mouse tracks almost as precisely as a wired unit. --Keyboard is light and handy for couch use. --I highly recommend these for home theater use. For main computer use, this is ok if you don't mind going through a learning curve with the keyboard's non-standard layout, and slushy tactlilty of the keys.

Very precise and well made for the cost.
I thought I was going to get a cheap version of some of Microsoft's better or higher priced products, however I was very surprised and delighted when I received my wireless keyboard and mouse. The keyboard is excellently laid out, and the mouse has a nice feel to it and moves easily. The mouse also gives the the option of turning the power off to save on the battery. The USB interface is very small and hardly detectable, so you do not look like you have a lot of item sticking out of your computer. This is also Windows 7 compatible, so all the features of the keyboard work automatically. I strongly recommend this to anyone in search of an affordable, yet quality keyboard and mouse combo!

Cumplen con lo que ofrecen
Tanto el mouse como el teclado son sencillos, nada vistosos, pero cumplen muy bien con su función, confiables y duraderos, por el precio mas que satisfecho. La entrega fue muy buena

Does not match specifications.
The keyboard and mouse seem to work fine with the exception that it is supposed to have upwards of a 30 foot range. I have found the maximum range to be closer to 10-12 feet.
