Glue+glitter+carpet and small electronics= memories.I love my wife’s family, but I also genuinely love having a laugh at the expense of others. That is why when I heard my niece wanted unicorn slime, among other things, I was ALL for it. This gift turned out to be a gift for me, as I am now her favorite uncle and have not been invited over for dinner, or to stupid events, in months. Oh, and the end product was actually kind of fun to play with.

The appeal is great. But I’d like to start by saying the glue isn’t very great for mixing. After trying to figure out exactly how much activator to put in (added what it initially told us to then added more in slower smaller amounts), but the instructions were very unclear. The glue didn’t turn into slime at all. Luckily we had other slime to use to put all the add-in materials in. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this if you don’t have additional glue/slime to work with.

I was surprised to see this slime kit has a couple of 1-star reviews. Some claim it did not work and the only thing I can think of is that maybe people aren't making the activator prior to adding it to the slime recipe. The kit comes with a small jar of activator powder that requires mixing 1 cup of water with 1 teaspoon of activator -- that must be done first. From there you can follow the instructions and "add 3 tablespoons of activator" to the glue (3 tablespoons of the liquid activator mix). If you add 3 tablespoons of straight activator powder to the glue, it's not going to work. I hope this helps because it's definitely a 5-star kit.My kids had the best time creating their slime. One of them actually said, "Mom, this is the best art project I've ever done!" -- and she's done a lot! She's already decided this is what she's getting for all her friends' upcoming birthdays. The colors, beads, glitter, etc., that you can add into the slime are so pretty and magical. You really can't go wrong with any combination. I have two kiddos, so I divided the slime into two and each child got to bedazzle their own. It was perfect! I was shocked at how much time I had to myself while they played with it (very rare for a stay-at-home parent). They kept finding new ways to play with the slime. They made pretend food with it, they played catch with it, they built little figurines with it, just to name a few. I loved that their imaginations and creativity went wild. My kids have had lots of playdoh to play with in the past, but playdoh never kept their attention like this slime kit. Definitely a great buy and great value. Will be ordering more!!

My 4yo loves slime and unicorns so this was prefect for her. It has been keeping her busy that is for sure. She loves mixing different things in which we haven't done much of before getting this kit. I was skeptical on getting a slime kit but it really does make good slime and a nice change from traditional plain slime. It is just a bonus to be unicorn themed. I plan to get this as a gift for her slime unicorn loving friends since my daughter loves it so much.
