I really like the ticking sound this timer makes and that I can see how much time remains. I have ADHD and issues with anxiety and depression. This time allows me to get started on tasks that would be otherwise very difficult for me and allows me to take break along the way to reduce my level of frustration. This is an upgrade from using an app on my phone because I can see the task time remaining without being tempted by my phone. Even better, no batteries. I think this is a win for anyone with the issues I've described or anyone that feels overwhelmed or wants to add structure and even speed to learning and perfecting a skill or task.

Overall quite happy with this timer. I purchased it to help reign in meal times with my 5 year old who would take ages to finish eating, and to help him brush his teeth long enough. Wasn't to sure how it would go over, but he actually loves using it and reminds me to get the timer if I forget to set it for meal time!PROS:No batteries needed!Loud enough buzzer without being obnoxious.Clear, easy to read and watch red countdown indicator.Magnetic! Has good strong magnetic back so I can stick it to the fridge between uses, and adds a convenienttimer in the kitchen.Has two little feet for a kickstand on the back so easy to pop up wherever you need it.Cons:If you want to set it for a small amount of time, like say 2-5 minutes, you have to turn it past the number you want and back down to make the buzzer work. No big deal, but I thought it was broken when I first tried to use it.Don't really care for the large branding on the front.Is quite a large timer, good for little kids but might not be right for everyone/all applications.Was just what I needed for my uses, have been using it for about a week now without any problems, and so far holding up to the abuses of a 5 year old who is loving playing around with it. Thrilled to not need batteries for yet another thing. Overall, satisfied with my purchase!

I needed a timer to help my son who clearly has no concept of time. As soon as he wakes up, 30 minutes is set so he can get ready to go school. I set a timer on my watch so he doesn’t get the urge to add more time. This works perfectly.No batteries are required so that is a huge plus. The numbers are clear and accuracy is pretty much standard. The ticking is minimal and the alarm at the end isn’t heart attack inducing. It’s a second long and done.The best features IMO, other than no batteries required, is the ability to put it anywhere and still have a clean line of sight. It can be mounted on the wall, it has little legs so you can stand it upright on any surface AND a strong magnets on the back side so it can be placed on the fridge (or any metal surface of your choosing). The magnets are strong enough where you need a good pull to peel it off the metal surface. This comes in handy if you are using it for little ones who might want to grab it.The overall quality is good. My son has dropped it a couple of times on carpet and no damage though I wouldn’t recommend dropping it just for the sake of dropping it.I would recommend this to someone who needs a timer for kids. It’s visible, it’s clear and easy to use. I would rather use this than a kitchen timer as kids are only dreading the ring or beep but have no idea how much time is left. This gives kids a good concept of time.

This is a very nice timer with legs that support it up. The numbers are easily visible and a red field tells you roughly how much time you have left. The timer goes off with an audible bell that is easily heard if you walk away. I think this is an excellent timer especially for someone with diminished vision, as the numbers are easily seen. Also the timer runs on a mechanical action so you don’t need to worry about batteries.The only negative I can think of is that this timer is a little large. It is about the size of a 6 x 6 photo. This might be too much if your kitchen is too small. However it runs excellently.

The timer itself is fine, it seemed to work well for the intended purpose. However, I ended up returning it to Amazon because I did not realize it also had an ringing alarm. I wanted a visual timer for my son to use at nap time at daycare...having an alarm on it defeated the purpose for what I needed it for. I was looking for a silent timer with only visual support...I probably missed that detail in the product description...just know that this model rings very loudly and could be a negative factor if you’re looking for a quiet, visual only, timer.

So helpful for timed tasks for toddlers! Seeing the effect of time counting down makes a difference.I love the options with this item as well - big sturdy magnets hold well to the fridge, little swing out legs are good for the counter, and nail slot is great for hanging on a nail or sturdy thumb tack pin.No batteries to change, bell alarm is loud enough without going odd for very long - all around great tool for home.

Got this for my five year old grandson whom we are homeschooling due to COVID. He loves to set it himself for his breaks and comes right back when the ringer goes off. He can clearly see the passage of time and it is helping him learn the quarter/half hour, etc. I wish the stand legs weren’t a little sturdier but so far, so good.

This is a must for littles and the fact they have magnets on the back is even better. I put it on the side of the fridge and we use it daily, fro reading logs to screen time. It so easy for them to glance across the room to see how much "red time" they have left to play and I like that the timer sound is loud, means no excuses, like " I didn't hear the time go off". No sir, we ALL heard the timer go off

This is a good, solid visual timer. We liked the fact that it is magnetic and has folding legs to allow it to be used on flat surfaces. It is also much larger than most other timers which makes it very easy to see from a distance. Then there's the fact that it doesn't need batteries. These are all positive properties. The one drawback? It ticks and it's too loud for some members of the family. When silence is needed to focus or concentrate, the ticking can be a distraction. This is why we're giving this only 3 stars instead of 5. Perhaps it's a bit harsh but there's a reason why silence is golden. We returned the timer and purchased another, silent, timer.

Bought this with the hopes of it providing a great visual reminder for my students when working at their centers as it's a decent size and reviews for it were pretty good. However, not only are the magnets not staying attached to the timer, thus resulting in it continually falling off the white board in the classroom, the sound quality is very poor, as you can barely hear it, even when right next to it or in close proximity.

It is very useful for me and my child at home doing different task. For me in kitchen while cooking. If i have to cook and for a while go out of chicken room, i put timer which make too loud alarms and help me to know. For my son, allowing him for doing his homeworks, screen time and thing he uses it as setting times for him.Its very big and compatible to use in either in wall, desktop or magnetic wall. We have used it on freeze door for my son to let him eat his food.Sometimes if i forget my 4 year old autistic son goes and set timer by himself. It has help him to do his every thing on time.

I use this for a lot of things. We do a 30 minute clean at the end of the day before dinner. I just set it for 30 minutes, kids know their chores and they have 30 minutes to complete it. I use it as a countdown until snack or lunch, or a show or when we need to go out. Great visual for everyone to know how much longer they have for whatever we are doing.

Not extremely cheap but gives a very good VISUAL and AUDIBLE reminder, as time winds down, to my kids to hurry up 🙄 !You can hear an audible “tik tok” every second plus an alarm 🚨 at full expiry of the timer. If you need a silent alarm while winding down time, this is not for you...... but ideal for me !
