Pretty fast and works great
I had a two chanel Netgear 600(I think that's the number) that wasn't keeping up with all the devices and streeming that comes with teenagers. I plugged in the new router to the modem and called my cable company to tell them I'm changing routers and to allow it to connect to the modem. Easy set-up. I used Netgear Genie on my desktop that is hard wired to the router and I used the Nighthawk app on my cell phone. I understand it was refurbished, but I had to change the admin password in order to access some of the Netgear Genie features. I'm guessing the password wasn't reset when it was refurbished. I followed the instructions that came with router on recovering your password. It wasn't hard, but an extra step. My old desktop is much faster using the internet. It's an older computer, the limit is it's processing speed not the router. Email with ads load almost instantly now and Windows updates are much faster. The three channels allow traffic to be separated. I have the newer devices on the AC 5G. The other stuff on the plain 5G and the old stuff on the 2.4G. Especially on cell phones I've noticed no lag when surfing apps like facebook. Everything else is much faster also, with speeds up to 800mbps. I've had it for a couple days and I am happy so far. I will update if it doesn't continue to do the job. Like it so far.

Excellent signal
I have had several different routers and for the price this one has worked well after the first one was replaced because it kept dropping!House is a two story 2000 sq ft and i get full speed almost everywhere, i did wire it in the center of the home. Also try and disable dhcp on modem so the router can do these functions. The band steering didnt work so well i kept getting message that i had no internet connection so i shut that off since only one pc and printer needed the 2ghz signal!Has worked great ever since so if you buy this i recommend dowloading the netgear app and doNot use band steering!

No complaints, Happy here!
I took a chance, as any refurbished item can be a lemon, so far mine is doing amazing!!I Had an older router, that was having issues with keeping up.Little about my house:I am active PC online gamer, work; Zoom calls, two children who at times run their tablets, or nintendo switch. Plus a husband who runs his phone on WiFi (watching Videos) and the TV think Netflix. PRIOR: Any time I would play, or any of us who do any heavy computer activity, web calls, video chats, etc and someone else logged into the wifi one of us would freeze and be done.NOW: No problems, I can run my online game, and everyone can log into the wifi with no lag or freezing. Not even a small glitch to notice someone else is on. We are so happy about this purchase, no more taking turns or freezing screens!Has great range, we are a 3,000 Sqft, 2 story house. It is located in the office on the top floor middle of the house, and reaches to the pool in the backyard. If you install the nighthawk app you are able to see what devices are connected, and what channels. This router offers 3 channels, to connect to depending on what you are using etc. It also gives you the option to turn off any of the connected device. I am two weeks in, and have had no issues yet. Haven't even had to restart it. I also purchased the extra 4 year insurance plan in case there is any issues. Heck 4 years is a Long warranty, and with how fast technology comes out this may be a dinosaur by then. The image I am Attaching is a speed test connected to the wifi of this router.

Had to reallly "massage" the settings but really happy now.
OK, Arrived quickly and in great condition (refurbished but like new). Set up at first was a breeze. Updated to the newest bios right away. Everything went as it should. The documentation is minimal but the setup AP and default settings seemed to work well at first. The problems didn't start until a couple days later. Connections dropped, slow speeds and internet connection problems made rebooting twice a day the norm. I was about to send it back but decided to TWEAK the settings for my network.I have a complex network with alarm system, cameras, streaming TV, gaming console etc., 46 clients in all. That was the problem. While this router has the "horsepower" to handle all of this the default settings are poorly configured to handle it.First thing that I noticed was the "smart connect" was piling everything onto the 2.4Ghz network. I had 26 clients on that alone. 2.4Ghz can't handle more than about 12 clients because of the shared bandwidth isn't enough. So I turned that off and manually set up each client putting as many as I could divided onto the two 5Ghz radios. That stopped most of the problems.Still had slow jerky performance with the cameras on the network. I turned off the dynamic QOS as it was giving the cameras low priority and my gaming system high priority (good if your a gamer). It doesn't allow you to program the priority (dumb). Turning off that helped some but not enough.Lastly I noticed that MU MIMO was turned off by default no less. Why would I pay the extra for that feature and have it turned off by default in an obscure menu at the very bottom of a list of wireless advanced settings. Not logical. I turned it on and now video is smooth at all cameras. NO dropped connections. Been up now without glitch for almost two weeks.I am happy.SO: 5 stars for quality of product. I deducted a star for the poor default settings and lack of documentation for settings even when I looked on line.I have had over 20 years experience with networking. The 'normal' user would not have been able to figure it out and Netgear is no help.

Well I was hoping
So this just turned into an expensive paper weight, the app on the phone is terrible, always wants you to log in, then when you try it says improper credentials. Close the all, wait 10 mins repeat, it takes a few tries and then you can kind of navigate, and then it does it again, total waste of money
