Game Changer for Home School
Used this during the quarantine for my 5 year old and 2 year old. They enjoyed finding things on our walks and then looking at them under the microscope. It works really well and they liked being able to take screenshots and save the images. Lots of fun, great value for the money.

Cheap price, cheap product, valued appropriately
This is a very cheaply built toy that barely works, but it does work. I found it very difficult to use with the LG G4 phone but was eventually able to get an image that was OK. Once I was able to get a focus lock I could see that the lenses are filthy and I haven't figured out how to clean the phone facing side so images are are pretty bad. Fortunately these things are cheap - value received.

Wow!
Takes a little getting use to manipulating the microscope to align it with the camera (especially if you have a dual camera phone), bring it into focus, and hold it steady. If you are patient, you will be presented with awesome images! A tripod or some kind of mount to stabilize the phone would make life easier on the user. If you don't have one, I recommend looking into getting one.A few hints:1. Take your phone case off. It makes all the difference in the world.2. Remember to use the focusing "slide" to bring image into focus BEFORE trying to zoom in with your phone.3. Use the LED lights on the microscope and turn off camera flash.4. There is also a "UV" LED. Not sure how well it works though. Just looks like a purple colored LED.5. Turn the light on first. The on/off for the light is a little difficult to twist because it is very thin.6. Adjust the light position BEFORE looking at object. The light is hard to move and will move the microscope away from camera lens or even move tripod/mount. It adjusts 3 positions.7. Your image is going to appear as though you are viewing it through a tube. That's because you are. At zero CAMERA zoom, the image will be circular and relative small but still clear and precise. You can take the picture and crop it later. Use your high megapixel settings to achieve best quality and resolution.8. Don't try to zoom past 2x. The image will be grained or pixelated most likely. If your OPTICAL zoom is greater than 2x then go to that point and no further. Digital zoom cuts down on accuracy and can create false images depending on the algorithm used.9. Have fun! Look at whatever you can find.10. 60x zoom is at zero camera zoom and 120x zoom is with camera zoomed 2x.11. KEEP THE LENSES CLEAN AND SCRATCH FREE!12. This is NOT a telephoto lens (not for objects far away)! It is a macro (close-up) lens with a very (very, very) short focal length. And by short focal length, I mean pretty much against the lens. There is a guard on the end, that should be against the object or the slide containing the object in order to focus.Absolutely recommend this product.

Science Teacher approved!
I am a biology major and have been teaching middle school science for 26 years. I saw an add for a Microscope magnifier for an iPhone and thought I would check it out. I saw some great review and some terrible reviews, including for this one. I bought three styles and two arrived today. This works great. If you have never used a microscope before it might be a bit of a struggle at first to focus in the image, but this one was fairly easy to use. It is much more compact, so not as awkward to use use as the other style, but does not magnify as much as the other. That being said, I will be buying more of these and letting my students tell me their opinion. I have collected several old iPhones for students to use in classroom labs. The photo attached was taken with an old iPhone 4 (with a cracked screen, but no damage to the camera area). This is a close up of Lincoln on the back of a 2013 $5 bill using this magnifier. I definitely recommend this at this price.

"Universal" but for Specific Model Phones
I purchased this microscope with hopes of easing trichome analysis, but unfortunately I wasn't able to accomplish this due to the obstruction detection feature on the iPhone 13 Pro. Essentially, the iPhone detected the clip-on microscope as an obstruction and would switch to one of the other lenses.Giving the seller a fair shake, overall the clip-on design is solid and securely attaches to the phone allowing for easy focus adjustment without risking accidentally moving the lens. Of the few photos I managed to capture before my phone switched lenses, the magnification quality was exactly what I needed. If you're looking for an easy way to analyze trichomes for ripeness and have a smartphone that does NOT have an obstruction detection feature, then this microscope will be perfect for you!Ultimately, I returned the microscope as I believe this mistake was my misreading of the word "Universal". Future buyers should take note that although the product title states "Universal", it continues with specific model phones as these models lack the obstruction detection feature.

Difficult to work with.
I tried to use this product to look at coins. It was difficult to use because I couldn't get the right angle.

Skip over this one-
As the price would suggest it's worth every penny. Nothing special only get two stars because at a certain point it actually does magnify though not as clear and crisp as desired. Clipping mechanism is awkward LED lighting mechanism on the side is awkward. Had to get so close to get good looks that I got resins smeared on the lens, but the good news is my trichomes are cloudy and I harvest this weekend 👍🏻

Not useful
Could not understand the purpose of the product. The lens focus cylinder is so flimsy it has to be moved up and down and the clip on the phone slips and is displaced. Object has to be very close. The use of the product is not properly explained in the description. I didn't find it useful. Could not serve the purpose I bought it for.
