Works well
I really like this salt chlorinator. I wasn't too difficult to install as long as you can handle the basic plumbing.

EASY conversion from CircuPool (or Hayward/Pentair???) with no plumbing
I have been using a CircuPool RJ35 since I converted from their original Classic series. Before that I used GoldLine and Aquarite (I think both of those brands have been purchased and are sold by perhaps Hayward or Pentair). After too many problems with CircuPool and not wanting to spend HUGE sums of money for a replacement I purchased this Pureline PL-7700. The unit is designed for pools up to 40,000 gallons. Mine is 8500. I oversize the unit and run it at 50% in Florida, and the cells last for 5-6 years. I've been successfully doing this for 25 years. The cell and Flow switch were identical substitutions for the RJ-35. I think these may be the most common devices on the market. The control panel was very simple. Mine is a 240v application, which is how the product ships. If yours is 120v then you have to move one jumper and install a second, but literally the entire project is very simple and easy to accomplish if you're converting from one of these systems. I would have given this 5 stars if the instructions were better AND it had a better warranty (at only 1 year it is not very good; for marketing purposes alone it should be doubled for the cell and the panel should have a 5 year warranty). Since my pool was already set up chemistry wise and plumbed for the previous unit, this was a two hour job. Had I only had a cheap timer but basic knowledge of how to use a hammer drill and basic tools, as well as the ability to cut and strip a wire (the unit does NOT come with a wire to connect it to the timer), this would take a few more hours because of the need to cut and glue the appropriate 1.5 or 2 inch PVC pipes to install the cell and flow switch. If you have ever installed a faucet or replaced a sink or toilet valve in your house and done the most basic wiring this is not too challenging a project. I purchased this on Amazon but the supplier is INYO Pools. It was delivered for about $700 due to a Prime day sale, which is considerably less than the cost on their website (note that it's less than half the retail cost of a CircuPool RJ-35). Their website, BTW, is an excellent resource for installation and maintenance information for this product, although you may have to spend a bit of time to find the info you're looking for.

Warranty
Four months into use of product with regular cleaning, drops dead. Trying make contact for warranty and running into AI . In the meantime, the pool water turns green and i spend more money on chemicals as well as my time. Not good

Works perfect
I needed to replace my existing salt system. I have had the major manufacturer for many many years- and was happy with them but couldn’t resist the cost savings of this unit. The generator cell was a drop in replacement, the control panel was a little smaller- but had identical components inside- except this one had a muffin style cooling fan. It really appears as if this unit was made by the other manufacturer maybe under a private labeling agreement. The salt reading (first number to display) took a day to normalize- but it started generating right away. For some reason this unit has a wider operating range than my original equipment. Don’t know if this is unique or if the original manufacturer also increased their operating range. If you are hesitant to buy this lower cost alternative- don’t be.
