Vancouver Island Travel Reference Map 1:270K Map – August 20, 2016

Just bought this to help with planning our upcoming trip to Vancouver Island. Not sure what kind of GPS we'll have in our rental car, so figured a road map will come in handy. It shows the big highways clearly enough, but the print is so tiny, you can't read the names on the secondary highways, and some roads are not labeled at all. I decided to go ahead and order some free maps from AAA as a backup.

Good map; we used it a lot during our trip. Lots of detail, including sights to see, without cluttering things up too much. The inset map of downtown Victoria was quite useful. The map loses one star because at the end of a week of admittedly heavy use it began to show small tears along some of the seams. But I'd buy it again. (The distances are in kilometers.)

It's a good map, served its purpose well.
