I have an HP Envy laptop that is only three years old and the battery would not charge or hold a charge so I was looking for a replacement. Locally they were $100 which I was not going to pay as I am not crazy about the laptop. I found this replacement battery on Amazon and it is the perfect replacement for mine. It arrived in two days, was charged, and all I had to do was pop it into the laptop. It is working perfectly and I have since charged it and it is working just like it should. I am very happy with it and the price I paid.

The battery fit my HP Envy just fine. But longevity is awful! After 6 weeks it won’t hold a charge. (I do not leave it plugged in and it is not exposed to heat, both of which shorten battery life.) fortunately Amazon is overriding the 30 day return window and a replacement is on order at no charge.

I am no tech geek and buying online is a difficult choice, when it comes to tech stuff. Received the battery, charged it. It attached very easy to the laptop. Works well. Excellent price.

It couldn’t be any easier to replace your laptop battery than this. It literally took less than eleven seconds to figure out how to unlock my old battery and ease the new one into place. I followed instructions and let the newly installed battery charge overnight, and now I get a full eight hours of use before needing to plug my laptop into power. I am ordering a second one so I have ample power when traveling to remote locations. I am very happy with my purchase.

I ordered and received this replacement battery for my HP Envy 17 in early September 2019. As of the time of this post it has been 4 months ± a couple of days since I have owned it. Although visibly similar, it had a fit issue, so to install it I had to force it in a bit. The unlock button on the back of the laptop also worked harder than usual, so some unnatural force was needed to eject the battery: never a good idea with electronics. Since I assumed this to be a rare exercise I let it be. Now, less than 4 months since first installing it the battery charge is stuck at 4% capacity and will not charge further, despite having been plugged for 45 min. I put in the old, original OEM battery and it started charging as expected, despite it's reduced capacity and being 4 years old. I expected this to last a couple of years. I am looking forward to the seller to offer compensation and am ready to return the battery.

Bought this battery thinking my battery in the computer bit the dust but when I installed this battery, the life of the computer was not much better. It was good for a couple months then it started acting just like the battery I replaced. I would rather just keep my computer plugged into a charger than to purchase another battery. I might try another supplier to see if it's the supplier or actually the way the battery is supposed to act.
