I returned this monocular. On the website and the unit itself it said 40x60 meaning 40 x magnification and 60 objective lens. I looked out my 10x binoculars and compared it to the unit and this unit actually was a little less so it is 8x or 10x at the most. I measured the objective lens and it is 40mm NOT 60mm. The part number on the box was 1040 so I tend to think that the part number reflects the actual specifications of the monocular. I am very disappointed. The unit itself seemed pretty good with the exception of the specifications being totally wrong. It was lightweight and the compass seemed accurate. It was also an easy focus. I didn't test the waterproof aspect so can't rate that feature.

Wow how nice. I bought this telescope for my wife, but I also use it. It is an affordable high quality monocular telescope and I must say that I am very impressed. We use it when we have family trips and we can capture very nice images. We always keep it in the car daily. You never know when something worth viewing will pop up.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  Item is great, can see things very clearly on a far distance. And the weight is light enough to carry in the pocket. The whole body seems very solid and not easy to break down. Will recommend.

I returned this item the very same day I received it. I remember reading a review from someone who bought this product before I decided to buy it and that reviewer said the zoom power is incorrect. I decided to buy it anyway since I've been having good luck buying products and it turning out to be great. Not this one though. The 40x60 power is absolutely false. I have a less powerful monocular and I can see better and further with it compared to this one. I just don't get it. I followed all the instructions on how to work it and I'm not happy. Please save yourself from having to run one more errand with returning this product. Just don't buy it.

Works well for short range magnification. Works well enough for spotting holes in targets at 100 yards. Compass also appears to be accurate. Comes with tripod, lens caps, a phone adapter. Haven’t tried the adapter.

I ordered the 12x50 monocular and compared what I received with my Nikon 9x25 and Tasco 7x35 binoculars and Gosky 8-24x50 zoom monocular. The objective lens measures 40 mm, not 50 mm. And the magnification is somewhere between the Tasco's and Nikon's. So I'd estimate this unit to be about 8x40, not 12x50. The label on the unit says it's 40x60, which is way, way off. The box says the model # is KL1040, which might mean it was supposed to be 10x40, but even that's a bit off.The box for the monocular was not glued properly and was bulging when it arrived. Also included were a nice canvas case, objective lens cover that is attached to the monocular, separate eyepiece cover, wrist strap that attaches to the tripod slot, cleaning cloth, mini tripod, cell phone holder that attaches to the eyepiece, and instructions that seem to be for a different unit (see photo). The cell phone holder can accommodate phones that are up to 2 3/4" wide. Since the rubber around the eyepiece is somewhat loose, attaching the cell phone holder to the eyepiece doesn't seem at all stable.The monocular is relatively light and fits comfortably in my hand. The focus knob moves smoothly and works well. The image through the unit seems clear and not distorted. If you're looking for an 8x40 monocular, $15 is a good price. But I was looking for a 12x and had to return it, but didn't get a full refund (lost 75 cents).

The scope is ok but the arrived package has been opened and it's very messy. There's coffee stains and dust everywhere. It is a little disgusting and I will have to return it.

The tripod is junk but other than that it works really well. If you hook your phone up to it you can zoom in twice as far making a very clear image.
