It's a boombox....but you CAN achieve Hi-Fi
BELOW IS MY FIRST REVIEW....: The operative words for this system are not HiFi..it's a boombox. Boom meaning sound is bass and space, but highs and crispness are found on other systems. As a boombox, it is EVERYTHING it's written up to be, in ads and reviews. The 700 watts are clearly apparent, once you start cranking the volume, and notice the sound gets louder and more powerful, without cracking up and distorting. The speakers are good for 240 watts, so it's not like you're gonna fry em. The little tweeter seems more like a design accessory...I actually had to turn the flashlight on to look for it, but it's there, on both speakers. The sub appears to be the same large general purpose speaker on the left and right, without a tweeter Also, in it's defense, this box is excellent for the popular lo-fi internet radio; even on a real hi fi component system, the output and recorded engineering of today's lo fi ambient, house, and trance sound disappointing on a real hi fi, but sound excellent on this appliance. I hesitate to buy different speakers for the main unit, due to manufacturer warnings and the fact that's actually 240 watts pouring thru L/R channels @ 3ohms. I can leave well enough alone, since this box actually exceeds my needs. But just keep in mind, and heed the reviews: with all it's hype about power and volume, it's a boombox...but it's one of the better made boomboxes OOKEE DOKEE...I HOPE YOU'RE STILL READING.. I finally got around to doing what I should've done before popping off. I put some decent EQ behind my music. I left my android phone, and plugged into my desktop, running win10. I first started off with winamp , and the net radio, and the apps EQ...decent.. Then I dug up windows media player out the file attic, dusted it off, and headed str8 for the songs that let me know what Hi-Fi should sound like. The highs are there, coaxed out with DFX EQ and media player settings..in fact, it's fair to say: the "muddy" ratings given by other reviews is due to an honest flat response..the LG app EQ does kinda sound like varying degrees of murkiness, but the sound stays true with volume, and all instruments are represented...with my cheap PC running ol skool media player and outdated DFX audio enhancement, the leash on these speakers was given quite the length of leeway, allowing me to hear exactly what I paid for: full robust volume, a substantial bottom, and those highs, those glorious highs, not cracking, no static at all... THIS THING DESERVES ALL FIVE STARS..

Very Good and very loud and (did i mention) very very very LOUD!!!!!
This is a MONSTER, at 700 watts, it blows everything else I've seen on here out the water. Lemme just say; this is 700. That's how much its pulling in as a unit; But the left and right subwoofer carries a wattage of 230 respectively, while the front subwoofer carries 240 watts. So when you add it up it comes to a astounding 700 watts just to clarify!!!! The sound is real clear and booming. The sound quality is great for the price paid. There are over 10+ EQ modes for added listening pleasure. Not much difference between them tho. So sad.... This LG CM4590 is THE VERY BEST STEREO I'VE GOTTEN SO FAR. I'm not hyping anything either when I say something is good. There's a good reason for my bold statement. Volume at 15 and its enough to wake up zombies from the dead: never really tried it.... I should tho🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Went past 25... this is real LOUD, IT VIBRATED MY ROOM AND MY WINDOW. don't tempt the ppl who got Car stereos.... haha!!! Overall a great stereo for a great price.

Sheer raw power
For 170 bucks, this speaker system is fantastic. At only 15 volume, the sound fills my room and travels well into most of the rest of the house. I only bump it up to 17 when I really want to rock out. The USB transfer function is pretty cool, even though my music collection has been all mp3 for many years now. I also liked that it comes with both an aux port as well as Bluetooth, since I use an mp3 player most of the time with an aux cord, and it seems like too many things nowadays are coming with only Bluetooth. My only complaint is that, while you can plug in an mp3 player through a USB and access those songs straight through the speaker hub itself, there isn't really an easy way of searching through the songs. Pretty much the only way to do it is to start from the first song and let it ride through your whole collection (maybe not any trouble if you only have a few dozen songs on your mp3 player, but mine has a few thousand). Of course, the easy work-around is just to use an aux cord to play instead. All in all, a great value speaker for how low cost it is.

Great sound and easy to use
Pros - The price, great deal for this all-in-one CD 2.1 Stereo component with Bluetooth - Fits like a globe in IKEA/ Walmart box organizers - Bass is good and it can be great if you're into that - I use the RCA outputs from the TV and 3.5 jack for media player, no issues -The sound Signature is definitely warm so you'll need to find and audio preset to bring out the mids (standard) - Black and red .. Go Falcons!! Cons - The Bluetooth connects easily, but cannot be locked, so if in range others can connect or interrupt - There is no custom EQ, only presets. Bang But is balanced for music , Football OK for News and Sports and Standard is my preferred for movies and gaming - It does not support Lossless files directly from USB, but the AUX inputs work great for PC or DAP.

Works as intended, with one minor issue
I originally bought this for our living room TV because we don't have anything special for surround sound or anything close. We were hosting a wrestling pay-per-view watch party, and I ordered this for that reason. Got it the day of the show. Went to hook it up (using the red/white ports on the back for aux), and I get absolutely nothing from it. I even bought a new audio cable (red/white) here on Amazon to go with it, but I get no sound at all. We switched to the front aux port (3.5mm jack) with a regular aux cord, and that works but the sound wasn't as great. Other than this small issue, everything else on it works great. Sound is awesome, Bluetooth works with no issues (I can even sit on our front porch with this in the living room and still have a great connection), and the subwoofer that comes with it works just as intended.

Fantastic sound for the price!
I bought this stereo for my workshop. Other stereos were unable to fill the space with adequate volume and clarity. This sound system does exactly that. Not only does it have the volume, it has more than enough for my needs with good sound quality. The bass on this sound system is impressive. For the price it is a really good sound system. My only complaint is that it does not automatically connect bluetooth to a familiar device, but needs to be connected manually each time. This is not a big enough issue to reduce the five start rating, since the sound is so good.

I am loving it! Awesome sound! Well Exceeds my Expectations!
This stereo exceeds my expectations! Dynamite comes in small packages! This little stereo system puts out the sound with a punch! Even without the bass boost on, the punch of the bass is so loud! I love the Equalizers! I purchased this for my home workout room and it is exceeding my expectations! This little stereo is capable of filling my whole entire home with excellent sound! The sound quality is amazing! This is exactly what I needed to spark some joy in my life! It is user-friendly! The Bluetooth is easy to pair! I can now enjoy my CD collection! I appreciate being able to easily adjust the equalizer for the type of music that I am listening to. I love, love, love this stereo system! I could not be happier with this purchase! I am so thankful I purchased this stereo system!

A great sounding stereo system at a very low price.
Bought it for $199 on the recommendation of my partner who has the same brand system. Sounds great, and at 700 watts who could ask for more? Hooked my Apple and Amazon Music through easily connected bluetooth and it sounds great. FM reception is great only if you use the internet radio stations via bluetooth. I suppose I could spend three times more for a Yamaha stereo receiver/amplifier and dedicated three way speakers but why should I spend the extra cash? The only drawback is that it plays a single CD and it does not have a CD carousel but I can live with that. Anyway, I have my CDs on Itunes. You do need two small separate side tables for the three speakers and the separate control console, but I got two from Amazon for 30 bucks to spread the stereo sound throughout my living room. Seriously thinking about buying another for my family room as this one is in my living room. At $199, I know that I can swing this buy again. Also, spend the extra ten bucks for a roll of speaker wires if you want to expand the spread of the stereo sound.
