STAR WARSMicro Machines Tie Bomber

I was fascinated by the Tie Bomber when I saw it in the movies for the first time. This item is a great representation of that. It brought me back to that moment easily. For what it is, a nicely crafted toy with miniature figures and some interesting features , they deserve a 5 star rating in my book. I recommend it for anyone's collection.

The Tie Bomber was featured in the movie, "The Empire Strikes Back." This Micro-Machine Tie Bomber, though smaller (roughly 5"), is fairly detailed, w/ a sliding door over the cockpit, and an opening door under missle section (to load the green spring-loaded missle). It comes with two figures. One is a pilot, that fits into to the cockpit, the other, an officer. Both can also fit into the front of the stand. The bomber is nothing to assemble (other than the stand). Micro Machines are great gift ideas for Star Wars fans, and fairly inexpensive.

Has opening to show engine and the bomb-bay opens to load a missile that can be fired out of the front port of the bay. A nice addition to my growing Action Fleet ships.

With Star Wars Action Fleet, MicroMachines produced one of the best line of toys/models that I have ever seen. These were made with a great balance between fidelity and durability. Yes, these were toys, but they were great models as well.The Tie Bomber is 3" tall, 4" long and 4" wide from solar panel to solar panel. The hatch slide back at the top, and so does the compartment between the pilot cabin and the bomb bay. Pulling a trigger at the bottom fires a proton torpedo and the bomb bay pulls down for reloading. It also comes with a stand for display.Over all, it is an awesome model for the avid collector and a great toy for the young at heart.
