I've owned many capos. They were all OK to one degree or another. I've known about this one for years but didn't want to spend the extra money for it. It is worth the price. It looks great, is easy to use and doesn't pull your strings out of tune.

Ok, maybe not THAT great, but this is one darn good capo! The size is prefect. It doesn't get in the way while playing even right up next to it. Plus, I can slip it in my jean pocket when not in use. I like not having an intergalactic receiver hanging off my headstock. Easy to put on. Yes it takes two hands, but since I have two its not a problem for me. Unless your action is way off, there is no retuning needed when putting it on then taking it off. That is a huge win for me! Removal is a quick one button release. I have a Breedlove Masterclass acoustic and it fits the neck contours both front and back perfectly. I could feel the build quality right out of the package. I am sure you have bought lesser quality gear for more money. If you have made it this far in this review, all I can add is JUST GET THIS ONE. You will not be disappointed.

I really hesitated to spend the $ on this. I do think it's over-priced. That said, I'd buy it again. Easy to use one-handed, goes on, squeeze to shut. Also one-handed removal, just press the release, slides right off. But does it work well? Yees! My guitars stay in tune, even from different capo positions. Pop it on and play. No re-tuning or fine tuning. Holds strings perfectly every time! No back and forth jiggling for that pesky B string. A good, solid clamp first time, every time. So it's worth the $$$. This capo fits all of my guitar necks (about eight different sizes and styles). Also electric, acoustic, banjo, even my 4 string cigar box. Love it!

This is my review of the G7th Performance 3 Capo with ART (Steel String Satin Black). I've owned a variety of capos. The first one of these I picked up while traveling, and I was a little hesitant because it was expensive compared to others I've owned. That being said I fell in love with it's quick release mechanism and unobstructed design. I frequently use a capo, often in different positions, and this capo is so easy to move and has excellent pressure on the strings. What I like even more is how compact it is, with no arms/levers. I've owned several of these now, and the one negative experience I had was one that started locking up on me (the quick-release mechanism wouldn't release for some reason). I didn't realize this at first, but the capo can be pulled apart at the hinge into two separate pieces. I managed to get the capo to release, pulled it apart and reseated it, and it went back to functioning as normal.

The G7th Performance 3 6 string capo is absolutely the best capo I have ever used! The ART technology automatically applies the perfect amount of pressure to the strings while preventing string buzz at the same time. One handed operation was a key selling point for me!

I have been playing guitar professionally on and off for over 40 years. I have owned many, many capos, from old ones with a small bungee holding, basically, a stick, to the “one Handed” ones, to the screw vice type. I have never thought much about the capo being important enough to spend much money on, until I got this one. The ease of use alone is worth the money, but the way if works without changing the tuning, almost at all, is amazing. Using a very good strobe tuner, I found that the 6th string would be about two “ticks” on the calibration sharp, while all others were one or less. This was not enough for me to tell that it was not perfect. Putting my old (pretty good) capo on the 5th fret and playing a chord, and then using the G7th Performance 3 ART on the same fret, the difference was striking, very noticeable. I have been playing out of tune any time I used a capo all my life, apparently. This one is pretty small, and fits very well on my Telecaster, but if you take care when putting it on, it also works well with my Takamine acoustic/electric. Granted, this is a 5/6 scale guitar, and I have not tried this on any others, I am really hoping it fits on my Ovation. I doubt seriously that it will fit at all on my 12 string, but I don’t play that one very much anyway. So, in conclusion: Best capo I have ever tried. I am very pleased with the purchase, and will be using only G7th ART in the future. I HIGHLY recommend this produce, even to the casual player, this well worth the investment.

I have always used the Kyser capo's for all my guitars. I recently purchased a Godin A6 Ultra, which uses 10 gauge acoustic strings, and the Kyser capo's, not matter where in between frets it was or how it was positioned, would make the guitar go out of tune. It would go out of tune so bad the guitar wasn't playable with the Kyser capo on. I did a lot of research and tweaking to my Godin, but nothing was helping. I could have used thicker strings, which I tried, but the Godin didn't like anything thicker than the 10 gauge. I read an article that talked about this G7th Performance capo, which at first just sounded like an advertisement because I was very skeptical a different capo would fix the problem, especially because it was much more expensive than any capo I have ever purchased. So I researched this exact G7th Performance capo some more and found that many people were saying the same thing about how great this capo is. So, I ordered one figuring I could return it if it didn't work. But, it DID work, and works really well. I can capo any fret and the guitar stays in tune - it maybe goes out a little depending on the fret, but good enough that the guitar chords still sound good. You still (at least on my Godin) have to take a little time to figure out exactly where the sweet spot is as if it's a little out of tune, you can move the capo a little closer to a fret or further away (more in between the frets) and that puts the guitar back into tune. And a little time is needed to figure out the 'sweet spot' of the tightness the capo needs or you may get a little fret buzz if it's too loose, and it might go a little more out of tune that you'd like if it's too tight. All and all, this is a GREAT capo. I'm very satisfied. I do play acoustic shows about every weekend so I have put this to the test. The only thing you want to make sure you do is keep an eye on the capo and don't forget it! It's an expensive little piece of equipment to leave behind! Hope this helps.

I foolishly bought this $80 capo, thinking that if it costs that much, it must be good. Wrong! It’s worthless. I liked the look and feel, and ease of use, but unfortunately the design is very flawed. I own an original vintage 1968 blonde/ maple Fender Telecaster. I slipped the capo on and was immediately disappointed. The first 5 strings sound great, but the capo applies VERY LITTLE pressure on the high E string. As a result, when playing a chord with an open E, it mutes the string. If I press down on E, it buzzes. So yeah, it’s worthless. Do yourself a favor and stick to the tried and true $30 capos that actually apply enough equal pressure across ALL 6 strings…

It's ok, But I feel like I'm just justifying it because I spent too much on it, I think the rubber surface that presses on the strings should be a bit harder to have a better hold on the notes

Compact en handig. Werkt goed (en snel) + zit niet in de weg bij bepaalde akkoorden

Buzzes more than half the time. My Dunlop trigger fly does the job much better at half the price, almost always right each time.

Good solid easy and nice looking capo

It's actually very good. I was a bit sceptical about the claim to keep things in tune, but it does work according to my tuner. Very easy to put on and release. It has a slim profile so doesnt get in the way when playing. Personally I think it's worth the money. It locks in place securely on the top of the headstock too, so easy to keep with the guitar when not in use. The only potential issue is it fits a standard guitar up to about fret 10. This is fine for most people as you'd not go higher than this, but if you have a slightly wider fret board or a vintage guitar that is wider than normal (not fatter, wider) then you may find it doest fit properly over the high e string earlier than fret 10. For the ease of putting it on and that it actually does keep the tuning correct on all strings, I'd recommend it.
