Worth seeking out
The computer experts will tell you that sleeve bearing fans like this one are at the bottom of the barrel. I bought that in the first decade of the 2000s, and mostly went for fairly well known fan brand names with ball and advanced modern bearings. After a few disappointments, I did some research and discovered a smallish online following for these curiously-named Yate Loon fans.Yate does make ball bearing fans, but good luck finding any. It's enough of a challenge just tacking these down. So I tried a few of these sleeve bearing Yates (identified as such by the S in the model number) for my daily driver machine.Bottom line is that they've held up for over 3 years, which is longer than the fans with the deluxe "Enlobal" bearings lasted. My take on this is that a well designed and well made fan with properly lubricated sleeve bearings may well outlast a cheaply made one with supposedly advanced bearings. I would add that some Yate Loon aficionados advocate disassembling them to add oil (specialty electric motor oil, not general purpose Three-in-One) at least once a year. Some even suggest oiling them when they're brand new. For what these fans cost, though, I haven't bothered, and probably won't.I don't get why some reviewers here downrate these fans. I've found them to be as quiet and as effective as any of the higher-end fans I've tried, and so far they're holding up well. At less than a sawbuck each, a third to a half what many of the name brands go for, I consider them a good value and well worth seeking out.

Great Bang for the Buck
I bought 6 of these Yate Loon medium speed fans. While I would not call them silent, they are also not overly loud. I am using 9 120mm fans in my liquid cooled PC. I placed two of these on my lower radiator, 2 on the upper radiator, 1 on the side panel and 1 is zip tied to some coolant lines in a way to blow directly onto the graphics card to cool components not covered by the water block. These 6 fans replaced an assortment of Cooler Master and XSPC fans. In my opinion, the decibel level has not decreased, however the volume of air has very substantially increased. Now I can turn them down with my controller to be near silent and they produce about the same amount of air as my old setup. ;-)

Great for rad, almost no noise.
I bought two of these fans for my h100i cooler, great replacement for the radiator since I was using the stock fans. Compared to the H100i stock fans to the Yate Loon D12SM-12 the Yates have a noticeable amount of sound reduced, it doesn't have the whirring noise of the h100i fans so that's a plus. Never did an actual benchmark for temperature recordings but using Core Temp program I found the H100i and Yate fans to be around the same temp 50C, sometimes the Yates would be 1C hotter but nothing out of reach. I would reach these temps playing Battlefield or other CPU stressing programs.

A good, low-cost 120mm
There isn't a lot to say about this fan, other than it does its job and does it well. I recently bought two 140mm Yate Loon fans, so when I needed a 120mm, it only made sense for me to buy one of these. I've had no problem with it since installation, and the computer runs about 12 hours a day, every day.

Great Fans
I purchased a number of these for a project. They are not the newest fans on the market, but they do offer both 3 and 4 pin connectors, and are VERY quiet for the money. My more expensive Thermaltake's are noticably louder than these, but seem to have similiar air flow. I have not tracked any appreciable increase or decrease in chassis temps, but the volume decrease is night and day.

Excellent
The fan gives great air flow, cooled down my Hard Drive down to 25.0C. Worth buying for new comers. I also had some issues with it, such as not receiving screws (Managed to solved that from an old power supply screw). Air flow is not too bad, but spreads than going forward as I thought.

Not quite right match
Same spec, same code on the fan but different wiring and input! Had to combine existing input and rewire whole thing to make it work

thumbs down
Two I purchased started developing a large whine after 6 months of use. The motor is very warm to the touch during operation. They aren't that quiet.
