Worth the Money
After reading the full spectrum of reviews here at Amazon as well as trying out numerous models of dip stations at local sporting good stores, I decided to give the Ultimate Body Press Dip Stand a try. While I ultimately gave the item five stars, let me begin with two minor complaints. First, assembly is not as easy as it could be. Each part is marked with a colored dot that slides into a second part with a corresponding colored dot. However, two of the colors (yellow and slightly darker yellow) are nearly indistinguishable in normal lighting and with a casual glance. If you stop and look for the difference, it's there, but it doesn't stand out. Once you've differentiated between two very similar shades of yellow dots, assembly is pretty straightforward. The directions are not terribly useful (which isn't that big of deal, since you really can't mess up matching colored dots), but I'd strongly encourage the company to rewrite them; they appear as if they were written by someone who is very familiar with the assembly process and not written for someone who had just received a box of parts. Second, after the product is assembled, there's a disturbing amount of play to it. For all intents and purposes, you wouldn't want something to which you were going to entrust your full body weight to wiggle a good deal and it does - but only until you put your body weight on it. Seriously. Please allow me to continue. This is a five star review after all. The Ultimate Body Press Dip Stand is well-designed and incredibly sturdy. Once your body weight is on it, it tightens up beautifully. Granted, the first time or two it's a little disconcerting to be able to stand next to the Ultimate Body Press Dip Stand and wiggle it as if all the joints are loose, only to have it be incredibly tight and stable when you apply your body weight to it. Once you've mounted the device, there's no play to it at all and it's just a hair below being rock solid. I realize how odd that sounds, but that was exactly my experience with the Ultimate Body Press Dip Stand. That said, it performs beautifully. I had been a dedicated member of my local gym for nearly ten years before it went out of business, at which point I decided to workout from home. The Ultimate Body Press Dip Stand was the missing piece of equipment in my home gym and I'm accustomed to doing a lot of dips at the gym. There is an extremely slight wobble to the device when doing body weight exercises on it (I weigh almost 200 pounds) but it isn't enough to be a distraction or a safety concern. Even when you reach the end of a set and your arms are shaking, the Ultimate Body Press Dip Stand remains very stable. If I hadn't been concerned by how much this piece of equipment wiggled when I stood next to it, the wobble while in use is so minute that I probably wouldn't have noticed it. Having done a lot of dips over the years, the wobble is very minor and I truly believe you'd need a solid weld, rather than a connection, to completely eliminate the play. The construction is solid (think fitted metal pipes sliding into each other and locking in place with large pins), everything from the hand grips to the rubber pieces that touch the floor are well-made, and having worn out my share of equipment, the Ultimate Body Press Dip Stand seems to be much more durable than most pieces of home gym equipment. For the price, I would recommend the Ultimate Body Press Dip Stand without reservation. I'm extremely happy with the purchase - especially at the price - and given my personal preference, I imagine that I will use it much more frequently than the average purchaser, so I'm probably more critical than most. I'm giving it five stars as its only real competition would be a high-end dip station where all the joints have been welded into a single unit. For a piece of home gym equipment that is capable of being disassembled for shipping or storage, I honestly can't imagine how you would improve upon this item. It's as stable, functional, and durable as you can get without welding all of the joints together.

One of my better exercise equipment investments.
I bought this because it was used in the bodyrock videos. I loved their workouts but decided to them a couple of months before investing in any of the equipment they used. Two months later I bought the 10lb Ugi in Steel, Ugi Fitness at Home Kit , sandbag Ultimate Sandbag Training Systems: Pink Power Package and the dip station, Ultimate Body Press Dip Stand . They really upped the challenge and maximized my results. It was a little pricey but I do think it has been worth it. It took only minutes to assemble and seems sturdy. I am about 115lbs and I feel that it supports my weight with no problem. I do find that it wobbles just a little bit but not to the point where I feel its unstable. Once your weight is on it, its fine. The padding for your hand helps but I do find that my hands still hurt when doing ab work that requires you lifting your legs and putting all your weight on your hands but I suppose that can't be helped. I've bought a LOT of exercise equipment over the years and I have to say these three items are what I consider to be my best investments based on their cost, how much use I get out of them and the results they yield. If you are also a body rock/Zuzana fan and are wondering what equipment to start with, I would say that you start with the sandbag, followed by the UGI, then the dip station. The sandbag is the most versatile, in my opinion, because 1) you can vary the grip and incorporate it into more workouts, 2) You can vary the weight so that you can get a much more challenging workout with it if you wanted where as with the UGI you are limited to whatever weight you bought. The dip station is also a good buy and great for ab workouts but, again, is even more limited in its use. You can only do a number of things on it a certain way. But I can honestly tell you that adding these items to my workouts maximized my results.

Surprisingly Efficient.
The Quick Facts: I'm 6'2, 215 pounds and feel secure on this product. My knees do not touch the ground and set up of the device was simple. Strongly recommend this product if you have the cash. It's pretty expensive for what it is. The Long Winded Part: After doing P90X and X2 for a long time I recently switched to more conventional mass gaining training techniques. The program I opted to use stated Dips being one of the work outs. I decided to take a shot on this product but was reticent, believing it too "gimmicky". I read a few reviews about it wobbling and was indeed concerned when i first assembled it as it shook a bit. Once my weight was in it though it kinda, locks into position and doesn't go anywhere, even with 215 pounds bearing side to side. The hand holds are decent (I put on lifting gloves for a better grip). Shipping: Came well packaged and in pristine condition. Set Up: Color coordinated. I'm the type of dude who can't hammer a nail without bending it and I managed to put it together in under 5 minutes. Space: Folds up perfectly for storage in my tiny apartment between the dumbbell rack and the wall. The Work Out: Triceps are killin' me 2 days after using it. Don't feel the "body weight row" exercise really works though. Maybe with feet elevated on a bench or something. OVERALL: Awesome little piece of equipment to have around. However, if you are strapped for cash, stick to chair dips for your triceps.

Great, Easy to set up piece of equipment
I ordered the Ultimate Body press Dip Stand on a Sunday night and it was at my door step that Wednesday. It set up in literally 2 minutes. It comes with colored stickers on the ends of each piece so that you know which ones connect to each other. I am a little color blind so I actually confused the red, yellow, and orange stickers but even with these few mistakes, it took me under 2 minutes to set it up. If you aren't color blind, then you could honestly set it up in under a minute. The pieces clip together very easily and there is zero hassle when setting it up. Though I have not yet disassembled it, I am sure it would be just as easy to take apart and transport around. Once I had it up, the first thing I noticed was how tall it is. I am 6 feet tall and even when my arms went passed 90 degrees while doing dips I still had ~3 inches of clearance between myself and the ground. When doing reverse rows, I had plenty of room to work with but not so much that a slip would result in any type of injury. The equipment itself is very attractive with a black, brushed aluminum look. It has two pads on the top that are thin enough to help you get a good grip, but thick enough to keep you comfortable when on the machine. The equipment is a little shaky when you touch it and aren't doing exercises on it, but once your body weight gets on it, it is incredibly stable and does not shake at all. Overall, this is a great piece of workout equipment. Dips and rows are two great exercises and this helps you do both with ease. I would recommend this product to anyone with an interest in getting in shape.

Great Folding Dip Stand
When not in use, I store all my workout equipment in a small corner of my garage, so when I decided to get a dip stand, it had to be easily foldable for compact storage. The Ultimate Body Press was the only foldable model I could find, so I hoped it would work well. It didn't disappoint me. It goes together very easily and once you put your weight on it, it's rock solid. I felt very secure during dips. I even tried swinging during leg raises to further test its stability, and it remained totally stable. I just can't understand all the reviewers that complained about it being wobbly during use. The non-slip grips worked well, and I liked that they weren't padded. The entire dip stand seems very well made and I feel confident it will be durable in the long term. Folding it up for storage is also fast and easy. My only criticism is the use of stickers for color coding the assembly. Without the stickers, proper assembly would be difficult at best. One of my stickers was already pealing slightly when I received the dip stand, and it is very likely other stickers will loosen with use, so I added some clear tape all the way around the tube at each colored sticker, to make sure they stay attached. If you don't need a folding dip stand, there are plenty of good choices that are cheaper than the Ultimate Body Press, but if you need it to fold this is an excellent product.

Perfect but one minor issue...
First of all, it arrived fast and with no packaging issues. Some commenters wrote about the package arriving mangled, etc. Thankfully I didn't experience that. It does exactly as advertised. Great for dips, reverse rows, and more. Some wrote if you're 6' or taller, you would hit your knees on the floor when doing dips. I'm 5' 11"/6' 0" and still have a few inches for sure, so should be fine unless you're very tall...6' 4" and up. I guess it could also depend on the length of your arms, etc. As others mentioned, it may seem slightly unsteady, but as soon as you apply any weight to it, seems extremely stable, as others also mentioned. As for putting it together, super easy. As everyone has said, it's just a matter of connecting the pieces by color. Each end has a dot that is a color. My only disappointment is it's advertised as easy to fold up and put away. That's not really the case. Gives you the impressions you push in a pin or two and it folds. It doesn't. You would have to push in quite a few pins and disassemble some of it, then reassemble it again to use it. I have space issues so this was disappointing. However, I found an okay spot for it, so no big deal. Despite this, I still rate it 5 stars. Maybe I'd rate it 4 1/2 because if that if the option was available. Not much else to say. Again, it does just as it should. Combine this with a pull-up bar and you're really set. In my opinion, as is the opinion of others who have switched from gym weights to bodyweight training, bodyweight training is much more effective for both mass & strength. Gym weight training isolates the muscles, thereby requiring less muscle fibers to get involved, thus the inferior results when compared to bodyweight training. Push-ups, pull-ups/chin-ups, reverse body rows, handstand push-ups, dips, & leg/knee raises (and bodyweight squats for legs) are all you truly need to obtain a strong and muscular body. Add in some core exercises like planks and you're all set.

Nope.
It was fairly easy to assemble, but not that easy because there was some rust or something inside one of the tubes so they didn’t slide in easily. Once it was assembled, it was stable and functional enough. However, disassembly was futile. The buttons were hard to press in, had alignment with holes issues, and the recommended method for disassembly didn’t work at all. I finally had to disassemble it completely, because I have no space for it in its assembled configuration. I bought it thinking it could be disassembled (folded up) easily. I’m too busy to bother packing it back up and returning it. It will go in the shed never to be used again. I’ll eat the loss. You might get a better one than I got, but there is a chance you’ll get a lemon too—be advised.

Life-giving
In order to keep young (spiritually, physically, mentally), I really believe in the idea of our bodies, therefore, needing to continue experiencing the physical "dynamics" of our youth, as well as the spiritual and mental "dynamics" we experienced in our youth. ...Such as laughing, smiling, joking, playing. Physically - running, JUMPING and CLIMBING (when was the last time you jumped or climbed?), and tumbling/hitting/taking a fall, for instance. Similarly, I believe they are synergistic - both the physical AND spritual/mental are like ying and yang... one begets the other. If you are physically, "young," you are more likely to be spirtually/mentally "young" and vice-versa. I realized this lately after purchasing the product below, thank G-d. Among MANY uses (check out the promo video for ways to use, beyond dips), one I am finding particularly "youthful" is placing this device in front of an entranceway (say, from kitchen to living room). As I walk into either room, the device is there. I grab on to the side "rails" and lift my self/my body weight up and over - in essence, elevating myself from one room to the other. It's simple, yet quite evocative of a youthful feeling. The "dip rows" (see the video in the link) remind me of the feeling of climbing monkey bars, for instance. I'm very satisfied, it's easily detachable, sturdy once you put your weight on it, storeable and portable - great tool contributing to my health... and spirit! To life! :) ***UPDATE Feb 2013*** Orignially, I gave this device 5-stars: it does what it's supposed to and is convenient. Unfortunately, on the other hand, the device's lack of adequate and ergodynamic padding/hand grips put a beating on my wrists and hands through use over time, so I don't use the device anymore. I couldn't focus on my workout (what the device is for) without needing to stop to attend to the wrist and hand pain.

Dismantles is less than 2 minutes
The fact it can be dismantled in less than 2 minutes, would have given 5star but the price is a bit high

The product came rusted and wobbly. I don’t have time to complete a refund.

Good quality, well finished and great looking dip station
One of the top quality dip stations you can find on the market now. Price point is reasonable compared to similar products and the black/white colour frame looks fantastic at home. Not the right equipment if you are looking to do handstands or planches. For me it is perfect for dips and leg raises. Slight wobble due to the compact design did not affect my use of the equipment. Absolutely love it.

Dip Station RECOMENDADO
Producto 100% recomendado.
