I drifted away from Andis and tried a few other brands of trimmers and clippers. I'm a traditional barber and I have realized that the power and reliability of your tools is key to doing your best. The Andis T Outloner is, simply, the best I've ever worked with. The power, precision and reliability is there the the stand is cool and looks awesome at my station. Next I have to buy the cordless Master. Now how do I explain that to my wife...? Lol.

For a guy who likes to buzz his head everyday but not shave it to the skin, this is the perfect trimmer. The blades are sharp and unlike those Remington clamshell shaped trimmers i was suckered into purchasing 2 or 3 times previously, it holds a charge and does not slow down. It takes my hair down to a peachfuzz height, perfect to help eliminate what i refer to as the Junior High Guidance Counselor hairdoo. No ugly crown ring across the back of my head , just short short stubble. My only complaint - and its not much of one- is the size of the cutting head is far smaller than the other trimmers i have used so it takes more passes to cover the whole skull. But….. because of its sharpness and blade speed, usually only one pass is all you need to eliminate the growth so the total time balances out. Added benefit: i can trim really tight around the ears and even take my face stubble down to a nice short tight and neat length. I have used it on average 5 days/week since buying it 2 months ago and it has been flawless with charge lasting easily on a 4 day business trip with daily buzzings. Great sturdy charging base keeps it safely in place on my bathroom counter and as a bonus, the blue LEDcharging light is a bright and serves as a kick arse bathroom nightlight.

I have always had the T-Outliner Corded versions but I travel overseas a lot and the biggest hassle has always been carrying around a power converter to make the clippers work right and even then the clippers were either not working well enough or the power made them turn into Jaws! I recently got the cordless one and I am so happy. The charger is compatible with all power ratings and the clippers work just as good as the corded ones!! The charge lasts forever! These are what I have needed my whole military career but now that I am retired oh well. I bought 2 pairs of these cordless ones. I'm so happy with them! They cut perfectly and are just as strong as the corded ones. So much easier to travel with also. I use mine to shave my head and my face. They cut just as close as a razor. There is no need to ever use my corded ones again!
