Snow Blower
This blower just broke down on me several times. When it works, it’s great. I’ve had to drop it off at the shop out of my pockets several times. I wouldn’t buy it again.

So far, exceeds expectations : EDIT 1 YR LATER
I was reading through some of the reviews for the smaller version of this snow thrower and they were hit or miss. Well after getting 2 feet of lake effect snow over the last week I have had a chance to thoroughly put this through the paces and it is awesome. It is fast, cuts down to the concrete, and hasn't given me even one problem so far.Only "con" I can think of is that some of the more expensive machines have one handed chute aim controls, whereas this one is a little more of process. Every time I want to change the chutes direction I have to stop the machine, unscrew the lock for the chute, adjust the direction, and finally tighten the lock back up. A small price to pay for what I consider an excellent snow thrower at an excellent price.Below is review from January 2012...This thing is definitely a p.o.s. buy a slightly smaller higher quality for the same price or spend more for a name brand. I have had so many problems with this machine. Replaced auger belt twice, drive belt once, I am now waiting for the second replacement auger control cable - not to mention the chute now has to be adjusted by hand, I can't use the direction control since one of the rivets holding it in place have popped out. Customer service / tech support from manufacturer is sub par at best. When the machine is working properly I still think it is great, however, it has been out of commission far too many times in the just over a year that I've owned it. The amount of money/time I have put into this thing have surely justified spending a few hundred dollars more for a machine that has a WARRANTY! I am frustrated at this point, please heed this update as well other reviews and look elsewhere.

Powerland PDST32/13HP Snow Thrower
Just received my new PDST32 Snow Thrower and unpacked it today. Asssembly was easy, the instructions were easy to follow and I had the unit up and running within 30-40 minutes. I filled up the engine with oil and gas and tested it out in 8 inches of wet snow! The 13HP engine started on the first pull with no problem and threw the wet snow at least 8-10 feet without any hesitation. I was somewhat leary to purchase the unit since it wasn't a major brand name, but now that I've been able to run it for a few minutes it is probably one of my best purchases. I had to contact Tech Support on a quick question regarding adjusting the auger engagement and they were very, very helpful and pleasant to deal with. I would recommend this unit to anyone seeking a snow thrower with a powerful engine, large clearing path and price that can't be beat! Looking forward to seeing more snow!

10 storms 2 major brake downs
I bought this snow blower in January of 2011. I've used it a total of about 10 times. most storms the snow was 6 inches or less. a few were over 2 feet.Pro:When it worked it did a good job clearing the snow.once you got it running it ran well.Con:The handle bars are flimsy. It feels like they are going to break off at any moment when you are trying to turn or maneuver the blower. The engine is hard to start with the pull start. it kicked back on me more than once and nearly broke my hand. The electric start could barely turn over the engine and required plugging into an electrical socket on my house. it also smelled like it was catching on fire. The chute controls are very cumbersome. requires two hands and stopping the blower to change the chute direction.MAJOR CON:after about 5 heavy snow storms and 2 light ones the auger stopped moving half way through clearing my driveway. I assumed the shear pins had broken but they had not. The auger drive gears had stripped out. I had to have the driveway plowed which is another bad story. Luckily it was under warranty. long story short I got a new one and was assured on the phone that the new one would not fail. Fast forward three storms later and I'm stuck with a half cleared driveway half cleared and snow blower that doesn't blow. The gear went again in the auger just like they assured me it wouldn't.Can't get part's easily. If you buy this snow blower buy some extra parts to go along with it. because you'll end up stuck with snow on the driveway after 10 storms and no way to get parts before next month.Do not buy Powerland products.

Chinese JUNK
This is a piece of Chinese JUNK. After owning it for a few years I'm ready to toss it in the trash. After only 5 times of use the gear oil started leaking out of the auger gear box. Called up Powerland and ordered a whole new gear box with shafts for $70, the one they sent was cut different and did not fit, I had to file the shaft to replicate the original part, not too big of a deal and installed the new gear box and the next day I see this one is leaking gear oil too! This winter we have a lot of snow but this thing keeps throwing the auger belt. I just installed a new belt and this morning I was out there and sure enough the belt got thrown! It is very difficult to put the belt on so I take it apart more just to make putting the belt on easier. I have this thing apart working on it more than I get to use it! DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK!!!!!!!!!!I'm ready to go out and buy a Craftsman or some other main brand thrower, I rather pay twice the amount and have something that works when I need it to work!
