I love this tripod • Lightweight and portable • So easy to use
I bought this after seeing it recommended by Marcus Rothkranz on the MarcusPix YouTube channel. If you're not familiar with Marcus, he reviews camera gear and makes awesome videos about it. He loves this tripod and now I do too! I was looking for something really portable. I'm small (5'2" and 100 pounds) so lugging a tripod around is a big deal for me. This tripod is so lightweight that it's not a problem for me to carry at all. It breaks down to a very portable size and comes with a good carrying bag. And it is so easy to break down and set up. While lightweight, it is still very sturdy. I mount my camera on this stand and also use it as a stand for a light or reflector. Because it is so light and portable, it gets a lot of use and it is proving to be very durable. I love it and am so glad I bought it!

Remarkable value
Pleasantly surprised by the build quality and the tripods ability to fold down so compactly. The great thing is that the legs are adjustable and spread out far enough as to afford the stability it needs. I'm not going to place any top heavy items on it but should I do so I'd recommend some weights at the bottom: (Note... I've read other reviews where they fuss about putting heavier items on the stand and I'm perplexed but that.. even with stands costing FAR more it's the smart thing to place sandbags or something similar at the base to stabilize it. I use velcroed ankle weights and they work wonderful. Thinking ahead goes a long way with this or any stand)... Another major plus are the locking clasps to adjust the sections. That's always a bonus over twist locks to me. My only regret is that I didn't buy an extra one at first. Top notch for the weight, compactness and utility. I'll edit this further once I've had more time with it.

Almost Perfect Light Stands
This softbox light stand is so close to being perfect! I love the packability, the light weight, and how tall they get once extended. The one thing that prevents them from being 5 stars is the locking mechanism. I wrongfully assumed from the pictures that the legs would lock in the same way my K&F camera tripod legs would. by simply sliding the legs over the notches, and then to pack it up you press down on the lever on the legs to fold them over the notches. I was incorrect. Theres some less-favorable version of this going on. You have to pull out a tab on the legs, situate the leg at approximately the notch you want it set to, then press the tab in. This tab doesnt feel durable and like it will hold up to consistent use. I really wish they would have went with what they have on their camera tripod. Other than that tho i think this is an amazingly well built light weight softbox tripod!

Very Impressive Stand
My first impression was great. Feels light and sturdy. It is very easy to opperate, which is important. I like the rubber pads at the feet of this. They seem to have a very nice density. I also discoved it has a spring loaded hook under the center shaft for a dead weight added. Way cool!Just before writing this review I looked over some of the worst reviews and do not understand their complaints after playing around with it again and testing those issues. The top mount is a one piece metal head that would not break like plastic, and is easil;y unscrewed to replace if needed. This fully extended at the leg second notch went well over my head at 5' 10". I did not feel any wabble or play to the poles fully extended. I had recently bought a carbonfiber stand with flimsy aluminum legs costing twice this much, which was less stable, less versatle, harder to opperate, and would not hold it's position. Which had inspired me to find a better stand. I had been using some Manfrotto stands for several years before that, but have some limitation. I believe this is the one I was searching for.

Great for travel
Great quality, feels sleek. I bought this to attach to my carry on fir a plane trip & it was the perfect size. It’s lightweight & easy to setup & takedown. Would not recommend for heavy flash setups without weights Bc it is so lightweight it could easily get knocked over.

Broke and ruined my cameras threads
I use a Canon EOS r with a f2.8 24-70mm and the tripod piece ended up breaking in my camera. I’ve used other tripods/monopods and never had this happen. This tripod’s threads are simply too weak and soft to be used on anything important.

Use light in weight products on them
So I was pretty happy to get this dual pack, especially as the reviews were pretty good and the price was right for Black Friday. I have attached photos, one showing how it came in the Amazon box - tons of free room to roam. This guy could have had 4 or 5 of his closest tripod friends in there and still had room. It was just that box in a box. To no ones shock, something was broken. I was wondering why I could here the legs moving around. So there is a close up of the broken leg and how the box it came in looked - I didn't chew the end of the box, that's how it came.It seems that only one or two manufacturers makes these style for everyone that has a tripod even closely resembling this one - they just change the name. It's not a bad idea with the ratchets, and the one that wasn't broken seems to do alright. I am holding panel lights with these for my IT business videos.I am sending them back, of course, due to the damage. I won't be getting another set as I am putting the refund money into more sturdy options. These will work great with those little ring lights that weigh like 4 oz. lol.

Great portability
These can fit into very small carry on suit cases. Not the smallest suitcases but pretty small ones.
