Looks like it was designed by the Batman
Please note, I reference both this cordless Multiquick 220v MQ940CC and also the Multiquick corded 110v MQ777 - you will see why but please read carefully to know what I am saying about which product. This is a very expensive cordless hand blender (I paid $182 not including tax) - so I recommend that you buy the 2 year additional warranty. This is especially important as I don't believe Braun warrants 220v products for USA buyers. That being said, this is an extremely cool cordless hand blender. The jug could be a thicker plastic, but the actual stick blender is really nice and seems to be well made. It charges up just fine and has performed well during testing, with the exception of the jug, when making a shake with milk, crushed ice, banana and really hard cereal (Oh's) - it left really tiny crunchy bits of cereal and ice behind. So my Oster blender is actually better for shakes over using the jug accessory. However, just by looking at the blades, I would not expect it to be as good of a smoothie blender anyways. On the other hand, the jug blender accessory ground up graham crackers for a cheesecake crust like a champ, nice evenly fine crumbs.Another good thing to know, the Braun Multiquick corded model 7 and this blender have interchangeable parts, which means that you can get the food processor, masher stick and whisk along with a back up corded stick blender for a much better price then buying these accessories separately when the set is on sale. Please note that the 110v corded Braun MQ777 set does NOT include the kneading tool for the processor and that I have not found anywhere where you could actually buy the whisk attachment by itself. Also, the MQ777 corded has a really cool easy to use variable speed feature, squeeze harder, it goes faster, let up, it goes slower. (This cordless 9 has one speed only). You don't have to stop and use your other hand on the corded 7 to change a dial. Pretty cool and 400w for our 110v version, but of course the German model has 750w, very annoying and it kind of hurts my feelings. They don't want us to have high powered stick blenders I guess. BUT, you don't need a step up converter for the cordless 220v model in the USA, to where you would for the corded model. It might seem crazy to buy the MQ cordless 9 and the MQ corded 7 but both fit all the attachments so if my battery on my cordless poops out, at least I can be sure I will have a blender that fits all these cool accessories - who knows if they will all be interchangeable still when that happens, right? And might as well get the backup if the accessories separately cost more then the set on sale anyways, and no whisk available alone, was my thinking. My MQ940CC did not come with a plug adaptor, so I purchased one for under $10 from Radio Shack. It sounds like some private sellers are including plug adaptors, just an FYI that mine purchased from Amazon as the seller and shipper, did not.I really like this MQ9 cordless blender, wonderful design and looks great hanging out on the countertop, always ready to use. I personally did not find it hard to take off attachments nor did I find this hand blender to be too heavy, and I have carpal tunnel in both wrists.I will add on to this review as I get more use of this blender and the attachments that I have to use with it. I like that the masher stick (sold separately) is all plastic, as this is the part that would be going directly into stainless steel cookware, and I like that it should not scratch my pots and pans like metal might. One thing I noticed about both hand blenders, is some squeakiness when testing with the metal immersion shaft, but I found this to go away when used in liquids, as intended. I think this is just newness and running it dry, which was just me playing with it rather then using as intended. But for now, so far, so good.ADD-ON 8/3: I have been using this blender about a week now and have used the whisk twice to beat eggs with season salt for scrambling. It works great and did not over foam the eggs like the actual blender stick would. I was able to blend 8 large eggs in the plastic tall and narrow blending cup without overflow. I also used the chopping blade to cut up red bell pepper and onion into small bits for my eggs, it also did this well and got the pieces pretty small without causing too much juice, and the jug does a great job pulling the food back down to the blade, I had no scrape down the first batch and the next day, scraped down only once, and I did get more evenly cut bits that batch. Food processors never get food processed as pretty and cutting by hand, but this jug accessory did a good job in my opinion. I intend to make some lemon bar crust or some type of dough - I will report back how it handles doughs and crusts. I will obviously will be limited on recipe size, no 5 cups of flour doughs with heavy kneading here, but small flatbread dough batches or lemon bar crust might be fine.

Loved it until it died after 4yrs...
We loved this blender minus the fact that we couldn’t find an American power adapter that was smaller. The bell was perfect for our daily use in coffee and coffee cups. We used it for other things, too, but we used it daily and it was a treat until it died. The charging stand left a bit to be desired with the little metal prongs that popped up and were supposed to make contact with the battery. Regardless, +1 for the product. I’m still trying to decide if we get another one of the same model. TBD.

A MUST HAVE!!
Replaced a Breville sous chef food processor with this...not that the Breville wasn't a great product...just got tired of the many pieces to do what this does with fewer parts..AND..JUST AS WELL!! I ordered in addtion the MQ70 that adds a shredder/slicer AND a kneeding attachment..( one unit with blade attachments)...so the space saving aspect as well as the power and easy clean up is a genuine bonus!!The power converter that is needed to charge this, is small and isn't an inconvenience at all!!

Love this. So easy to use and take apart
Love this. So easy to use and take apart. Much easier to clean than I had envisioned. Works with adapter from EU to US. No more cord to deal with while I use my immersion blender. The cup in a good size. Also comes with a chopper that I have not used yet.Connie
