Work well for programming ESP32 and serial comms eg used with RF modules to send text.
I found with the ESP32 I had to set jumper to 5V or programming would fail. This is on the module that has a 5V input... Seems to work as expected. There are serial comms apps on MS store some of which are ok ish. Or Arduino IDE for the ESP.... But when plugged in it shows up straight away in device manager and works.

Can't fault these, for the price. Not genuine FTDI, so windows drivers might be a pain.
I work a lot with digital-signal serial i/o from microcontrollers, and these USB virtual COM port to TTL serial bridges are just the ticket. Note that they are NOT genuine FTDI chips, so recent Windows drivers for FTDI will probably refuse to play nicely with these. The trick is to go back to earlier drivers, or not use Windows. Overall, these have a multitude of users and I'm pleased with them, especially at the low price.

Great product but beware of the USB mini port
It’s a great product, been using it for over a month now nonstop. The only downside is the usb mini port which I had to buy a cable for because all my cables are usb micro

Supports flashing of Sonoff to Tasmota 3.3v
Windows 10 Pro picked this up straight away and gave it COM3. Changing the jumper to 3.3v and connecting TX RX Gnd and VCC (3.3v) to a Sonoff 4Ch R3 Pro, allowed the Tasmotatiser to work perfectly, (Just disconnect external power and press S1 on boot to get it into firmware flash mode)

Serial port not seen by my Mac
Bought these ages ago for a project that I never got to. Finally trying to use one today & my 2018 MBP on Big Sur doesn't see any serial port at all so it's a useless brick for me. I hadn't noticed the "Not a genuine FTDI" heading at time of purchase.

Ich habe dieses Gerät als UART Auslesegerät besorgt, um per rx und TX Schnittstelle an einem Mainboard einer cechc04 ps3 fat den Fehlerspeicher auszulesen. Das gerät wird an Windows 10 sofort erkannt und installiert die Treiber. (Ich musste zwar ältere installieren für meine Zwecke, das soll aber in der Rezension nicht wichtig sein.) Als ich meine Pythonbefehle losgeschickt habe an das Gerät, hat er schon brav den Fehlerspeicher ausgelesen und es gab keinerlei Probleme, außer dass das auslesen erst dann funktionierte, als ich die RX und TX Stecker getauscht habe. Kann am Python Code liegen, oder an evtl vertauschten RX/TX Schnittstellen auf der Platine. Ist für mich aber kein ko Kriterium, Versuch macht kluch. Also ich bin sehr zufrieden und für den Preis gleich 2 geliefert zu kriegen, ist natürlich auch nicht verkehrt. Würde diese Geräte stets wieder holen.(falls meine jetzigen das zeitliche segnen)

Adaptateur FTDI très pratique, fonctionne parfaitement avec Arduino et Raspberry Pi. Supporte à la fois 3,3 V et 5 V, installation facile et stable. Bon rapport qualité/prix.

The board perfectly works fine with Windows 11, no driver required. Also switching between 3v and 5v functionality works accurately. I was able to connect M10s module from ublox which operates on 3v using this board to my PC. One can use the power supply provided by the board to power the module as well. Highly recommended
