Love the price, love the product!
I'm updating my product review of my StudioPRO off camera kit I bought. Customer device was incredible and replaced what wasn't right. I'm beyond happy and content with the umbrellas and stands. I've used these a couple times now for portraits as well as stills. The entire set up works great. Thank you!!

Better Than Expected
Great Budget Item. I have read many of the condescending reviews of the quality of this product. That being said, I was looking to receive flimsy little stands and a what I received, while it may not be $1000 material far exceed my expectations. Yes, the stands would blow away in a tornado, but so would a $1000 stand....To me it has a fair amount of weight to it.Yes, the knobs are plastic. Turn them with care. Take care not to over tighten them and I think all will be well. If you are looking for a cheap method to start a small studio. I think these cant be beat for the money!

Not functional, broken, and not as advertised
Based on the price of this item, I knew I wasn't going to get anything fantastic. But I thought it would at least be functional. There were three issues that made this product unusable.1. As soon as I opened the package I noticed that both of the knobs that tighten/loosen to raise/lower the stand had completely stripped the plastic (yes, this is made of plastic). Since they had stripped the plastic, you could not tighten or loosen them, therefore making the stand useless as it could not go up or down.2. The strobe/umbrella mount doesn't hold a speed light with a standard hot shoe mount. I just tried to attach a simple external flash that I've used successful with stands for years, and the mount didn't fit it. This is ironic because the mount is literally designed to fit nothing but a hot shoe mount. I could tell that's what it's for, but it doesn't tighten far enough to hold the flash in place. I ended up having to jam paper into the gap between the hot shoe and the mount to get it to fit snug. Even then I didn't trust it to hold my strobe.3. Finally, the umbrella is horrid, but this has to do with the price of the item. The material of the umbrella is not sufficient for softening the light that comes through it. I found the light very harsh, just moderately better than a direct flash. The overall build of the umbrella is bad. If I didn't return this item and tried to shoot with this setup, I have no doubt the umbrella would break after a few uses. This is a common case of "you get what you pay for." The umbrella issue can be excused, but the other two issues stop the item from being at all functional. For the sake of future buyers I hope they fix these issues.

Good Stuff
I know that some others who have reviewed this item have noted that it is cheaply made, but I disagree: the stands are sturdy, the Yongnuo speed lights I got in the same order fit it perfectly, the reflector umbrellas throw a lot of light, the "shoot-through" brollies work as advertised, and I can set it all up and pack it up in almost less time than it takes to write about it. It's true that the umbrellas wouldn't last five minutes in a Southern Idaho thunderstorm, but that's not what they're designed to do -- they're designed to modify photographic light and they do it well. The kit includes plastic storage sleeves for the stands and the umbrellas, and all the parts fit nicely in the bag (there's even room for my speed lights and on-camera controller). In combination with the YN 560 III flashes, it's a thoroughly useful product.

decent enough for occasional use
not the high end setup you expect for 30 bucks. kidding of course, the rig will work well for those like myself that dont do this for a living and it should last a long time for occasional use. probably not a good choice if your expecting to use it often. personally im glad theres a option like this that i can afford to use on occasion as opposed to buying a expensive piece of hardware that doesnt get used much. and i guess thats the key.

The two stands and brackets seems sturdy enough and fair quality
The two stands and brackets seems sturdy enough and fair quality. The umbrella gets slightly deformed when you tighten the finger screw holding it in the bracket. Don't think it will become a problem, but there will after short period of use be a lot of indentations on the umbrella poles. The bag holds all the speed light modifier parts. I have my two Yonguon YN560IV speedlight and transmitter in the bag with the modifer parts. I dont expect this set to last for very long time, but it will give me a good chance to get to get familiar with this kind of studio equipment and I will then later upgrade if I start to do heavy studio work.

Awesome seller, awesome kit for the price.
For $51 I got a pretty decent stand and 3 good quality umbrellas (with the hot shoe and a decent bag). There was a little issue with one of the items, I emailed the seller and they instantly took care of it, which I really appreciate. This kit is awesome for the money, I do recommend it.

Add a couple lights and good to go!
Tested the items the other night, nice case tripods are sturdy enough for inside. I would not take them out in the wind without sandbags to hold them in place to use as a flash stand. Love the product, definitely recommend for the price!!You will need adapters for Sony flashes, they are ready to go for Canon and Nikon!
