Ikea Hampen Rug Red High Pile

I ordered this rug to fit into a small entryway and it does fit. The color is nice - a very bright red. However, when I unrolled the rug there was a very bad chemical smell. I had to take it outside because the smell just enveloped the room. I don't know how this will do when I try to wash it. It certainly cannot go into the washer. The backing is very stiff. The fibers aren't packed very close together like more expensive rugs but for the price I didn't expect much. There is a label on the back that is actually glued to the rug. I tried to pull it off but it did not come off in one piece. I had to pick little pieces off one at a time. Overall, just ok.

I love the color, it is nicely made and thick pile. Price is fantastic! I will buy more of this type of rug. I put it out by the front porch and it is quite welcoming and warm when someone comes to your door. Very impressed with the fast service and also how thick the pile is. I wish my house was covered in this rug, it is that GREAT!

Was disappointed in this rug. Was smaller than what I thought it would be. Poor quality weave. . Didn't have a nice finished edge. Looked as if someone cut out a small square section from a roll of carpet.

I am thrilled with this rug. I needed a square rug for Feng Shui decorating purposes. The color is also perfect for the purpose. It is practically impossible to find a square rug. I guess there is a rule somewhere that rugs have to be rectangular or circulars! I'm already considering ordering another one so I will have a replacement.

This is in our grandsons dorm room and is perfect for cold mornings. His favorite color and a good match for his bed covers.

A really nice rug. It's small, but works for my dorm room and I think it was worth the price.
