The handles work well and make it so much easier to lift the cover. Love the rubber grips on the handles. It does prevent them from laying flat but we do not care about that. Because it's a hatch door, we never put more than the vacuum cleaner on top of it to assure it it always easy to access. The handles are sturdy so I find them to be a good value for the money. If you need them to lay flat, you could remove the rubber grips. The other thing to be aware of is no screws are included. This makes sense because the type of screw and length needed depends on the purpose the handles are being used for. Because of this, it would not be practical to include 20 screws which might, or might not, be suitable for the job. Overall, I'm very pleased with this solution to gaining access to our crawl hole. We should have done this years ago.

Solid, well made and look great. I installed these on a Bass Guitar Amp that had no side handles. Was quite a task picking up the amp getting into the back of the car. Had to reach down and grab a wheel and the top handle to pick it up. Sucked. So I got these and started installing them. The great part if the rubber handle, it keeps it from vibrating's while playing. Oh, these do not come with screws. I seen the wood screws and ordered them. However, I like just a little extra reinforcement so I put 2 hardened Allen screws and bolts on top corners. That's just me, I want to make sure these stay on. I highly recommend these.

These sturdy handles do the job perfectly. They are easy to grab and open to horizontal so your fingers don't get smashed. The stiff foam makes them even more comfortable. I love the price! I'm using these instead of the $55/pair handles I used to use. Delivery was uneventful (good!)

The Good: - Heavy duty feel and good gauge metal pot/base. - Handle cushioning feels good - Can easily be fitted into anything over 1/2" thickness - Springs in handle will have no trouble retracting The Bad: - Wish there was a trace outline card for the actual hole required, just tracing the bottom is not enough, since it has a slight angle and is hardly square expect to make adjustments to edge up to a tight fit if that matters to you. The Mehh: - Doesn't come with screws that match the matte colour. I ended up just using some chrome ones eventually since anything I had that would fit tended to be gloss and looked off. - While I appreciate how strong the spring is, it makes it a bit difficult to just grab it quick. It really pulls the handle back and likes to keep it there. (this may loosen a bit over time hopefully in my case. - It has different thicknesses on the screw in bezel so it kinda made it annoying to make the whole plate flush - (again only if you want full contact - I don't like leaving voids for liquids or whatever to get into.) Overall Good quality and good price - I just wish there was just a square of cardboard for a dam trace instead to trying to measure a sloped surface.

Great product at a great price!! I bought this for my home made fridge slide/drawer platform in my Xterra. Very strong and I love the spring loaded handle because it won’t rattle around when driving off road.

Used these handles for a large plywood box used to house a fan. The handles are solid, but I have a couple of small criticisms. The handles are not completely recessed due to the rubber that surrounds it. If this is important to you, you might need to remove the rubber sheath, or consider alternative products. My last criticism is that the recessed portion of the case that sits in the hole in your project is tapered, so it can be challenging to measure and get a tight fit, but it can be done.

Used this for a long heavy drawer in our camper conversion. Looks good and works well.

Solid product and works as advertised. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was that the handle does not sit fully flush with the unit. The foam padded handle sits slightly proud of the rest. Minor nuisance,
