This is so darn cute and functional. Even my husband likes it! Highly recommend!
UPDATED TIP:When using it on the pressure relief valve in the closed position on the Ninja Foodi, make sure you have not turned it too far that direction as the valve may not seal completely. If that happens, just bring it back towards the open position - JUST a tiny nudge. Thats all it needs.Original Review:I bought this to use with my 8qt Ninja Foodi, which, right now, I'm using in our RV.While our RV has lots of room, and lots of counter space, the cabinets sit pretty low to the counters and I have limited areas to use such a big appliance. It's short cord makes it impossible to use on the table (which I accidentally collapsed once, so that's not a safe option anyway), and the device's permanently attatched crisper lid limits its position on the counter top. So diverting steam is pretty important as it otherwise puts out lots of moisture directly on the cabinets. You really don't want structures getting wet in an RV.At first I used a towel hung from a cabinet and draped across the permanent crisping lid (which has to be open when using the pressure cooker lid), and that worked "ok" but was a pain. Then I came across this little gadget in an article that popped up in my news feed, thought 'what a great idea!', and decided to try it.It fits great on my pressure lid, and, just as someone else demonstrated in a video here, it hooks onto the pressure relief valve knob in such a way that it allows the part you normally grasp (to turn the pressure release valve open or closed) to stick out through one of the 4 holes at the bottom. See attatched picture. So all you need to do is turn this little fella, which then easily turns the pressure release valve for you, and you have easy instant pressure release and steam diversion with no worries of hot steam hitting your fingers! The steam that comes out of the diverter is much cooler than at the point it first exits the valve. The entire thing is made of silcone, and is thick and sturdy enough to use with no concern of it collapsing on you. Sooo easy to use.Overall, I have to say this is great, ingenious and so darn cute! I was also really surprised at how delighted my husband was with it. An added bonus!Highly recommend!

Cute and functional
I love the feature of many placement holes along the bottom side of the minion. I can rotate to the perfect spot to release the steam. Some other selections had only two, didn’t buy those. My husband used the instapot while I recovered from surgery and thought the minion was the coolest thing after I advised him of its use and benefits. We call him by name and make sure he is out for his services. He’s just so stinking cute!

It’s cute, and it mostly works.
I’m a big Instant Pot guy. We use ours 2-4 times a week.In the past, I’ve used the IP on the kitchen island, where it vented straight up without issues.Recently, we’ve moved the IP to the counter under the cabinets. Venting straight up isn’t desirable, because it would soak the underside of the kitchen cabinets.Hence this little gadget. Love Minions, so this is fun. And it generally works well. Here are the caveats.1. It’s not a super tight seal so you still get some venting between this gizmo and the lid of the IP.2. You have to situate the gizmo with a bit aforethought. So when you move the IP lever to vent, the “eyes” of the Minion are pointed away from the wall and also not towards you. Not a criticism of this particular product… all similar such venting redirection products will be similar.3. The quality control of the color of the gizmo leaves a bit to be desired. It seems to be manufactured from one color, and then painted for the other colors. But it’s not perfect.Overall, it works as intended within reasonable expectations, and the quality is within reasonable expectations. You’re not going to be blown away, but you’ll be satisfied.

Cute and easy to use product
Just received the steam diverter today, and my 3.5 yo loved it (thinking it was a toy for him). Fits easily on our 6 qt InstantPot Duo, and also makes it easy to turn the knob from "sealing" to "pressure release". This will help save our cabinets and walls for sure. I like that it has multiple options on how to put it on the knob for steam diversion. Although it probably is dishwasher safe, I'll hand wash it.ETA: I used it for the first time last night, and the diverter was cool to the touch when dispersing steam, and did not spew moisture out (potentially causing burns), but diverted the steam appropriately. I realized I just need to be cautious about how I put it on the valve, as I can see me switching to the venting setting and putting the steam directly in my face, if it isn’t installed to only divert steam completely away from any potential people in front of it. Not a design flaw, but something to watch out for. I also like to melt mascara on my lashes and touch pans when they come out of the oven, so, I might just have a knack for said accidents.

A very useful Minion
The media could not be loaded. This steam diverter actually works as advertised. Must admit I was skeptical. We’ve tried a steam diverter before and found it to be flawed in design (wouldn’t sit squarely on the relief valve thus allowing pressure to escape making it virtually impossible for the InstaPot to pressurize. When I saw this item in a news feed article about Christmas gifts available on Amazon, I investigated further. The customer review videos looked promising, so ordered one albeit with some lingering doubts it would actually work. Turns out it does work.

Cute and fit my Ninja 6 Quart
The item arrived as schedule. Bright and cute - a nice addition to have. However, I did read in some places that we should only use any DIVERTER Pressure add ons ONLY when we are ready to Release the pressure.Inserting it at the very beginning before the cooking sometimes resulted in a little too much steam escaping during the pressure cooking. That’s because the bottom edge of the Diverter tends to lift up the valve slightly during the Seal stage - so steam does escape a little more during cooking, compared to not putting it on in the beginning. So after a few tests, I rather put it on at the end when the Ninja says “DONE”. Just be sure to insert it so when doing the Instant Release, the Minion isnt facing directly at us or at the Crisper Lid (the steam from the cooked food may coat the Air Fryer Crisper Lid if the liquid in the inner pot has a lot of ingredients)Note that when the steam is released through the Diverter, some droplets may fall onto the Pressure Lid - so just use a cloth to wipe it off (but never place any covering on TOP of the valve vent). It’s a nifty way to stop the steam from shooting straight up towards the kitchen cabinets during Instant Release.

The diverter worked as designed
Easy to put on and take off, extremely easy to use. It has four slot options and fits perfectly on my OP300 steam release valve. Now I can divert the hot steam away, avoiding any potential damage to my wooden kitchen cabinet. Highly recommended!
