D-Day and Normandy: A Visual History Hardcover – 16 May 2019

This book which covers the D day landings, which my dad was involved in.(Gold beach) is a nice clean book sits well in my bookcase is well written accompanied by some excellent photographs, would happily recommend this book.

Brought this for my husband as he likes his world war 2 history. Took ages to come which was a shame as it was to be a gift. Great images and lots of interesting information.

The story of how young men gave their all to free Europe. A must have for enthusiasts and collectors and a brilliant book for those with little knowledge of that momentous day in 1944. "We will remember them".

Bought as gift for Father in Law who has visceral childhood memories of that awful but essential day.Because of the well illustrated nature of this time, at 89 years of age he thoroughly enjoyed it.

Bought as a gift so I have had only a cursory look at the book. It does appear to have much information which backs up the good if not excellent photographs. There is much information about preparations leading up to D Day itself. I felt that the photographs of the actual day were limited in number. Still, I think the work contains a good balance of photographs and written information.

Get your kids to forget about the global pandemic with this terrific read.Joking aside, it's a great book, thoroughly recommended

Good value

I was looking for a nice gift for a friend who is a big WWII buff. This book has some great photos and well documented commentary. He Loved the book. It was so nice, I was not too sure I would end up giving it to him - instead, thought of keeping it for myself.

Super pictures and informative, with extracts taken from peoples diary at the time, which is a very worth while read

D-Day and Normandy: A Visual History is yet another top quality production of the UK's Imperial War Museum (IWM). Intelligent, cogent text supplemented by rarely seen photographs of the D-Day events and documents. A publication worth every penny.
