This is a beautiful, surprisingly large piece that is almost a steal at the price I paid.I've now bought this exact item twice to give as a wedding present. It looks so nice they think you've paid way more than you actually did!!It has a weight that makes it feel like it could become an heirloom. Too big to be a candy dish, but a great piece to sit on the dining table with decorative items inside, or even for use as a serving bowl for cold items.It has flawless lines, as you'd expect from Waterford. They're arguably the finest glass and crystal cutters, so you're getting a high-quality piece that is actually manufactured in Europe.

This was ordered for a wedding present (along with the accompanying vase) as wedding presents for a young couple whose registry was mostly "practical" items. It was a hit with them. They found it to be dressy but not overly so. I gave the bowl and Mama, the vase. The Waterford name was impressive, too. Both were a hit.
