To be candid, we had higher expectations. The frame is most definitely chrome steel and shiny. No bells and whistles. However, we wouldn't describe it as particularly slim; the frame appears standard size. The plate, state, and state motto (Connecticut) are clearly visible and the entire set-up does convey a relatively clean look. We were, unfortunately, unable to mount the chrome screw covers, as the setup on our car differed slightly from the usual. So, indecorous bolt-ends protrude. All-in-all, a nice, clean frame, but at $24.00 probably not a do-over. We were indeed in the hunt for the “slim” look.

These frames are so deep you could fit 3 or 4 plates inside of them, leaving a huge gap between the plate and the frame. You need longer screws to make use of the screw covers. The longer screws included do not fit standard size screw holes. Screw covers are made of cheap painted plastic, not steel. Other reviews state the same issues. I'm returning both of mine.

very streamlined, simple but classy looking plates. Buyers be mindful of State's law regarding covered numbers and letters of your plates. Bought another from seller had to return because it covered most of my numbers and letters at bottom. It was a blessing in disguise because I like these much better anyway.

Got this a few yrs ago and still have it on my car. A very clean design that nicely accents the other subtle chrome bits on your car. The only that starts to degrade are the bolts holding it in (which will be fine if you get some stainless steel ones as well). Even then, everything comes off pretty easily with a good metal polish. This is coming from someone who lives in MI and drives on salted roads in the winter time. Excellent product.

Chrome tag frame is perfect for my car since it's black. Easily installed and looks elegant.would suggest this product for anyone.

Got tired of replacing the cheaper chrome versions which "pitted out" after six months. Have two of these on my car now...the older one has withstood two midwest winters and still is spotless.

A nice finished look to my new car. Heavy duty, will last the life of the car. I would recommend this to anyone.
